Not a chance. Everything post epilogue is ww1 years. This is the absolute end of the "cowboy" era of American history, fictional or otherwise. RDR is about the dying world of the gunslinging outlaws, it was already dying in rdr2, it was on the brink of death in rdr1, 3 would be a pointless stretch of the imagination. RDR3 could be another prequel set before the events of the blackwater massacre. But honestly, I'm fine with where the story started up until this point. These stories don't need to be stretched out until infinity.
Jack is my favorite red dead character. He had the most character development from a little boy raised in a gang, to a young man trying to get through it With his family, to a gunslinger. He had to grow up faster than most. He lost everyone
Jack is very overlooked. He could be one of the most dangerous people out there as he simply has nothing to lose as he lost everything he had ever known

@@TheFunnyDictatorwatch the video John says to jack “I ain’t going no where” and that’s the exact line jack uses when he challenges Edgar Ross to a duel in remember my family
One of the saddest things is that Abigail died just a few years later. In real life I knew a man who son comited suicide and the man died I think months or a couple of years later because he couldn't stand the sadness and weight of what happened to his son. This is probably what happened to Abigail since we can see that she loved John so much, it's specially shown in RDRII
In RDR2, there’s a blind man that after you donate him little money, he says a line that I instantly realized he was referring to John’s death. Man, almost cried when he said that 😭
Absolutely, The few years that John *did* get to enjoy as a farmer and family man, were worth more than every single day Arthur and John were Van Derlinds. It could be argued John himself knew knew the law would catch up to him sooner or later, he still decided to stay in Beecher's Hope and start his farm and family.
@@erhiueQWEFThat's the truth, man. John could have ran off with his family and left Beecher's hope, but. He did not and decided to meet his fate, defending the place he and others worked so hard for. In the end, John and Arthur did succeed by giving Jack the life they always wanted for him
@@erhiueQWEF Exactly. John "made it" more than any other gang member because of the few years Arthur bought him. If Arthur saw that John truly redeemed as a family man and honest rancher who sacrifices himself so his family can live in peace, it would only make him want to save John's family more.
"This is a fine spot." "Tell me your damn name or I won't be responsible for my actions." "Oh but you will. I'll see you round cowboy." "DAMN YOU!" "Yes, many have." I played RDR1, I cried. I played RDR2, I cried and grieved. I played RDR1 again, and I broke. The added context from RDR2 made everything hit so much harder. They already had RDR2 written in their heads, but when I played it I was hit with a gut punch, because from the start I knew what was going to happen, but every part of me wanted some way for it to work out. Something. And it all slowly fell apart.

People keep asking for a RDR remake but honestly it really doesn’t need it. On a good 4K or 1440p monitor the game still looks incredible. If anything we need a Red Dead Revolver remake since that game has aged.
He didn't have much of a choice either way. It was either "go kill your old gang and get your family back or don't track down your old gang and have you and your family get killed by Ross and his men" which we obviously know the first choice meant he would save his family but he died in the process so either way he would've been killed. It was just a matter of should they just kill me or me and my family. Not a hard choice for any man that has a family
Nah he was close with John still despite arguing with him he was open with his feelings towards him and John was very understanding, it’s not like they were in bad terms or anything it was just kind of rough. Jack didn’t cry because he himself has to be the man now and he expressed his grief through getting stronger and faster with a gun so he can get revenge
“You wake up one day and your legs, they just give. And you just can’t run anymore.” - Michael De Santa (Not a red dead character but still a rockstar games character.)
John was never evil, just a misguided and lost young man in rdr2 and a man who would then go to any lengths he had to in order to protect his family and get them back from Ross
Why not? Not my wife, not my widow. If i want someone dead i dont give a fuck who they leave behind. If theyre not someone i already know and associate with and choose to care about, they mean absolutely nothing to me.
Imagine how many women John widowed in his search for his gang, especially when he helped burn down a village in Mexico. Let's not pretend he hasn't gunned down hundreds of people that had loving families as well. Ross may be evil, but he didn't ruin nearly as many families as John did.
I do wonder what jack felt after Johns death, probably did feel a lot of resentment against him for leaving him again but maybe at some point realised John stayed with Jack to the very end to protect him. Maybe jack killing Ross wasn’t vengeance but justice.

