This video couldn't have come at a better time. At 64 life has pulled me to a point of exhaustion. Caring for elderly relatives ( still doing it), a run in with cancer and trying to just get by each day has left me with chronic fatigue. I've always had lots of energy. No more. Self esteem is at rock bottom. My creativity just doesn't want to play. However, seeing the change in you Kay, gives me hope. Thankyou so much. X

I absolutely relate to the part about making promises and not keeping them ( health related) . I've watched your journey for over a year now and I'm absolutely ready to start mine. I'm absolutely tired of feeling tired

Congrats on working so hard! Low carb is a must for me as well - cuts out all my inflammation and surprisingly, helped greatly with my depression (unexpected). 90lbs down.

Thank you for this video, Kay. I have also been struggling with health issues. I am 63 years old, looking after my terminally ill husband and my aging mom, while working and keeping house and garden. I have been going around in circles until I got to the point of not being able to even get out of bed in the morning. I have started to change my life around, taking care of my health and wellbeing first, then taking care of others. I changed my eating habits as well as my lifestyle. Also setting me time every day, to breathe and relax.

i was crying the entire time and i cant even tell why, i have had a lot of struggles since 2019, i moved out at 19 years old and boy, i have never thought about my weight gain of being a "bubble wrap", my anxiety has been so bad that i could not find happiness, nor lose weight for my wedding... and i think i am at my lowest i ever was, i am at 95 kgs now, i hope to get back where i was

That was interesting. Its a hypothetical thing, but after the wedding what will you/we be striving toward? Yes I get you need a goal to aim for, but after the wedding what motivates you/anyone. Once we have the house/ the car/ the perfect spouse/best holiday ever. What happens, how do we cope with the day to day humdrum or are we forever chasing bigger and better more exciting things ? There is something to be said for being in the now, for enjoying what is, rather than what can be, that brings a kind of n inner peace. No right answers, no wrong answers, just points to consider

I hear what you’re saying. A wedding, house, job, kids, etc. are alway moving and changing targets… Although I don’t think is wrong to use them as motivation to jumpstart a healthy lifestyle. I think what’s more sustainable is knowing how good you feel and live when you are taking care of your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. Does that make sense?

I did the same for my 40th then as soon as it was over I went backwards, not saying that will happen for everyone but it did for me ☹️. I now just try to be the healthiest me I can be so I get to live a longer active life, that way there are no deadlines just taking care of me 😊 xx

Thank you for this video, I have been where you are now years ago, but life can be cruel and I am right back where I had started, I'm overweight and feeling so poorly and low again. I am just starting my journey again, but this time I intend to do it my way and a healthy way, I have managed to give up smoking, and that's improved my physical health and now I am just working on my mind and diet, I've got my fitbit, getting my steps in and finding other ways to cope with the stresses in life, such as journaling and candle lit baths 😊 I have been trying to do more home cooking too. Your videos are very motivating, you are just real, and even if I manage to do it again, it doesn't mean I will stay there....my why is I just feel so terrible and my lifestyle no longer serves me xxx

Oh my goodness I got to 220 in 2020 and I decided to go on a diet lost 84 pounds. Looked amazing felt amazing but after my beach trip that was my goal time which was July 2021 I was in a great place but when I let my guard down and started eating at the beach I’ve been struggling since. I have now gained 40 back feel like crap but I’ll get it together it’s just getting super hard this time. I’m always thinking well I’ll go on it tomorrow or Monday lol . Then I start then I mess up so I binge eat all day. I never exercised at all to lose it but I know I need to but I have sciatica problems. I just happen to be on a beach trip now for 5 days but when I get back I’m going to give it my all again. But Kay you look absolutely gorgeous!!! So proud of you!

Pausing the video to say I love that you say that you need to look for the type of exercise that you like and suits your body. I absolutely agree with that!
I have long covid since 1,5 years. Before that, I was a yoga teacher. I loved yoga. And now I still love it, but it just doesn’t work for my body anymore. And I always believed yoga is for everyone and loved adapting my classes to the needs of the people (including MS, serious joint issues etc). I can do about 5 minutes of sitting postures/stretches and it’s done.
I can go on small walks and bought an e-bike (live in the Netherlands, we go everywhere on our bikes), so I can bike a little.
Last week I started doing gentle Pilates, 10 min a day (Jessica Valant on YT). I can lie down mostly doing the exercises and after 10 minutes, I feel great! This week was a bit crazy and I didn’t get to it. Coming week I’m back to doing it!
I also want to say I’m so happy for you that you are feeling great!❤

In April I decided to loose weight and up to now I'm 2 stone lighter and as I got a high energy rescue dog I am walking 2 to 3 times a day, he makes me accountable because if I don't walk him he creates really bad and causes loads of stress and tension. Even on the days I don't feel like it I know I have to and then I feel better for the walk. I still have days when I eat pizza or a chippy but small portions than I used to have and then I make healthier choices to make up for it. You are really glowing now such an exciting time with the wedding getting closer. Thanks for sharing your tips. I think my purpose was to still be able to see my granddaughter grow up. And to have control in a small area of my life because most of it is a mess xx

