    I really like your teaching style, Jonathan. I've watched a lot of S&T instructors on YT; some are way too technical for my learning style and others offer little in the way of explaining the theory behind the concept. You've struck a very good balance between theory and practice. For example, weight on the left foot: that was the first thing I benefitted from when I started S&T, but until now I didn't realize why. Great work. Liked & Subscribed.

    Great stuff Jonathan, I've only figured out this stack and tilt stuff after almost 30 years of playing golf. So I was glad to see it well explained. It's improved my golf a bit but I still strike my irons behind the ball sometimes. I think its due to early extension. I'm a fan!

    I am a really bad golfer and I could not lower my hcp, no matter what. It was stuck on 25ish for years. Main reason: extreme inconsistency in drives and longer clubs in general. I am sure most suffer from this, but I consider myself an extreme case. I typically lost around 9 balls per round (18 holes). My shortgame was disproportionally good, meaning whenever I managed to get within 100 yards of the green without lost ball, I would always make a par or bogey max. Then my new pro suggested a "shift delete" on my swing and built it up from scratch using stack and tilt and my hcp dropped 10 points to 15 within two seasons. I also feel confident behind the ball. I still hope to improve further, but I think to all people who struggle with long-club consistency, this could be a gift from heaven. Give it a try!

    Jim Powell here.
    It seems that the stack and tilt would be a great way to play. Simply by putting 60-65% of your weight on your lead leg, while keeping your head still and simply turning your lead arm under your chin during the back swing and turning your right shoulder under with your downswing you should be very consistent in hitting the ball correctly.

    Jonathan, you stated that an inside backswing would lead to hitting the ground before the ball. However, isn't one of the key factors of the SnT is "back in up" ?

    First, great job. My question is about the wrists. We know the wrists can hinge (back and forth like a door) and also cock ( up and down as in hammering a vertical nail) and also do some of both at the same time. Would you please describe how your wrists move in both the up and down swings? Thanks for the tips!

    • @JKMGolf
      @JKMGolf  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmmm this can get very details haha but in the backswing I feel like it stays flexed and in the downswing it is flexing more. This is a general explanation 👍

  • @BinoRucker

    minute 3.28/ radial extension = loss of low point control. Also is this resulting in early extension as well because we subconsciously and athletically lift up to avoid hitting ground and this leads to pushes/slices to right? thanks

    Jonathan my suggestion. Why not just stress what is the right thing to do again and again. Trying to show what you should
    not do is confusing. Make shots to demonstrate several times. Action with shots is retained more in the memory. You are a good teacher.
