Was so glad they showed Nightcrawler and Wolverine teaming up for an intense fight scene. They are so close in the comics most times and got into battles all the time.

To defend the Morph powers complaint; Their mutant power allows them to mimic anyone and as long as it's a physical ability, they can mimic that as well. They can't make Adamantium, they just make an approximation of Admantium. They can look like the Hulk, but they're no where near as powerful. They can "fly" as Archangel (They only ever really glide when being a flying character though), but they can't make inter-dimensional portals in their eyes to be Cyclops and use his Optic Blast. They can be big and bouncy as the Blob, but they can't be a telepath like Charles. So they can't be an Omega Level threat because of their powers, but they could be an Omega Level threat if they were to impersonate the president and launch nukes. (Interesting thought though. If they were to turn into Captain America, their shield wouldn't be able to be thrown because they'd be hurling a chunk of their own body around. Sorry. Just thought about that.) Anywho, their powers make sense, and they never go out of those rules in the show. They can use physical abilities, and they're never as good as the real person they're mimicking, powers, but they work. I'm personally cool with that.
I have been corrected many times since this video 😅 I only really knew morph from the show and the reallyyyy early appearances when morph wasnt even known as morph! one thing I still dont get is during the psylocke or Illyana cameos, morph was able to copy their fighting skills which I would think does not count as powers and more or less actual skill that you'd have to learn! I saw it only as a minor gripe because I genuinely loved all the cameos morph did and felt like this version is way better than the og animated series one
@@mnstash He's no Taskmaster, but he can copy fighting styles. Now, of course they've never explained this in the show, but my head-cannon answer to that is; Him and Wolverine and Gambit all liked to train in the Danger Room together. The Danger Room has pretty much every mutant, powerful entities, and mutates known to exist on the planet, in order to be able to train to fight them in case they went evil. So I assume (and thats not usually good to do, but none the less) thats where he got his long list of characters he could change into and mimic. But again, thats just inside my head, and might be very wrong.
As a gambit fan I’m sad that he died but dang did he go out like an absolute badass. But it’s so sad he never knew rogue chose him. But this is marvel and it’s rare that characters stay dead. Plus rogue and gambit are one of my favorite superhero couples especially in the comics.
I wondered what the significance of Apocalypse picking up a card and mentioning death was. My friend pointed out it is likely foreshadowing Gambit as the Horseman of Death.
I'm embarrassed to admit how insanely hyped I was when Daredevil and Peter/MJ showed up lmfao. I've never been a massive X-Men guy but this show really is something great
@@mnstash They could also continue The Incredible Hulk and have She-Hulk prominently appear. I was to see Black Cat didn't have her muscles you could clearly see in the Spider-Man cartoon.
As a Gambit fan, I was also very moved on how they treated his death. If they’re gonna kill him off, they at least did it with meaning and heroism. I love how they turned Gambit into a tragic hero with his heartbreak and the ultimate sacrifice to save everyone in episode 5. They done him dirty in prior episodes by emasculating him with Magneto and Rogue’s romance but I think the writers did it on purpose to maximize our sympathy for Gambit before his final episode
they definitely wanted that extra emotional aspect with how things went so south with him and rogue and I feel like it worked especially with rouge choosing him at the end and having gambit never knowing!
