They do actually explain how the League got captured in audio logs…and it’s nearly worse than not explaining it.
They get caught because Clark convinces the entire League - including Batman, who’s *known* for his paranoia (he even points out how bad of an idea it is) - to board Brainiac’s ship without a plan or without any idea of what Brainiac’s capable of…solely because Brainiac told them he simply wanted to negotiate.
We don’t see the fight, but it’s confirmed that Brainiac blitzes the League - Batman, Superman & Lantern - within seconds, leaving Flash with enough time to barely save Wonder Woman & himself.
In short, they made the entire League stupid so that they could get captured.

I did not like this game for so many reasons, many you covered. I think the most upsetting was story, the way they literally “pissed on” my heroes & forced me to watch them be killed off. That was a line too far for me.
Well that and gameplay that sucks, only 3 repetitive mission types, ughhh so much is wrong with this game.
Sad to see Rocksteady fall this way.

Also, if this game's Deadshot was retired during or before Origins, why wouldn't Black Mask reach out to the SSKTJL Deadshot if he was known as the true Arkham universe Deadshot? Surely, he'd have known that the white guy who pops up masquerading as Deadshot was a fake or suspected he was if Deadshot is a different race now all of a sudden.

But I shit you not several people are saying “ that’s impossible he has way too much power”, or “ the suicide squad is way more interesting gameplay” or “ can do anything and that would never work in a game”….. As if they can’t make a game with metropolis/and Gotham afew rural areas with enemies with semi super powers I.e. aliens, robots, monsters, crime stopping missions and natural disaster missions. And obviously unlike suicide you can make a good story that has no agenda. Spread the word. Eff suicide squad, make SUPERMAN!

Also this game could have started off with the original plan was to “ kill the Justice League” but then when they find out brainiac is too powerful they could have figured out a way to save the Justice League and ALL WORK TOGETHER momentarily off course. And the suicide squad ends up saving the Justice league. Where now they can all defeat brainiac and his minions and somehow figure out their freedom. At least the message is a good one. Work together to save the world. Instead of dividing us all which is a terrible message in 2024.

I was thinking the other day that the basic concept of this game doesn't work, because you have two big twists that counteract each other. The JLA corrupted and turned bad? That's a big twist. Supervillains forced to fight for earth? That's a big twist. But the two cancel each other out so you just end up with Harley Quin wanting to kill Batman like she does on any normal Tuesday. Suppose you had coalition of heroes and villains teaming up against Brainiac--that would create some interesting dynamics. Imagine Harley Quinn and Nightwing fighting side by side against an evil-Batman. That could be interesting. But from what I've seen, there's nothing like that in this game.

I'm pretty sure they do explain how Deadshot is suddenly black, but it's a lazy explanation IMO that's also easy to miss. I'm pretty sure they insinuated that the Deadshot that Batman faced in the prior Arkham games was basically just some guy who stole Deadshot's name. That's it, nothing more than that. So according to this game, this new guy was the REAL Deadshot all along, and that other guy was some nobody stealing his name and gimmick.

My thoughts exactly, hell I thought I was the only one gave this "Story" a 0/10 or really a negative INFINITY out of 10 with how much they castrated and murdered The Arkham-Verse after 9 FREAKING YEARS! Hell the only thing I can give this game over Marvel's Avengers is it's Traversal and maybe the graphics but even Avengers had more variety overall in gameplay and enemies and even Missions, it took at least 2 - 3 years for that to die out but this "Live Service" doesn't seem very lively to me with how low the player count is and how much they were asking for with a price of at least 70$ - 100$ USD and don't get me started on that Australian Price God forbid the Deluxe addition. Not to mention all the technical problems at launch add to that the fact this "Game" is ONLINE ONLY! plus people couldn't even get what they pre-ordered or even paid FULL PRICE for, and David Zaslav/Warner wants more stuff like this? HELL NO SCREW THAT! Man if this is what we have to look forward to for DC Games? hell, for Superhero Games I sincerely hope not or I may have to find a way to invent time travel just so I can make sure Sweat Baby Inc. never get's started so we have better stories and less Live Service Trash like this infecting Humanity's Soul

My general take is that the story is actually pretty decent (especially given the fact that they directly imply that the League you fight are Brainiac clones, not the original league members) but the SCRIPT is terrible, Sefton Hill once again is credited with the story and I think he did a fine job… the script writers really went for this “SEE HOW FUN AND SILLY IT IS” vibe that doesn’t fit the Arkham universe at all. My biggest issue with the script and story is Knight left Batman off in a good way, he ended this whole turn as Batman.
Then “Superman talked to him and he returned” is given as his reason for coming back, felt VERY cheap to me.
I like the gameplay mechanics, just wish we got more exploration and not “SHOOT THESE THINGS”

Think you guys missed a lot of clues.
They do explain the white deadshot. They do try to do their own agenda from the start - boomerang escapes his cuffs first! The squad is evil, why wouldn’t they take a finger or pee on a corpse? In the Comics, villains do worse.
The biggest one that went way over your head is that this isn’t our justice league. Brainiac is even says “My Justice League” that wasn’t our League.

There may have been HINTS that the Justice League will come back,but at the end of the story so far,you do not see any of the Justice League alive!
Sure,they may continue the story in DLC number 12,but for anyone who doesn't search through the whole city and find all the obscure clues,Rock steady has killed the Justice League disrespectfully and had c-list characters group high five over it.🫤
