This was absolutely awesome, and such a great video. I’m glad Azrael made it to the animated universe. He was my favorite DC character besides Batman and Batman beyond when I was a kid. Still have my old Azrael comics too :)

With Jason Todd, Hal Jordan, Ms. Martion and Jessica Cruz all making the jump to the DCAU. I would love to see a video discussing whether or not the DCAU should include more and more elements from the comics main continuity or should it strive to create its own world, as it did originally in the 90s/early 2000s, in a sort of "maintaining its own brand integrity" attempt.
One of these issues tye templeton is gonna use batman beyond batarangs just to mess with you.

Thorough as always WTDB! That shot at 6:38 from Holiday Knights always reminds me of the cover of All-Star Batman and Robin: The Boy Wonder Volume 1. I always wondered if that was an homage from Jim Lee to Bruce Timm and the DCAU.
Has there ever been a direct connection made between Owlman and Talon and the Court of Owls, Talon, and Owlman in the comics? Clearly the old Owlman with his side kick Talon was thought of when the New 52 stuff was thought of because Owlman's Talon is also Dick Grayson, which works with the entire Court of Owls story. And the Thomas Wayne Jr. thing.
However, Batman believed by the end that Lincoln Marsh or whatever was not his brother and was lead to believe that, but he could never confirm it.

Thanks for the video, guys! It's the big highlight of Sunday that I look forward to. You're always so thorough with the details, and there's at least a couple of moments in videos like these where I go, "Wow! I would have never noticed that detail, or obsessed over that small aspect!" By the way I've got some questions for you.
1 I also lament the fact that we're likely to never get an official followup to The Batman Adventures, but an even more grim thought came into my head. What are you guys going to do if "Batman: the Adventures Continue!" makes a story line choice that renders the "Batman Adventures" comic series completely incompatible with this comic series? Will you be forced to do a followup to your "Will it Canon?" video on the "Batman Adventures" and explain the changes that no longer make that series possible to fit into canon?
2 Speaking of "Batman Adventures" that series' version of the Red Hood would have been revealed to be Victoria Beaumont. I discovered that in the following link:

3 I saw on Twitter that you guys were taking notes for Green Lantern: The Animated Series for your eventual "Will It Canon?" episode on it that you'll do when the pandemic clears. However, I highly doubt it will clear up by the time your finished. So in the mean time, why don't you takes notes for some other shows that you were planning on covering this series as well when you're finished on looking the Green Lantern cartoon? I think the other shows that you were going to cover would be the Gotham Girls web series, the Lobo web series, the Legion of Super Heroes cartoon, Krypto the Superdog, and the Cartoon Monsoon- ZaTanna web shorts. Please note that for last series I listed, the letter "t" in Zatanna's name is randomly capitalized, and I don't know why they did that. 4 If you do manage to finish taking notes on all of the above and the pandemic is still ongoing, I have more suggestions on non-DCAU subjects. They would be the following:
I made this suggestion before, but seeing if the Batman Gotham Knight DTV movie is in continuity with Nolanverse.
Two Regarding "The Batman" cartoon
Seeing if The Batman vs Dracula DTV movie is in continuity with the series. What makes this movie very difficult to fit in the series is due to the complete absence or even mention of important characters like Ethan Bennett, Ellen Yin, Commissioner James Gordon, and Barbara Gordon who were pretty important characters in the series.
What further complicates the situation is the fact that the events of this movie were never referenced at all in the series, and the character of Vicki Vale, who made her debut in this movie, never appeared in the main series as well and was never even mentioned. There's also an episode that shows that Batman doesn't believe in the Supernatural which I think deals with Solomon Grundy. I think that would put this series somewhere in Season 2 of the show, but that's all I can give you. This movie is so disconnected from the main series that you could watch through the entire main series without even knowing that The Batman vs Dracula even exists and not really miss anything in terms of continuity.
My other suggestion would be seeing if "The Batman" cartoon is in the same continuity as the Teen Titans cartoon. I don't think they are due to their depictions of the character Killer Moth being very different to the point of being irreconcilable in my eyes. I'm not sure why fans try to put these two series in the same continuity with each other. It's like some fans just couldn't give up on the idea that the Teen Titans cartoon being part of some larger animated universe, but they realized that it wouldn't work with the DCAU so they went for their only other option which was the only other animated series that featured Robin.

If its tradition to say this character does not exist in the and then a year later they pop up might I suggest saying Cassandra Cain do not exist in the DCAU (As Lady Shiva was confirmed with Batman and Harley Quinn).

9:48 Don't forget, in "Epilogue" aka "the episode that shall not be named", Amanda Waller professes to be a Christian. I'm learning more about theology lately, so I could maybe assist you if you want more info in that area. I believe the Bible teaches that God is a God of love and wrath, and holiness, justice, and peace, and that these concepts are not opposed to each other as we might think.
I mean, you're also talking about a being who supposedly flooded the Earth, almost tricked one of his followers into killing his own son, and once murdered an entire city full of people for being gay. That basically contradicts any claims of love, holiness, or justice right there.
Batman also says I believe you in the TDKR movie, not sure about the comic. But he likely says it there also.

Apropos of the similarity between Azrael and Phantasm:
In Denmark Batman: Mask of the Phantasm was retitled "Batman: Dødsenglen" or Batman: The Angel of Death. This is of course in reference to Andrea's catchphrase, but was also a necessary concession since the Danish word for "Phantasm" is not in common use.
I am also severely disappointed that this version of Azrael doesn't have the ski-mittens of his comic counterpart. Everyone knows angels wear mittens.

For sure! Boots and belt are different, but the longer ears and more purple-y coloring made me think the same.

what if the comics get a movie
Catwoman's blue skin is meant to cover her real skin color so no one can correctly guess what she looks like and she washes it off when she takes off her costume. Simple. Also, it's kinda pointless for Catwoman to now be hiding her skin color since Batman and the gcpd knows her identity.
Her identity is public knowledge, even, as of “Cat Scratch Fever” from BTAS.