@@mnstash…agreed, episode 5 was both the best day and worst day for Gambit fans but I can’t wait for what they will do for him as Apocalypse’s horseman in the future
@@rayray6490 im interest to see how much they'll take from the source material, so far they've done an incredible job at actually feeling like a comic adaptation so im pretty excited. after e 5 I remember just looking at all my gambit figures and his first comic appearance just numb😭

As a long-time X-Men fan and fan of the original series, even though I wasn't born when the show was around, HOLY S*** , THIS SERIES IS EXCEPTIONAL (pun intended). No joke, this series is so masterfully well written, with absolutely phenomenal animation and truly compelling characters and complex, deep, dark themes that genuinely make you question the inherent societal bigotry and how to process internal thoughts of fighting for equality and how to do so in a way to help society grow from the status quo of discrimination and to do more than allow yourself to become numb to a neverending struggle that you feel like isn't your responsibility. Truthfully, this series is some of the *BEST MARVEL MEDIA WE'VE EVER SEEN SINCE ENDGAME* (except No Way Home, GOTG3 and Loki)! Compared to how phenomenal this series was, Fox movies seem like amateur student films with such a bare-bones understanding of how truly incredible and insane the X-Men stories can be when you truly hire people who care about these amazing characters. After watching this show and its epic finale, Bastion became one of my favourite X-Men/Marvel villains. Theo James especially gave a superb performance as Bastion; now, whenever I read a comic featuring Bastion, I'll hear his voice. Not only him but the entire voice cast, especially for Cyclops, Magneto, Storm, Jean, Charles, Gambit, Rogue, Jubilee, Wolverine, Morph, and Nightcrawler, all did a tremendous job. Bro; the number of cameos in this series is insane! Cyclops and Jean saying goodbye to Cable/Nathan had me in tears🥺. 10/10 SEASON 1 I NEED A SEASON 2 NOW!!!
I finally gave this show a chance and couldn’t get enough of it. Each episode left me wanting more and more. I finished it in two sittings. After a bunch of disappointing movies from the MCU X-Men 97 reminded me of how I fell in love with the superhero genre.
I'll give this season a 97/10 and it's easily the best Disney+ original series except for possibly Andor. 8:24 Fun fact Jennifer Hale actually played Jena Grey before in Wolverine and the X-Men, and of course she's my favorite voice actress ever so I loved seeing her. 11:35 I remember cheering when I saw that PETER FOUND MARY JANE YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 25:30 They even topped X-Men Evolution's amazing Cyclops.
Never saw your videos before, but great job with the review. I wasn't too enthusiastic about this show because i lost faith in marvel. I didn't watch it until episode 3 came out. I was going to give the first episode a shot, just because xmen were always my favorite comic book characters, and i ended up watching all 3 episodes, and eagerly awaited each new episode. This is one of my favorite things I've ever seen from marvel, and I'm hoping it doesn't stray too far from what mr DeMayo had written for season 2. They really knocked it out of the park in my humble opinion.
well I sure hoped you enjoyed this one :) oh Man I was super skeptical at first and I dont blame myself, you or anyone else for having that mindset, they definitely needed to re earn out trust and this was some way of doing it! I can't wait for season 2
Personally, XMen TAS & '97 represent the comic pretty well, even the parts that people outside of the comic don't see. The themes of racism and xenophobia which are a staple to the franchise, The soap-opera levels of drama and love affairs and love triangles (people forget that the Comic has always been like this lmao) The cheesy resurrections and revivals (some debate this but I personally feel like this has always been part of XMen as well, especially in TAS). The only problem that I have with '97 is that it shoehorns SO MUCH in every episode that I feel this narrative whiplash every time I watch the next episode. It's like the writers were constantly going for "alright so how can we incorporate as many side characters from the comic as we can". We got the Adversary, Ronan, Gladiator, Lilandra, Banshee (only for a second or two before he got absolutely roasted, the whole hellfire club, Forge, Bastion, etc etc etc. And these are still kind protagonical in their role for the story's narrative. What I don´t like about that is that it tells me that the series will cut as many corners and move the story forward was much as possible on each episode. This is good, but what I also like about TAS is that it took its time to develop both main and side characters. I don't feel that's gonna be a thing in '97. Still tho, a GREAT series that holds true to the OG
I feel like even if the show went from 10 to 13 episodes it would fix a lot of the pacing problems! even some of the og series went to like 20 plus eps in one season. I was gonna add a little part in the video about a con of the show being me, you and a lot of fans just genuinely wanting more
