- Welcome or welcome back to the stash! today we're going over the brand new DC game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and why it's a complete disgrace towards all DC fans.
The story will follow the Suicide Squad as they fend off an alien invasion by Brainiac. Somehow, the alien being has taken control of the Justice League and is forcing them to aid him, leaving the Squad as Earth's last line of defense against annihilation.

@@susnut3819I mean more than half of the game's criticism comes from the fact they butchered the Arkham lore to the point if you consider this game truly canon so much stuff from the Arkham games no longer make sense so yeah if they just said this was a seperate continuity what they did to Batman would have been a bit more accepted, but not the goddamn Arkham Batman.
Hey,since the game makes no sense lore wise both with connecting to arkham and overall dc lore,i'd say it's very easy to consider it non canon
What I find strange is that, Batman’s introduction has him taking out the squad one by one using his Arkham moves. That’s what his boss fight should have been, a horror movie experience with gadgets and face punching tacked in.
And how they say there not scared of Batman yet in that first scene they absolutely terrified

We could’ve had Batman beyond. In the Arkhamverse. Kevin conroy giving us advice and inspiration over our comms instead of Alfred or Barbara would’ve been the perfect send off for him.

Funny how nobody points out that technically batman's death scene shouldn't even work with how Harley had the gun aimed at his head as his cowl is bullet proof and she mainly pointed the gun at his cowl not the exposed face part
When i first saw the lineup of the squad i was like "ok those are only the characters you start with right? We are going to unlock characters that are actually able to fight superman and the flash later in the game right?
Seriously who thought it would be a good idea have harley quinn, deadshot and captain boomerang on a squad to kill the justice league should be put in the same level of the guy who wrote hyperspace ramming into star wars

@@cancerconnoisseurSuicide Squad comics don't have much world ending storylines, their literal intention is to be a secret black ops task force meant to not draw attention and even if they did get busted they are just criminals unable to be associated with the US government.
I agree firmly, i expected to see faces like Enchantress, Parasite, Gorilla Grodd, Cheetah etc. because besides King Shark everyone else on the Squad is dead meat as soon as they are just seen by any of the corrupted League members.

If I wrote Batman's death, I would have put him self-destructed on the Brainiac ship and along with Brainiac too, and the suicide squad, established as arrogant and selfish people, will claim Batman's death as their work, and Waller will buy it since she's the one that made the project team, basically Batman is the last boss fight and hes able to snap out of the mind control and do the right in the end like arkham knight ending. This is still a win-win; we get Batman sacrifices ,the most respectful death, he saved everyone, and the game stays true to the title (stupid title, stupid concept).
Anything is better than this. All memebers except Wonder Woman got such a poor and unceremonious death and it’s just so depressing. Can’t believe rocksteady is shamed of their own legacy

I liked the Arkham trilogy, I plan to replay it. But I do not care about their marketing lies. This game seemed to be doomed from the day it was revealed as live service.
2 things i hate about this game:
1. This is one of the last games that kevin conroy voiced, and this was it, far out rest in piece.
2. How the hell did they think that this gane should be in the arkham universe. Literally couldve been perfect for an alternate ending of injustice 2.
Especially because this undoes everything from the Arkham games, what were they thinking!?

Heard about that I really hope it’s true, this would be so unfitting to be his last performance. He doesn’t deserve that. Rocksteady is barely the same one from back in the Arkham days, pretty sure nearly everyone gone

For me I'm not mad that our heroes died, it's expected anyway, it's in the title. I just don't like that they didn't give the heroes a good send off. They just died. And don't give me the "We're making it realistic" schtick it's a superhero world, it's DC, should have given it a bit more pizzazz.
Would have been nice if somehow batman got a temporary cure to the mind control and cured superman for a final face off with braniac and then die heroically, the game gives you two special buttons to call in either superman or batman to aid you in fighting the mass hordes of enemies while seeing them wreak havoc in the background and then catch up to them fight with brainiac along side them, then they die, and then you and your team finish him yourselves. And then bury the heroes. Now THAT is a good send off.
RIP Kevin Conroy.
There’s been many cases where our heroes have died but in a satisfying way. I can think of USM fighting the sinester six off the top of my head where he died saving his loved ones in his most heroic feat yet within that series. It’s so sad in this majority of them are treated like a sick dog :/

Great video my friend. The disrespect to these heroes, the Arkhamverse, and Batman was anger inducing. Also isn’t Batman’s suit made of Kevlar and strong material, I feel his death was soulless and wrong. Superman was ugghh, then boomerang takes a piss on the flash wtf. Of course we need female power Wonder Woman to be the only one to not get effected. This game could have been really something amazing

