Thanks for the video! I've never seen any other channel that goes into this level of depth on the DCAU. However, when I watch these videos, there are times I wonder if you guys are too thorough for your own good. I know you've determined at the moment that this series takes place early in the Justice League cartoon, but I'm going to have to go against that despite the logical points in favor of that argument. I remember Paul Dini saying something in an interview or some other promotional material that he was treating this comic book series as if it was another season of TNBA and what would have happened if the team wasn't moved into making Batman Beyond. To me that means he's treating the events of this series as happening before the events of the Justice League cartoon. I know you guys would say, "But the years don't match up." and you would be right. However, I don't think Paul Dini has done the level of research you guys have done on the timeline. The thing about placing this series during the events of the Justice League cartoon is that there are some logical problems with this that even you acknowledge. Here are some off the top of my head: 1. When Superman is missing, Batman doesn't call any of the other members of the Justice League to ask where Superman is, or to even help him in his battle with Luthor. 2. The Justice League have not been referenced at all in any of these issues at the time I'm making this comment. 3. When Lex Luthor was pardoned, he focused on building his political career. The scheme of capturing Superman and using him to be a solar battery for a giant robot and hiring Deathstroke to take out Batman seems more like something he would have done during his days when he has an image of a benevolent business man, and not something he would have done when the general public would be aware that he has committed criminal activities in the past. The amount of evidence left behind wold have landed Lex Luthor right back in jail with no one to pardon him. He would have completely wasted his pardon. That's why I still believe that unless something else happens that demonstrates that this is firmly in the era of the Justice League cartoon, Paul Dini intends for this series to be set in the era of TNBA/STAS. Also, as for your mention of Tim Drake being unfamiliar with Deathstroke despite him supposed to be a member of the Titans at this point in time, I don't think Paul Dini had the Titans in mind at all when he was making this story. From what I hear, the mentions of the Titans in the Static Shock cartoon were a mistake on a Paul Dini's part who assumed that then upcoming Teen Titans cartoon would be set in the DCAU, but things changed during the production of that show. Heck, considering Paul Dini's regret over those mentions in Static Shock, the fact that we never actually see who the DCAU Titans are, and that they are never mentioned anywhere else in any of the other cartoons, I wonder if they've been quietly ignored if not outright retconned into never having having existed in the first place. This is the mentality I've had regarding the subject on the presence or the lack thereof of the DCAU Titans whenever the subject unless something major happens regarding it. It wouldn't be the first time something in the animated shows was edited to remove a continuity mistake, or suddenly sprung onto the audience and brushed aside without explanation. The Static Shock cartoon made references to Superman being a fictional character in its first season, but when the second season came around the show was put into the DCAU, and those references were edited out in later airings. Also, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five showed us that Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner do become Green Lanterns despite the shows showing that while they do exist, there was nothing to suggest they would inducted into the Green Lantern Corps. Hal's case is especially egregious since aspects of his backstory have been given to Kyle Rayner (receiving his ring from Abin Sur) and John Stewart (his solo appearance in Static Shock says that he was the one who helped take out Sinestro when the Corps. noticed his villainy). Yet despite the implications, it's just brushed aside because that wasn't the story they were telling. If we were to ever see the Titans in the DCAU, I can be pretty sure that the lineup would not be the one you guys determined in this video you did quite a while back: th-cam.com/video/mJMkl5cWazM/w-d-xo.html While Starfire and Beast Boy are fine for a lineup that fans would have no problems with, the others would cause a bit of fan backlash. A Tim Drake Robin who is part of the first iteration of the Titans rather than Dick Grayson is too much of a diversion from the comics for the fans to accept. Same thing for Supergirl and Static although to a lesser extent. I don't think fans would have a problem with them being Titans, but being part of the first iteration of the team rather than other characters audiences would more associate with the Titans like Cyborg and Raven is asking for too much of a diversion from audience, and I don't blame them. The DCAU possible Titans team that you came up with is not formed to tell a unique with these characters, but rather to go through a bunch of continuity gymnastics in order to come up with an explanation for a problem that stems from a writer's mistake and a change in direction on a show that was still in production at the time.
Oh, most likely re: Dini intending this to be pre-JL. I think that’s the thinking as well. But in order to make it jive with established continuity, and not be bumped out of canon for basically no reason, we gotta find the spot it CAN fit in.
And i am still concered about next issue 6 !!! They may even introduce Profesor Pyg , Victor Zsasz , Black Mask , Hush , Court of Owls , Talon , Flashpoint Batman , Batman Who Laughs and Vampire Batman like Azrael , Deathstroke , Jason and Wonderland Gang !

And at this point, it's most likely that 9/11 happened in the DCAU before any modern superheroes debuted, as the DCAU uses the sliding timescale of Comic Book Time instead of a static timeline. The topical references that the shows used back in the 90s and early 2000s were just that, topical references and not indications of the true year that anything was taking place in. Present Day Batman will always be 35-ish, now and forevermore. I will die on this hill. :)

@@junggobay3277 Depends on who you ask. In Bruce Timm's mind, pretty much all the comics aren't canon. The Watchtower Database has a slightly different view, feeling that as long as a comic doesn't contradict anything from the shows, it can be seen as canon. So if Batman Adventures #8 contradicts "Mudslide," then the WDb won't count the comic as canon. Hope that helps!

Nope, separate entities. At least, seems to be that way. ARGUS first appeared in “Batman and Harley Quinn,” which takes place right after the Cadmus arc in JLU. But Task Force X, a division of Cadmus, still exists after B&HQ per that movie’s sequel comic.

Sińce this is comic book series they might get away with violence and dark story arcs and terryfing villains like that . And i want that they would extended this comic series for much more , more , more issues instead only 6 or 7 issues .

Nope, separate entities. At least, seems to be that way. ARGUS first appeared in “Batman and Harley Quinn,” which takes place right after the Cadmus arc in JLU. But Task Force X, a division of Cadmus, still exists after B&HQ per that movie’s sequel comic.