If there is one thing I love about X Men 97 as that ir changes the tropes of how it plays out. To something surprising. Gambit's demise appeared out of nowhere (not sure it happened in the comics) but it really felt the show stated, 'You think we're a typical show all because of marketing nostalgia sike.' And while Gambit is likely going to come back and stop Rogue from darker territory, the show really wanted to get the feel that its not a Kid's show. It's dark and I'm happy it went full adult because while the X men Animated show didn't shy away from mature subject matter, it still was your typical Saturday Morning Cartoon. X men 97 showed that change is necessary for a franchise to be revived. It may not be for everyone's tea and like any other media it has flaws, though it was able to presever the spirit of the animated series and be its own series. I'm glad this show made Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto) show the good and dark side of freedom fighting. And show both of them had flaws with their approaches. Xavier was too complacent and his control freak tendencies caused his quest for peace to be one note. As shown when Magento tried to follow his friend's philosophy yet he failed because Xavier's actions while good sometimes lacked action. Especially when pacifism could only do so much that another side will break the agreement. And I am glad this revival series made Magneto sympathetic yet deeply flawed. He did want to reform and follow Xavier's dream as a promise. But unlike him he is emotional and while he genuinely wants to prove his cause he ends up getting into extremism territory. When Magneto feels Xavier's methods fail he lashes out and resumes to destroy humankind even though his powers would potentially harm his mutantkind. Showing that he does care for his people but his actions make him no better than the bigots. And his extremism might be called out especially what he did to poor Weolverine. Despite this even if he faltered the show was able to have both of them make up in the finale. With Xavier finally realizing Magneto is a victim just like him against humanity and whatever happens as long as they're together they can fight as one. I thought they were going to bring Onslaught but thank god because at least the two could reconcile and make amends. Overall I think X men 97 made me appreciate superhero media as well as becoming a Casual X Men fan. Despite the controversy of firing Beau DeMayo and some story beats that feel rushed. X Men 97 is a return to Marvel. And I hope it will revive the Marvel Animation and then become a juggernaut just like its rival the DCAU.
Morph was in 4 episodes and was originally created for the show so u can't say it's a retcon. He's not omega cuz he can only duplicate and copy physical powers he can't replicate Jean or Storm since they don't have physical powers
Well he first appeared as morph in the show but originally was in x-men issue 35 I believe. Anyway I was just commenting how I felt his powers were inconsistent especially with how he managed to also copy psylocke and other characters fighting skill as well as their physical powers
@@mnstash he can't copy psylocke's energy blade but he can copy her physical powers just wanted to point out why he's not omega and how his powers have limitations
I have watched Gambit die more than once and I’m STILL not over it. By the time I watched this show, I adored him. I’m convinced that post credit scene though showing his card means he’s coming back as Death. Also I compared his death to how DC Comics treats Nightwing. That’s saying something about my love for Gambit because Nightwing is my literal favorite Titan, BatFamily member, and DC character as a whole lol. Oh and I’m still saying Cyclops in this show should be the go to for his character. He’s that damn good and this show pretty much made me love him.
Yeah it was pretty on the nose with the death line too. Only thing is I’d say that gambit got way better treatment than nightwing. Nightwing for a while felt like he was just hated by DC and his death in say injustice or even the leaked gravestone for the dceu felt sooo disrespectful to one of DCs very best characters
well the thing is the original teams could work on it. I know the writer of the og spider-man series is very interested in doing so but marvel want to do that new spider-man show where he's in high school again and honestly...pass
I can feel the love we mutually have for the X Men come through in this review. You covered just about every point that made the show so absolutely special I had to listen to your video twice. I hope Disney takes note of how important it is for people who genuinely care about the source material to be in charge of its production. Xmen 97 is what happens when they do. What I enjoyed in particular about the show is the writers and producers understood while cameos and Easter eggs are great, they shouldnt ever take precedence over quality storytelling. I'm going to say outright this was the best piece of on screen marvel production ever made. I liked the avengers. I loved the XMen. I've read both of them since I was a kid, yet, the adaptation for this show was done with such respect for the source. Who would've thought that they could make a fantastic series if they were, say, to follow the story already written? "It trusts us the audience enough so we don't have to be spoonfed everything." Yes. Show>>>>tell
thank you so much that means a lot to me :) im glad you enjoyed my video and the show! im one for source material always, I think its so crucial since these movies and shows wouldn't even be there if not for the comics and the way this show just gets it so right is such a breath of fresh air!