2:50 Glad to see someone else point this out. WB has denied us for years of being to play as any of DC’s other non Batman big hitters in their own games like Superman, Flash, GL, or just the damn Justice League (imagine how great it would’ve been to actually see how this Batman joins and adjusts to being part of this team, along with his dynamic with these other characters rather than the game TELLING US). What do we get in return? The D team they’ve been shoving down our throats for years that allows use to kill said character.
I remember wanting to see Rocksteady get their hands on Superman so badly after the Easter eggs throughout the series, and especially Arkham Knight. To see him get the love and respect Batman and his lore got for the first time in years through a well crafted gaming experience. Now we finally get to see him and it’s same character assassination we’ve seen everywhere else with how dumb he’s portrayed to just walk into Braniac’s trap, and being mind controlled/evil AGAIN. Then again I can’t be surprised considering this was being made while the previous WB higher ups were there, who basically made a career of shitting on this character (or any character that wasn’t Batman).
DC to me at least always seemed blind to what the fans actually want! I can’t remember the last time they released something that we’ve been asking for

and if any of the Justice League did resist brainiac, it would be Batman… not Flash and Wonder Woman. I was so looking forward to this, bummed it went the way it did.
Here’s what I would’ve done if I were the developers. If this was a properly written story, the Justice League would be needed to defeat Brainiac. I don’t see how the Suicide Squad realistically beats him otherwise. And we know that Poison Ivy and Lex Luthor are in the game as well.
So here would’ve been my idea: Have Luthor and Ivy develop a plant based healing serum capable of bringing back each member of the Justice League to life once they’re dead. Have each member of the Justice League be killed by the Suicide Squad (that includes Wonder Woman too, as in this scenario she’s also mind controlled) then have the Suicide Squad inject them with the serum to bring them back to life, and make them playable once you beat the game. You now have a reason for Ivy’s return, a purpose for Luthor and you go through with the title of the game without permanently killing them.

I don’t think the story is that bad, the character design is pretty good and metropolis looks amazing but the overall level design and gameplay is pretty boring, like why did they make it a shooter?
They threw away their own critically acclaimed free flow combat just so they could make this another over complicated shooter, it’s sad :/

Hello, I don’t know if you’re gonna read this comment but I wanna say for the king shark becoming a green lantern for that short moment. I 100% agree with King Shark shouldn’t be able to wield the ring as what it should done is flown away like you said in the video, but I watched a video by someone named comicstorian and he basically had a theory of this not really being the Justice League at all. Like you mentioned in the video of Superman being stabbed by the kryptonite should have least slowed him down or at most killed him as well as earlier about the ring not acting as it should be. Basically as it stands Brainaic is using clones of some sort to mimic the league due to when Boomerang cut off Flash’s finger when hiding in the building where Batman first appears in the game and when Batman takes the flash the next time we see him with that finger not being cut off at all and it being there as if as though it was never cut off. That’s all I wanted to say. I do say that these details in the game could’ve been writing way better and if this theory proves true it would be too late cause everyone would’ve forgotten this game by then.

Nonono all good bro. A part of me feels like the game will go this route as a form of damage control however I think it’s too late to save it. It’s pretty much dead already and it serves them right for making us kill Superman (clone or not) instead of playing as him

Dude, the Arkham Origins suit is a thing in Knight, with several references to that game as well, it's canon.
It contradicts so much of the continuity. Elements of origins are canon however overall it’s not, just like the Arkham knight comics not being canon

In my head, Batman's death would definitely be different. Maybe not much better but I think its a bit more respectful to the history of the character. Not changing much but after the boss, theres a cutscene with all 4 members trying to overwhelm batman on a rooftop, but he's still too good. He Smoke bombs and knocks down boomer, grapples deadshot out of the sky into a flip takedown (Like in AK), just one-shots Harley again, and idk he can use a bomb or something for shark. He's still the Batman, even if his mind isn't there. Boomer gets up to throw his boomerang, Batman pulls a batarang to cut his off but as he's winding up his throw, Batman hesitates a bit...his body freezes. Suddenly he snaps out of it and throws the batarang, but it misses the boomerang completely and hits the wall, Batman takes the boomerang to his head, knocking him off balance. The fight continues on the roof as Batman regroups, but these mistakes keep happening. Harley is the first to realize something is off with him, when it clicks. Bruce is fighting from within to give them openings. It culminates with Batman being overwhelmed and attempting to grapple to safety as all 4 suicide squad members raise their guns to him, as he prepares to fire the grapple, his body freezes once again and he stares forward at them. The suicide squad open fire and batman takes the shots before falling from the roof and crashing down onto a car below. The suit was enough to protect him from the full impact of the bullets and the car but at this point, Batman's body is broken and unable to fight any longer. The squad descend on him and they have words. Harley muses about everything Batman has taken from her over the years, about how long she's waited for this opportunity to show him what it feels like. But she knows this isn't right. She finally beat the bat, but clearly, this isn't really him. In a moment, Harley takes pity on Bruce and tells deadshot to put him out of his misery. As she turns to walk away, Bruce lurches forward and grabs the barrel of her revolver. The shocked squad all raise their weapons, but they notice as Batman slowly raises the barrel to his own face, Harley turns to look at Bruce, who stares back with his normal Blue eyes, a long moment passes, No words are exchanged. And then, Bruce closes his eyes. When he opens them again, they have gone back to the purple hue of Brainiacs control, and in that moment, Harley pulls the trigger. Bit cliche I know but just something I was thinking over.
It’s definitely better than what was in the game. It’s so annoying how he was put down like a sick animal :/