When John got his revenge on Micah, he left trail for the pinkertons to track him back home. Arthur said “vengeance is an idiot game” but john was a cold blooded gangster
John was brave Everyone thought that John was a kind of man who is a coward and runs away in tough times But in rdr1 John showed he was a real man and he stood for his family until the end
Bros out there, never treat your father like this. Most of them are full of love and want you to actually learn something. They do have the experience and are great teachers if you let them. Don't allow some stupid pride to become a barrier between you and your dad, it'll sour your relationship forevermore... They deserve all the love and respect we can give them, especially in this times when nobody gives a sh*t about men. Cheers and love to you all
Jack loved his father but he was upset and confused. His dad wasn’t there for a lot of his early life and neglected him. And then Jack thinks John left him and his mom. Yes it wasn’t johns choice but Jack was still upset. And John was a bad man but he seemed redemption. After years he got it. Jack was just a confused list kid at the time.

*The Bureau of Investigation. There's no Pinkertons in RDR1.
Was the FBI in RDR1 actually...but Edgar Ross used to be a Pinkerton Agent, so you're half right I guess.
@@HOUNDxROYALZ oh didnt realize. Edgar Ross was a former Pinkerton true and he was leading the mission so it makes sense a bit of sense.
@@1337_bean It's set up at the end of RDR2 in a newspaper where it says the FBI has been established and Edgar Ross (former Pinkerton agent) is now its director.
It’s the fbi now the Pinkertons disbanded in like 1908
Bro this was the most sadistic end game ever ngl
John did try to be a dad to him and teach him things but jack had to go through that 😞
It’s safe to say we all put as many rounds as we could into Ross on our first playthrough.
I put most on his body, avoiding the heart and lungs. Only on his legs and stomach, so he would die a slow death. I like to think he drowned on the river
I would’ve used a Gatling on him if I could, and even that wouldn’t of been enough
@@ULTIMATZEKROM yes but that would be causing pain to yourself because WHO THE HELL USES A GATLING GUN IN SLOW MOTIONNN

Man, I hope they remake RDR with RDR2 graphics
No
@@DeadXog Yeah, I'm not big on a remake either unless it keeps RDR1's story and gameplay the same but just improves the graphics. Otherwise, I don't care for the forced Arthur mentions or making RDR1's gunplay like 2.
No
Nah it would ruin the theme rdr1 is supposed to look dark and grey because of Johns story and how the west is dying
Me too it would be awesome
am hoping Jack Marston will be in RDR3
Not a chance.
Everything post epilogue is ww1 years. This is the absolute end of the "cowboy" era of American history, fictional or otherwise.
RDR is about the dying world of the gunslinging outlaws, it was already dying in rdr2, it was on the brink of death in rdr1, 3 would be a pointless stretch of the imagination.
RDR3 could be another prequel set before the events of the blackwater massacre. But honestly, I'm fine with where the story started up until this point. These stories don't need to be stretched out until infinity.
I hope in rdr3 you play as Dutch and slowly gather the whole gang
He died where he lived. Buried where he lived. He didnt go anywhere
Dame that shit was sad af
Jack is my favorite red dead character. He had the most character development from a little boy raised in a gang, to a young man trying to get through it
With his family, to a gunslinger. He had to grow up faster than most. He lost everyone
Jack is very overlooked. He could be one of the most dangerous people out there as he simply has nothing to lose as he lost everything he had ever known
@@hereiam-qc3fi exactly. I honestly think RDR3 should be about his story.
@@yungkaze24 right I said this to. even if it isn’t very “western” . If you don’t know much about the west it pretty much ended when Rdr 1 takes place so that game alone is barely a western I think it would be an amazing direction to take the story sure a lot of people might not like it being more “mafia” like but I think everyone would come around to the idea if they give jack his actual REDEMPTION

I read somewhere that she died from both a broken heart and TB.