Hopefully they can do a new season of others 90s anime like Spider-Man and Iron Man, I loved those two shows, they really need to restore this universe and adapt it properly like they did with X-Men
Morph has his comic powers. Abilities Shapeshifting Psionic powers Levitation Good prankster Expert computer engineer His powers also transform the appearance of his costume as well, which was made of unstable molecules. Morph's mutation to shape-shift has also made it so that his body is a Play-Doh-like substance and he can reattach limbs after they have been severed. He has limited telepathic abilities.
This show is a gift to all fans of comics, and especially the x-men. I’m excited for season two and I hope Disney changes their minds and rehire the writer so he can finish his version for this show. The X-men are back!
@@mnstash agreed, I also like how the show didn’t go directly to onslaught at the end, because I believe onslaught needs to be billed up to and plus apocalypse is more known.
@@mnstash one more thing, I’m shocked that after bastion just didn’t care what doom had to say doom didn’t get angry. You know how evil you have to be in order to talk to doom with such disrespect, if anyone else talk like that to Doom he would instantly respond with, “ you will pay for your disrespect with your lives.” Even the avengers know not to make Doom mad. I don’t know much about bastion but he instantly goes up to some of my favorite marvel villains.
I couldn’t have asked for a better adaptation. And loved seeing every character to shine. Even the weakest episodes with Motendo came back in the finale as Jubilee learned from her older self. The Gambit death was so heartbreaking since I loved him in the original cartoon and played him or nightcrawler in the sega genesis video game. Also to see Cyclops get his flowers and his powers and abilities shown properly was so satisfying. Plus Jean did more than moan and faint lol can’t say enough of how exceptional this show was. I almost want MCU to keep the Xmen movies animated
the mcu should literally just look at this show and go "yep we're doing what they did" this live action would've made me explode😭 i cant wait for season 2 i wonder how theyre gonna handle their cliffhanger and potentially gambit as death?!
hey did you see that apparently Ben Reilly will be getting a series with kaine? given who the writer is(he worked on some X-men comics and looks like he is quite good) it seems that there is hope for this series to be good
apparently so, my mind must've been playing tricks on me but I will say morph turning into psylocke or Illyana should technically mean he gets their powers but not skill right?
8:21 that kind of reminds that for X-Men '97 Neutral Spanish dub, all of the original dub VAs were replaced, some of them were understandable since their voice actors passed away (Xavier and Logan), but almost everyone is still active, though some of the original dub cast is present as different characters, for example, Magento's voiced by the same VA who voiced Bishop in the '92 series I whish the original VAs could've reprised their roles for the dub, but the new ones do great job, like Arturo Mercado Jr. as Cyclops. I just hope that if Spider-Man has some lines in the following seasons or if Spider-Man '98 becomes a reality, Peter should be voiced by his original VA
@@mnstash Peter's Mexican dub voice actor, Armando Coria, also mentioned that he'd love to voice the character again. It's kind of funny that he recently voiced Norman Osborn in Insomniac's Spider-Man 2's LA Spanish dub.

I do actually really like morph this season, much more character development than the OG series and I liked Morph whereas I didn't care about them at all in the OG show
I was surprised how good this actually is, action packed and story driven series. Only thing I didn't like was how rushed some character development happened. Madelyne's change to goblin queen felt rushed.
X-Men 97 was a series that caught me off guard. The moment they announced this revival of the beloved series, by expectations dropped to an extreme low. I was fully expecting the same garbage Marvel and Disney has been shoving down our throats for years. But I, like many other nay-sayers out there, was blissfully proven wrong. This show is a blessing and a miracle. To have a show that has the love and passion for the source material and respect for the fans. That is something that is so rare these days, with many current interpretations of classic IPs being so malicious and vindictive to the fans that it's like the showrunners want to destroy anything that is loved. This show is such a breath of fresh air that it gives me hope that there is still passion and love in the entertainment world. Was this show perfect? No, it certainly had its flaws. The main one being the pacing in some of the arcs. The Inferno and Goblin Queen arc was brushed through so quickly that it just didn't feel earned. Then there was the glossing over Magneto's EMP on Earth. That attack would kill millions of people over the world. And they just have it undone like flipping a switch. Sorry, but that's not how EMPs work. Those electrical devices are fried. No way you're turning them back on. Rogue and Magnetos relationship was creepy in this series. It was creepy in the comics too. Wasnt really a fan of that. Oh, and the whole thing with Morph is he can copy the physical abilities of who he is copying. But he cant copy key aspects of their powers. For example, he copied Quicksilver's speed, but to a lesser extent, they even confirmed as much in a tweet, saying Quicksilver would beat Morph in a race. And characters like Juggernaut and Hulk are not as strong as their real counterparts. If you recall, Morph needed a telekinetic boost from Jean in order to pull off the same level of smashing power that Hulk has. So Morph isn't as powerful as people are building him up as, he seems that way.
