    My grandmother taught me to make these when I was quite young, and my mother made them too. Every summer we visited my grandparents in southern California and dinner the very first night was homemade chicken and noodles. She didn’t use a bowl, but same ingredients. Brought back so many memories. Another thing I need to make ASAP. Thanks, again anf God continue o richy bess you.🙏🏻

    I made these noodles today. 1st time ever making noodles from scratch.
    They were more like dumplings and delicious. Hubby said ,"Well, we no longer have to buy noodles from the market." Next time, I will make them thinner.
    Thanks for sharing the recipe with us!

    I have been making these for "many" years (I'm 75+) the way my Mom taught all of girls (6) and never used milk. I made plans to make this Sunday. Going to try your recipe ... thanks

    I like cooking from my old church cookbooks but my boyfriend requested chicken and noodles for a belated birthday dinner and I want to make it all from scratch with so much love.
    I loved every part of this video especially the corny jokes. Just subscribed.

    Love this noodle idea. I'll try these and share. I like the idea of splitting the dough. Watching from BEAUTIFUL Southern Iowa. Bless all, share a smile 😁❤

    I 'knead' to find a bigger kitchen so I can put all these fabulous ideas to good use. I use egg noodles a lot in different casseroles. I'd LOVE to do them myself. Your casserole looked awesomely delicious! Even with alien green stuff. 😉 Thank you for these great recipes! ♥️🙏

      @bretnufer7044 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bag them up and put them in the freezer, if they are dry enough they would be fine in a ziplock bag on the countertop, but the freezer will ensure that nothing starts growing in them

    How long will they last for long-term shelf life or do you have to freeze them

    • @artofcreationhomestead
      @artofcreationhomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would recommend freezing them. They will last for months that way.

    Are these the tougher noodles or the tender ones? My Granny always had the tender ones in her chicken and noodles recipe, so that's what I'm looking for.

    Since childhood and all my live my family has made this , but instead of rolling it out to noodles we just drop clumps of it in boiling water...( dumplings ) ...we called them ( not sure of the spelling assuming it's german ) ..konifflies ??

    • @artofcreationhomestead

      Knoephla! The recipe for knoephla is different. No salt. We make a wet dough, like a spaetzle dough, and spoon it into the simmering soup. We also drop them into boiling water and scoop them into a pan with butter and onions and brown them a bit. Serves great with bratwurst and sauerkraut or replace them in any dish you'd serve potatoes with. Kinda like spaetzle, but more dumpling size.

    It would be easier cutting straight noodle if you rolled the dough up, then cutting your noodles when they're rolled up

  • @bulkvanderhuge9006
    @bulkvanderhuge9006 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Put some cornstarch in a towel and make a "powder puff" out of it, so you can powered your noodles so they won't stick together
