I don't ever comment on YT - but this video transformed my golf game in 10 minutes. 30 years of struggling with ball striking, clubhead speed, flipping the club, countless lessons. All resolved - absolutely amazing. It feels like cheating. Thank you so much for this fantastic video and explanation!

Greeting from Montréal, Canada 🇨🇦. As a school teacher, I can recognize an excellent golf instructor when I see and hear one. It is great that you show what NOT to do and show the right way to do especially with people like me having limitations. Not every golfer are 30 year old 6 feet tall and 160 pound. Thanks for the great videos.

This is one of the best explanations of what the hands/arms need to do in the swing. As usual Jonathan, you take a difficult concept and make it easily relatable/understandable and the drills really help to FEEL the proper moves. You are one of the best teachers out there- thanks for putting these videos out, and please keep them coming.

One of the few guys on TH-cam actually teaching a proper release instead of this bow and rotate nonsense. Every single tour pro releases hard and aggressively with the hands.

You have made the release of the club head very simple to understand ! I just wish you were around 30 years ago 😎 Thanks for your lessons, they are very simple but bring very good results . Thank you Jonathan !!

Great content.....I've tried to get my head around the release for 30 years. After watching one of your release lessons, everything just clicked. Your explanation was so clear and concise.
My swing now feels effortless and powerful. I now have a clear sequencing imprinted on the "golf cortex" of my brain.
Many thanks o wise one for showing me the light!

Not releasing the club head has always been an issue for me. Even when I get in the slot I, occasionally, don’t release the club head. I adopted your thumb drill (another video) a few months back and it PROFOUNDLY impacted my ball striking. Just top notch, clear instruction. This is my go to golf instruction channel.

You’re an absolute stud…for YEARS I’ve been working on the rotating of the body to get the speed through the hitting zone and couldn’t understand where all my speed went…I did have both hips replaced, so that has slowed me a bit, but I’m 54, very athletic from playing ice hockey, and hit the ball solidly…before trying your drill and working on getting those hands rotating, I was hitting my PW about 115…I play Mizuno MP 221s…after doing this drill for the last few days, I’m starting to see a much better ball flight and distances are more like 125…you da man!!

Best golf instruction on YT . Easy to retain the lesson and taking it to the range because of how JKM explains the method. Not only is JKM a great instructor but a great communicator and not over complicate a lesson which you will find on other YT vids. 😂 love that drill. I have always had issues with releasing the club. I was pretty much what you describe . I was playing poorly of late n in one practice drill session I went out today and was hitting it with some speed. For 1 session it was game changing. Gonna keep drilling at home. Better than hitting balls. Funny how someone can explain it in such a way u just get it. Appreciate ur work jkm. You are a good teacher in your ability to communicate in just the right way. Bravo

In 2018 I wanted to have more conpact and consistent swing due to the lack of practice. I thought that the hand release will increase my inconsistency and need for practice. Been struggling for 5 years now and finally starting to realise I was doing the opposite whst I should have. I was a really good junior player and I used my hands back in the day corretly, but I thought that I hit it well because I was practicing so much that it was consistent.
Oh how wrong I was. Now I am excited to start practicing swinging with my hands and perhaps competing again when I get my old consistency back!
Thank you for reminding myself that no arms only body do not translate to consistency. Only to weak shots.

I am trying to work on this and I found this video helpful. When I do the drill you suggested at the end, it sometimes causes me to close the face too early and hook the ball to the left. I think my grip is solid, as I can see the knuckles on both of my hands. Is it just that I turn my wrists too early and close the club-face too much before impacting the ball?
BTW, enjoy your videos a lot and want to see more on course content!