yeah the pacing was a little off, the did goblin queen within one episode, I would've liked at least two of her! but the show man its just so good I definitely would love to buy a blu ray of it if someone makes that sorta stuff, I need to own it! so with morph I now understand he can get their powers to an extent and stuff but does that include fighting skills because when he turned into psylocke or Illyana he could fight just like them and have their powers. morph is the one character ive only really known from the show minus his early appearances
@@mnstash Morph gains physical abilities, so any power that involves the body, such as Angel's flight and Colassus's strength and durability. He can even form weapons from his body. However, he cannot replicate abilities that aren't physical, like telepathy, energy blasts, telekinesis, etc. For example, he can mimic Jean's appearance and voice, but he can't read people's minds or move things. With Magik, he mimicked her sword but couldn't reproduce her magic or teleporting circles. Thats the limit with his shapeshifting.
I thought batman caped crusader or whatever its called would've been like that in a sense but after the reveals I highly doubt it which sucks. dc has to get Dini back to writing some shows, I miss when marvel and dc had like a few shows running at the same time
@mnstash I hear everyone say that and it didn't need more episodes. There will be a season 2 and I feel like the only reason people want more isn't because the series was too short and it hurt the pacing its because we just wanted more cuz its so good.
@@thegreatacolyt1277 I feel like personally even if it was an extra 3 it would've allowed for the stories to breathe a bit and give time to properly process. plus then we would've got three more amazing episodes!
the positive thing is he managed to write season 2 and maybe an outline for season 3 but im not sure on S3, if they somehow mess it up without him then that means theyre complete morons 😭
@@BrandontheAwesome box office wise that's not factual and I can easily prove that, critics wise not true way more hits than misses -- so from the objective criteria, relative to all the other movies that have come out with phase 4&5 MCU is still top dog! Great video. I've never been a Fantastic Four or X-Men Fan, so I'm not the authority to review this continuation of a series. However, I thought the series was OK. I didn't like the finale. It'll be interesting to see what happens in season 2, but if the storyline becomes boring and/or tedious, I'll probably stop watching. My big three were Spider-Man (was there any doubt), Captain America, and Daredevil. One character difference from MNStash. I went the route of following the Avengers as opposed to X-Men. I only followed X-Men or the Fantastic Four when their comics overlapped with Spider-Man. Yet I would've liked Rogue to be with Spider-Man. I also liked the original "Ultimate Spider-Man" run when Peter Parker/Spider-Man was dating Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat, and was disappointed when he got back with MJ. It was a different universe, so I wanted to see a different pairing than the traditional pairing of Peter and MJ. It was also nice to see the Spider-Man from the "Spider-man The Animated Series" make a couple cameos in this series. I hope Marvel/Disney brings back that series as fans of that cartoon would like closure, I don't know how good "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" will be, but X-Men '97 supposedly had lower ratings than "What If..." season 2. Keep up the great work. Cheers.
thats fair personally i loved the final alot, espcially with the animation side of it! oh espcially with how much of a d*ck peter was to kitty in that series, she never deserved that. they couldve had so many stories to tell with them to! tbh im not looking forward to the new spider-man show at all nor what if s2. in a way i feel like x-men 97 will be the only strong release for marvel for a while. thanks for watching im glad you enjoyed this video took ages to make😅
@@mnstash Looking forward to your review of "The Spectacular Spider-Men # 3". I was very disappointed with the storyline and not interested in following that comic anymore. I'm interested in your opinion of the comic.
