I just bought the dewalt, i tried to top off my vehicle tires, tires read 31psi, inflate to 35psi, and it takes only 26 seconds per tire. I'm happy for this purchase
One thing I saw on other videos comparing between the two is that if you try to inflate an empty tire to say 32PSI, the Milwaukee will shut off midway due to overheating. One video showed the Dewalt runs for over two hours without shutting off.
Interesting, I haven't experienced that on mine as the M18 has a duty cycle of 20 mins. It will sometimes shut off for 1 second because of the true fill technology so it doesn't overfill, but it turns right back on to top off. If the one you saw can't fill a tire to 32psi I'm guessing that pump or battery is defective.
@@TeamDIYNow The one I saw had an overheat message on the display. I have just ordered the Dewalt, for me, I don’t have other Dewalt products, so I would otherwise have to order the battery and charger, but it can run from the 12V socket so that fits the bill for me.
I don't own any dewalt tools only milwaukee. But milwaukee missed a huge opportunity to included the ability to power the device with your car. For that reason, I am going dewalt and I'll buy an extra battery for it just in case
Yea I agree, its the only reason I also have the Dewalt. I leave the Dewalt in my vehicle without the battery so its always there if needed. No need to worry about lithium battery getting to hot in the car either as its not required.
Got the Dewalt because of the battery platform and it’s literally the best tire inflator I’ve owned. I used this thing so much to top off so many tires!
Thank you for the video. I see DeWalt is taller and narrower compared to Milwaukee though both have batteries attached to the bottom. Plus Milwaukee has 4 legs, so I guess it's more stable by design. My only question to Milwaukee is how to deflate it? Someone below mentioned they create a vacuum, but I'd like to better understand it. So far it seems DeWalt has more features but Milwaukee is simply faster when it needs to inflate something.
Glad you liked it! The Milwaukee doesn't have a deflate option so that is one thing that the Dewalt has over the Milwaukee. I would say if you needed the speed, this M18 inflator is the fastest I have seen. If you need the additional power options, inflate & deflate, then the Dewalt works good as well.
What nozzle? Ive never seen a large inflation nozzle that has a schrader valve. The Milwaukee nozzle i seen would fit a small beach ball sized hole, not the larger holes that snow tubes, water tubes, beds etc use.
I wish you would have still inflated the ball with the milwaukee. It would have still filled it just as easy. Second, the dewalt was much louder. Last, that dewalt was slow, wasn't around 2 min. Was over 2.5 which is almost 3 times slower than the milwaukee. Still a great video. Thanks
Rubbish..set you low psi tyre from your rideon lawn mower to 15 psi... the milwaukee... will pump it up tyo 15 and stop.. then 2 sec later show the real inflation... 25 psi.. bang goes the tyre... and the anti over inflation protection seems to be bs too... use the machine and tell me it works... it doesn;t.. milwaukee seem to be doidging .. me .. im sending them to the ACCC for misrepresentation.. I hope they are forced to withdraw the product .. till they fix it.. or fix the bs advertising
Sent to back... I thought it was faulty,.,, they sent me a new one.. and exactly the same problem...took it to the store .. something i might be doin wrong? No! same problem the guys in the store had same problem.... Milwaukee.. ignoring me like they normally do ... so i'm going to drag them through the fire this time.. they seem they can urinate on peeps .. and get away with mispresentation and refusing to put me back to where i was before i bought their faulty and not fit for purpose product
Yes you can also use them as a gauge. After you turn on and have connected to tire valve stem it will show reading the tire is at currently. See 6:20 right before I press the button to start pumping up tire.
I still like some of the features of the Dewalt, but you're right when comparing to the Milwaukee it does seem slow. Not sure if the Milwaukee is just a head of the times or the Dewalt is due for a gen2.

Type 1 or Type 2 for the Dewalt?
The model car collection you have is amazing man! Great video of the two as well! Thanks!
Glad you liked the diecast collection and the video! Thanks for watching, I greatly appreciate it!

@@moshezaharia4666 Yea the Dewalt does work well when connected via the 12v car connection. The only way I use mine as well.
sure that wasn't the m12?

You could've stopped before inflation of the beach ball. I was sold on the Milwaukee at 57 seconds. Great video!

I lay my dewalt on its back. It has “feet” all the way around. So that’s not really a factor
Screw on the nozzle and the Milwaukee fills up the floaties really fast. Granted, it does not have a deflate function. I just use the vacuum for that.
You're correct, the Milwaukee nozzle does work pretty good as well!
Please tell how you create a vacuum with Milwaukee inflator? Or did you mean another way of creating a vacuum? Thanks.
@@yolo-cars a separate vacuum

Is it ok to leave a 4AH battery connected while not in use? Or take the battery off when not in use?
You should be good to leave the battery connected to either one of these inflators as they won't draw down the battery when not in use.

Can these be used as a simple pressure gauge to give a PSI reading?