To be honest, I dont get how this is a part of the Arkham Verse. I think if it was its own thing, it would be great, and I've played it and personally enjoyed it. However, I dont like the fact you go through arkham Knight and batmans' biggest fear is becoming like the joker and killing everyone ( from my understanding ) and you go through that game overcoming that and compelty getting rid of the joker. I loved how it ended. Then this game feels like they compelty go aggisnt it, and he kills a bunch of people that he cared about and others like what was the point of him going through that struggle in the first place if this was all going to happen? And another note batman lost to the suicide squad but practically defeated an army. In my mind the arkham verse ended at knight ive got more to say but thats all. Love the vid by the way! :)

All these characters that were unceremoniously desecrated by the new Rocksteady/Sweet Baby Inc. creative hacks will never understand the cultural zeitgeist that kept these characters relevant for literal decades. And their pitiful attempts at damage control is not going to spare them the collective animosity they garnered from these really dumb "creative" choices.
This absurd need to subvert and deconstruct heroes in this cynical age of progressivism is nauseatingly shite tripe. If they're so concerned with it, they should make their own original works.

@@mnstash I'm sure the "comics" they've read were some of the post New 52 garbage. Granted there were outliers in that particular phase that were somewhat good, but subjectively it was a glimpse of what we're seeing now: complete destruction of legacy characters in popular media.

Very good video. Short and to the point - the best kind.
I was watching the game movie from this on Gamer's Little Playground (watched around half so far) and it is as disrespectful to the characters as many comics published today by DC and Marvel. Characters acting completely out of character (possessed or not), seemingly no understanding of how the universe works (Lanter ring for example), injecting kids with nano bombs and general death/mutilation done for shi*s and giggles, s3x jokes that are more fitting for the Boys than DC Universe (e.g. dirty movies Harley watched or "oh look, Bommerang's got a big di*k). "We welcome all heroes" and probably more dumb things. From a gameplay/design perspective, why do the characters talk all the frigging time and are so insufferable?
Now that I think of it, this game reminds me of James Gunn's Suicide Squad. Similar non-serious, jokey and unfunny approach.

This game is FANTASTIC - and the only negative things I've ever heard come from click-bait TH-camrs.
It's way more "Ultimate Alliance" than "Arkham Knight..." but I fucken loved Ultimate Alliance.
This game is horrible with boring repetitive gameplay mechanics as well as missions. It’s got a story that’s so poorly put together you’d think an edgy 13 year old made it. Another live service game that no one asked for nor wanted when we could’ve got another proper Arkham game. This game is infact so bad that WB themselves called it a flop. It’s not click bait it’s called not accepting whatever shit that comes out. Ultimate alliance was an incredible game made with love for each character and the overall marvel universe, this however is quite the opposite

The issue, in my mind, is this would have been more generally accepted- if they did a bunch of JL stuff before hand and had this as a what-if

Everyone knows Batman has died in much curler ways. It’s not the fact that he dies , it’s the fact that it takes place in a universe that has been built upon for many many years and beloved. He could have died a much more heroic death then strapped to a chair and shot by Harley Quinn of all characters . A character he has defeated in universe of the Arkham games 😂

on the goleden silver and bronze age, abd yes he had wayyyy more dumb stories then this, the story isnt bad in this, its the gameplay that sucks and what kinda game they made, the story is decent

Let’s go back to knight
He gets outed by Scarecrow, blows up his entire mansion to fake his and Alfred's deaths to protect the identities of his family/friends, and disappears underground as a new vigilante who uses fear toxin to continue protecting Gotham from the darkness.
Then the Justice League appears out of nowhere, they invite Batman to join the League, and he throws his entire plan out the window and agrees without hesitation. I can only imagine how royally pissed off the rest of the bat family must have been in this situation.
The knight fall protocol. What was such a fitting end to the Arkham series was all undone by bringing him back as normal Batman who is now all buddies with the JL. “This is how it happened, this is how the Batman died” remember that? Knight was the END of the story for Batman, demon bat’s story? Just the beginning. Only way to make it work would’ve been a Batman beyond game but to bring him back just to have him shot in the face to die again literally made the conclusion of knight pointless

Everyones passionate about something. Some people get hurt over sports, some over movies, and in this case fictional characters. Everyone has hobbies i guess.
What will also not ever be tragic is someone incapable of thinking that games are hobbies to hundreds of millions of people. Especially when its a good beloved series that gets ruined for garbage like this.
I dont care about this at all compared to other things happening in the world. But you can atleast feel big for mocking people for what is dear to them right. Loser