@@mnstash Yes. Spoiler Alert. It's a Dopamine-infused vision/fantasy where Peter is married to Gwen Stacy and they have two kids named Benny and Helen. Aunt May is going to start dating Captain Stacy, and Miles Morales is going on a first date with Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. I was extremely disappointed with this comic, so much so I'm not following it anymore. It's a complete joke and utter trash. I don't know if this is a continuation of the cartoon or not, an overlap of "ASM", or a Hybrid. Personally, I don't care. You're absolutely right about how only "USM" is worth following and all Greg Weisman did in this comic was take the premise in "USM", replace MJ with Gwen, change the kids' names, and make a dopamine-infused fantasy with villains I never heard of. Complete and utter garbage. I had such high hopes for this storyline and this is what Weisman comes up with. I have no faith in Marvel anymore, and I know "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" is going to be complete trash. I hope they prove me wrong about the upcoming Spider-Man cartoon. I don't think so. BTW, I have a correction. Black Cat was retconned as bisexual in the Spider-Man mini-series "The Evil That Men Do." written by Kevin Smith (another terrible writer) back in 2002. I read that mini-series, but I forgot the writer did that to The Black Cat. I never thought much of the mini-series anyway, so that's why I must have forgotten that retcon to her canon story. Felicia Hardy wasn't bisexual when introduced back in July 1979 in "TASM # 194", but this is a different era, so any Spider-Man character, no matter how significant or not can be changed, race-swapped or gender-swapped at any moment. Geez!. Cheers.
@@edg4441 I think its getting really tiresome of how the current people in marvel seem to love Gwen yet hate Felicia or Mary Jane or hell even Debra Whitman 😂 Peters fantasy would most definitely NOT have him married to Gwen, I feel like after all we've seen from his 60 plus years of stories he most definitely would want to be with MJ instead or even Felicia. its just another lazy attempt by marvel to shoehorn her into another comic and its only getting worse with them announcing spider-gwent is now in the 616. they've ruined the death of Gwen completely. that story has lost all its substance..unless you just count anything after the JMS JRJR run not canon then its all good!
I have to disagree with you about Morph. Morph can copy physical abilities, not at full power but he can. example: when Morph copied Wolverine, he copied he's claws, but the real one cut Morph's claws into pieces
(Check pinned comment) anyway with the psylocke one and even another character he copied their powers and such to a degree but even their fighting skills which I would’ve preferred it exclude his range to copy imo
I dont think Morph being able to get other people's abilities is a retcon. In the original series, there were multiple times the same thing happened. Notably the scene in S1E16 Where Morph turns into Juggernaut and Sabretooth and has both their strength. This was always the difference between Morph and Mystique, Morph can get other's powers, but only for a short period of time without getting exhausted.
good point, I didn't remember that but one thing that surely doesn't make sense is him morphing into psylocke or Illyana and fighting exactly how I would because that area would go past the powers wouldn't it?
@@mnstash I guess so yeah, but maybe in those months between the original and '97 they could've been on missions together? I mean in reality it was so you could see fan favorite characters and still fit in narratively but I get what you mean.
Morph can only copy physical abilities of the characters. So strength, size and speed. And his power is cut in half compared to the originals, that’s why in TAS when morph turned into wolverine Logan cut Morph’s claws like butter. And also when Morph transformed into the hulk he needed Jean’s energy to boost his punches for more power.
but when he morphed into psylocke or Illyana he was able to copy their exact movements and such whouldnt that be counted as something separate all together?
@@mnstash no he’s good at mimicking people but not completely. That’s why when morph turned into sinister trying to trick bastion he was caught right away cause he knew how sinister acts. Mystique is much better in that part because she’s more stealthy and actually gets to know more about the people she copy’s. But mystique can only look like someone, she can’t copy physical abilities, change size, strength or speed like morph. That’s the real difference. Those movements you see from morph I’m guessing he’s faced them or seen them in action and was able to copy their movements that way. It was never too clear there.
I feel like with characters like morph it can get confusing if you look to deep into it. ill just have fun instead, I hope in the video it didn't come off as a huge negative for me because it was more of a minor gripe if anything
@@mnstash you’re good bro 👍🏼 the reason I know this is because the Showrunner of the series confirmed on twitter Morph can only copy physical abilities.