I have been playing red dead for about 4 years and this is one of the saddest things about the story
In RDR2, there’s a blind man that after you donate him little money, he says a line that I instantly realized he was referring to John’s death. Man, almost cried when he said that 😭

Do y’all think if Arthur knew John’s fate he’d still try and save them?
Absolutely, The few years that John *did* get to enjoy as a farmer and family man, were worth more than every single day Arthur and John were Van Derlinds. It could be argued John himself knew knew the law would catch up to him sooner or later, he still decided to stay in Beecher's Hope and start his farm and family.
@@erhiueQWEFThat's the truth, man. John could have ran off with his family and left Beecher's hope, but. He did not and decided to meet his fate, defending the place he and others worked so hard for. In the end, John and Arthur did succeed by giving Jack the life they always wanted for him
Joohhnn Made it
Of course he would, is Arthur we are talking about
@@erhiueQWEF Exactly. John "made it" more than any other gang member because of the few years Arthur bought him. If Arthur saw that John truly redeemed as a family man and honest rancher who sacrifices himself so his family can live in peace, it would only make him want to save John's family more.

I played RDR1, I cried. Something. And it all slowly fell apart.

i cryed when john was dead im now again playing red dead redemption and im gonna cry again and RIP john marston he was good character
“The day John Marston stopped shooting”
That was one of the best read dead edits I have ever seen
When John kept talking about how he wasn’t going anywhere I knew what was going to happen
For the people that was a og and played rdr1 that was the saddest death in rdr at the point in history
Jack is a strong young man. He pulled his mother off of his DEAD father
Blud did not even tear up, what a son he was to john
after finishing rdr2 and playing the epilogue it makes it so much sadder cos u get to know john in so much more detail
Did not expect that to go that way tbh idk why, that was a sneaky surprise dagger to my heart
Then how were you expecting it to go?
Legends don't die
I told John to stay out of trouble now he gone and got himself killed
The thing I hate when bad fathers in media redeem themselves is they usually have the most depressing deaths
He didn't know it was gonna happen😭😢
Nobody does tbh, i don't think people if they had known their fate would've stood there boldly
Jack is honestly an underrated character and protaganist
People keep asking for a RDR remake but honestly it really doesn’t need it. On a good 4K or 1440p monitor the game still looks incredible. If anything we need a Red Dead Revolver remake since that game has aged.
Honestly, I just wish they'd fix some glitches in RDO. They make us pay 10 gold bars for vitalism studies, just for it not to work.
@@Lynx55586 man I haven’t played RDO in a couple years. How is it?
Jack 3 years later: “are you as aroused as i am?”
He didn’t go anywhere his soul did
if only john listen to arthur that "revenge is a fool's game" he might be still alive
Arthur didn't exist.
Great song use. RIP John
Rdr1 ending is kinda sad. Jack seeing uncle getting shot and dies, later sees John is dead. And later Abigail dies too.
It's interesting to see that Jack cries a lot less than his mother. Most likely because the man John Marston was already dead for him. A long time.
As a 33 year old man with a beard. I cried today. My Boah JOn be immortal with that big old prairie in the sky with Arthur. And Uncle.
I understand you. You are very close to the age at which John Marston died (38 years old).
PS: By the way, shave that beard 🪒 (XD).

Cant believe Ross widowed a woman. No matter how evil John was, I couldn’t do that. Never.
John was never evil, just a misguided and lost young man in rdr2 and a man who would then go to any lengths he had to in order to protect his family and get them back from Ross
Well, idk about you, i think i could make Hitler's wife a widow. That's just me personally.
@@loonyshots5879 hitler did that himself lmao. ( if you know you know ) but fr gg if you were in hitlers bunker when the soviets entered lmao
John really reminds me of my dad, that's why I really love his character

After Arthur and John, Jack was the last one to complete the redemption, at the cost of everybody he loved.
Damn the song for so perfect... the ending matches so well
I'm just trying to figure out what the song is so I can listen to it myself. People who make these edits should also start tagging the songs.
I do wonder what jack felt after Johns death, probably did feel a lot of resentment against him for leaving him again but maybe at some point realised John stayed with Jack to the very end to protect him. Maybe jack killing Ross wasn’t vengeance but justice.
I’d say it was both Justice and Vengeance. The two are not always at odds.