This was a very inspiring vlog. You have come a long way, Kay.. you’re right..it’s about finding a purpose to do what you want to achieve. I’m in a bit of a rut (plus been homesick for U.K. for so many years as in the US!) I definitely need to be confident about job search and getting back to taking care of myself. Your channel and another great vlogger, Cambria Joy, are very inspiring especially in terms of finding purpose, eating better without crazy restrictions and finding the beauty in each day. Please can you do a video on your skincare/make up routine. Thank you and God bless

I’m 74 and have a love/hate relationship with food and exercise but I’ve managed to lose 20 lbs over the last year.
I suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic pain with lower back an some other issues so moving sometimes is hard.
I lost my sweet dog Bella a yr ago and it took me awhile to get a new dog named Lilly Rose, so I’ve been walking her and each time I try to walk farther than the day before. Other days it’s just a shorter walk but I’m doing it and my dog is my helper.
You look amazing. Yes, self talk to ourselves is not always good so good advise on being kinder to ourselves is important. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Such an inspiring video! Your latest health videos have really been helping me. After my first child I moved back to Essex and then lockdown hit so I went from going out to get shopping every day to being lucky to sit in the car for 10 minutes a week so that combined with hormonal contraception made me gain a crazy amount of weight which I have been trying to lose for a year now but had no luck because I had no energy to cook healthy meals or healthy snacks and now I’m pregnant with my second baby and I’m just feeling even more awful about my weight to the point I’ve restricted eating normal meals so these videos have really helped me to stop being so hard on myself and given me some motivation to drink more water and try to keep myself active with some prenatal yoga so then come February when I’ve been cleared for exercise I can use your advice to exercise and eat properly and try to at least gain some confidence in my own body and hopefully lose a healthy amount of weight

I struggle with my weight, part of it is the emotional aspect and all the baggage my mother put on me from her own insecurities, but a big part of it at the moment is all the chronic health problems I have to deal with. Among other things, I have a genetic kidney disease that causes me to produce large dense stones on a regular basis and that has damaged my left kidney enough that they're trying to decide at the moment whether to remove my kidney entirely or clear it out again.
It can be really hard to stay on track with anything in life if you're having to go through major surgeries every few months (My last surgeries were in March), let alone sticking to a weight loss and exercise plan. Having an accountability partner who can see through bullshit but also understands my limitations is something I find useful...but sadly don't have such a person in my life at the moment.
On the bright side, I weighed much less than I thought I did when filling out the paperwork for the next surgery ^.^

Hi Kay, great video! I'm interested to know... Do you think doing youtube has helped you with your social anxiety? I have tried making videos on and off over the past 10 or so years and always stopped due to fear of what others might think of me and thinking I'm not good enough, but always come back to wanting to do it as a way to express myself as I struggle in everyday life. It would be interesting to know if you think being able to express yourself online has helped you to become more confident? It's really good to see that you've grown so much and are so much happier now.

Wonderful message Kay. I can relate to every part of this..mentally, physically..drinking more water, exercise..and finding reason why. Life coach couldn't be a more fitting role for your profession. I think your skin is radiant, you look healthy and happy. You should be proud from where you were to now. To me you don't look bad at all physically from the before.. My personal opinion, it is from water, the healthier eating and minimizing carbs. Thank you for sharing.

I did not live with my husband the first year of our marriage so I get it.

Hi when are you planning to start up your life coaching again as I am keen to sign up for it?

Great to find your channel again. I tried to get on your blog, but it kept coming up with “it may be impersonating to steal your details”(maybe something you should check) I wanted to ask you about your journey into personal coaching and how it’s going as it is something I’m looking into myself. Kind regards ❤

I'm taking a break from coaching at the moment so have temporarily paused my website subscription. I love coaching and have had a wonderful experience, I trained with Beautiful You Coaching Academy x

Thank you. I have registered with them, but they’re not having more students until next year. Looked at another company in the UK who are £2000 more and give lots of help with the business side. Can I ask if they helped you with this and if you felt happy at the end of your training? Would be willing to wait until next year if this the case. 💕

I get fatigue when I stand up for too long without moving. I'm getting married in a year and I'm afraid I will faint during the ceremony. Do you have the same problem? Are you going to stand up during your ceremony or are you sitting down? Would love to know x

Try being in your 40’s getting a divorce and having to move back in with your parents, where you deal with a father that tries to run your life again.

I think doing something is the important thing. You can change up at any time. Write down things you enjoy and things you are good at. Start with those. Volunteer somewhere. That will definitely give you a purpose. Good luck! I know you can do great things!

Please my dear slow down a bit it's all too fast. I am always interested about people's situation with money I find it a bad thing. The China "virus" lockdowns destroyed my finances and now I don't want to go on.