But again, thats just inside my head, and might be very wrong.
id like that to be the way they explain it, simple and effective :)
Jack of all trades, master of none
As a gambit fan I’m sad that he died but dang did he go out like an absolute badass. But it’s so sad he never knew rogue chose him. But this is marvel and it’s rare that characters stay dead.
Plus rogue and gambit are one of my favorite superhero couples especially in the comics.
Yeah I actually have a idea of how they are going to do that if you'd like to know
he's 100% coming back as death under apocalyspe! gambits final moments though man...he was so badass
I wondered what the significance of Apocalypse picking up a card and mentioning death was. My friend pointed out it is likely foreshadowing Gambit as the Horseman of Death.
@@JeannieLove This is almost 100% what is going to happen.

10/10 SEASON 1
I NEED A SEASON 2 NOW!!!
couldn't agree more mon ami. the x-men are well and truely BACK
I finally gave this show a chance and couldn’t get enough of it. Each episode left me wanting more and more. I finished it in two sittings. After a bunch of disappointing movies from the MCU X-Men 97 reminded me of how I fell in love with the superhero genre.
Glad to hear man it’s an incredible show :)
I can’t wait for season two, I need it now!!
There were no wasted moments in this show.

@@mnstash indeed and honestly after reading the awfulness of asm #50 x-men 97 was breath of fresh air we all needed in my opinion.
i am yet to read that and im dreading the very thought of doing so😂
I'm just curious to see how Gambit will be brought back to life? Ending credits were pretty clear of his return.
I’d bet money on him becoming death, another horseman of apocalypse
Personally, XMen TAS & '97 represent the comic pretty well, even the parts that people outside of the comic don't see.
The themes of racism and xenophobia which are a staple to the franchise,
The soap-opera levels of drama and love affairs and love triangles (people forget that the Comic has always been like this lmao)
The cheesy resurrections and revivals (some debate this but I personally feel like this has always been part of XMen as well, especially in TAS).
I was gonna add a little part in the video about a con of the show being me, you and a lot of fans just genuinely wanting more
Great show that hit the drama perfectly
Love your passion you got yourself a new subscriber!🎉
thank you so much :) im so glad I manage to capture my love for the show within the video, its just so good!
If there is one thing I love about X Men 97 as that ir changes the tropes of how it plays out. To something surprising. Gambit's demise appeared out of nowhere (not sure it happened in the comics) but it really felt the show stated, 'You think we're a typical show all because of marketing nostalgia sike.'
And while Gambit is likely going to come back and stop Rogue from darker territory, the show really wanted to get the feel that its not a Kid's show.
And I hope it will revive the Marvel Animation and then become a juggernaut just like its rival the DCAU.
couldn't agree more, especially with the magento stuff. easily one of the best characters in the show
I agree so much with every single word you have said. Thank you for sharing our love for such a wonderful show!

glad you enjoyed!
I would love a version of this with Batman the animated series or justice league unlimited
97 is peak. Can they do the same with spectacular spider man

"It trusts us the audience enough so we don't have to be spoonfed everything."
Yes.
Abilities
Shapeshifting
Psionic powers
Levitation
Good prankster
Expert computer engineer
His powers also transform the appearance of his costume as well, which was made of unstable molecules. Morph's mutation to shape-shift has also made it so that his body is a Play-Doh-like substance and he can reattach limbs after they have been severed. He has limited telepathic abilities.
Great vid 👌 and xmen are the best

This show is a gift to all fans of comics, and especially the x-men. I’m excited for season two and I hope Disney changes their minds and rehire the writer so he can finish his version for this show. The X-men are back!
it'd be a Crome not to bring him back after all the warm reception the show got! thank God he wrote season 2 before he got fired
@@mnstash agreed, I also like how the show didn’t go directly to onslaught at the end, because I believe onslaught needs to be billed up to and plus apocalypse is more known.
oh man I can't wait for that though, if its anything like this season it'll be incredible
I almost want MCU to keep the Xmen movies animated
the mcu should literally just look at this show and go "yep we're doing what they did" this live action would've made me explode😭
i cant wait for season 2 i wonder how theyre gonna handle their cliffhanger and potentially gambit as death?!
hey did you see that apparently Ben Reilly will be getting a series with kaine? given who the writer is(he worked on some X-men comics and looks like he is quite good) it seems that there is hope for this series to be good
I haven't but im excited because I swear ben in the x-men books was written properly if im not mistaken
As far as I knew morph took powers in the comics too, I’ll admit I’m really only an encyclopedia for Jean so I can’t give specific examples
apparently so, my mind must've been playing tricks on me but I will say morph turning into psylocke or Illyana should technically mean he gets their powers but not skill right?
8:21 that kind of reminds that for X-Men '97 Neutral Spanish dub, all of the original dub VAs were replaced, some of them were understandable since their voice actors passed away (Xavier and Logan), but almost everyone is still active, though some of the original dub cast is present as different characters, for example, Magento's voiced by the same VA who voiced Bishop in the '92 series
I whish the original VAs could've reprised their roles for the dub, but the new ones do great job, like Arturo Mercado Jr. as Cyclops. I just hope that if Spider-Man has some lines in the following seasons or if Spider-Man '98 becomes a reality, Peter should be voiced by his original VA

I do actually really like morph this season, much more character development than the OG series and I liked Morph whereas I didn't care about them at all in the OG show
I was surprised how good this actually is, action packed and story driven series.
Only thing I didn't like was how rushed some character development happened. Madelyne's change to goblin queen felt rushed.

truely is :)
X men done right
I thought batman caped crusader or whatever its called would've been like that in a sense but after the reveals I highly doubt it which sucks. dc has to get Dini back to writing some shows, I miss when marvel and dc had like a few shows running at the same time
This show is better then the old one in everyway i love it!
only thing is just the pacing probably, I wish there was more episodes 😭 but besides that its just supreme!
@mnstash I hear everyone say that and it didn't need more episodes. There will be a season 2 and I feel like the only reason people want more isn't because the series was too short and it hurt the pacing its because we just wanted more cuz its so good.

I'm interested in your opinion of the comic.
thats with Petes 'ideal world' right? spider-man comics are so tiresome, besides USM he hasn't been written properly in such long time!
Or psylocke, it was just the sword not the psychic sword
I mean in reality it was so you could see fan favorite characters and still fit in narratively but I get what you mean.
oh yeah dont get me wrong i loved seeing the cameos i was just a little confused on how it actually worked and such😅
@@mnstash yeahh totally get that
13:21 But how if X-men end in 1996 and Spider-Man ended in 97….wouldn’t that be the clone MJ?!
the writer confirmed it on twitter. im guessing that the show starts off in 1997 and then over the Course of it finish in '98
Morph can only copy physical abilities of the characters.
He said dare devil lol it’s Batman !

Peak incoming
Eh, you never know.
brooo imagine x-men '97 S2, spider-man '98, daredevil, hulk etc
a whole slate of 90s shows would go so hard
@@mnstash i rly need a iron man revival
i dont see why they couldnt! everyone loves the 90s and such even hasbro know it since they release so many retro cards
@@mnstash Wasn't the Iron Man show bad?
X-men 97 is a horrible show that ruins the legacy of the animated series.
Not really. At least, I didn't see anything wrong (outside of Morph).
@@BrandontheAwesome Morph was just there to do cameos that's basically what he was on the show for.
@@BrandontheAwesome X-Men 97 ruined the characters from the original show.
Good job, brother. Only constructive feedback I have for you is editing out your mistakes if you do this style of formatting. Like where you seemed to have used a wrong word and corrected yourself or where there appeared to a slight pause like you weren't sure where you were at. Mistakes like that just come off kind of obvious, especially with the great montage you had running in the background. But seriously, this was an exceptional video, and it earned my subscribe. So keep it up and keep working on your craft. You have a lot of potential, and I wish you the best of luck.
Also, this show was absolutely amazing! They killed it! Thanks for the video my friend
Thank you for the feedback because I was considering retaking certain parts but I felt like it made it more raw I guess😅I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and the support means a lot man thank you :) these types of videos have always been a passion of mine so whenever I do make one I just try to put as much effort as I can! This one took around 3 sleepless nights 😅
Had to sub bro keep grinding 🫡
Legend thanks man 🙏
