I support these line of products and im waiting anxiously for the next gen. With better speakers ^^ and hopefully much bigger battery, a better trackpad would be a nice addition too :)
uPerfect has been playing catch-up with NexDock; this one seems on par with the NexDock 360 (wireless + wired model). This lapdock is considerably more expensive than the NexDock 360.

Yeah it's probably not the best time to buy these yet. But it is on sale here in Brazil and I bought it for less than 300 dollar. I already have an decent sasmsung phone and I did not want too spend too much on a tablet with keyboard, so I went for it. Hope I am not gonna be too disappointed😅
Since NexDock Wireless can't be shipped to my country, this is the only iteration I can own. I just hope that UPERFECT can put a third USB-C port for OTG peripherals.
@@scaryifliteral so i bought one just to see i managed to get it for around 250, and i gotta say this things amazing, i thought the lack of am extra port would annoy me but honestly its great as a cheaper alternitive to the uperfect and nexdock, though mouse speed with double fingers is kinda quick

The stock speakers are meh. I use a jbl clip 4 for portable audio if need be. Most of the time I rock Bluetooth headphones, the wf 1000xm4 and the Samsung galaxy buds 2 pro. I also have a 20k mah power bank with power delivery, thus almost tripling the battery life.
I have been unable to test a Dopesplay monitor. Their terms for a review involved far too much control that I could not abide by and so my channel will not look at their products at current.

I spent $350, was worth every penny. Not having to find the wifi access for any Cafe and instead using Samsung Dex with my unlimited mobile data, it's a massive win.
does it have removable battery? how long does the battery last? if it doesnt have removable battery then this becomes ewaste really quick and theres no point buying it..

If it is my money, I'll pass. Handheld is called handheld for a reason. If I need bigger external display for my phone, I'll take tablet. For $400, Tab Samsung Tab S6L (2022) is decent

I've tried a couple of different ones, both with a dongle plugging in first to the lapdock, then getting a splitter for my phone and plugging it in with both the lapdock and mouse connections going dirrectly from the phone and then finally trying to pair the phone to the mouse. Am I using the wrong kind of mouse? Love the lapdock, love your vids, just can't figure one stupid thing out.
@scaryifliteral I'm curious as to how the power distribution works. Let's say I have the ROG Ally plugged in, will the lapdock provide power to the ROG Ally WHILE it displays stuff onto the lapdock? Also, if I'm charging the lapdock with the ROG Ally displaying stuff, will that power pass thru and keep the ROG ally as well? Thanks for responding btw. I'm so confused as I understand there are quite some different USB C protocols.
Started watching this guy for the Duo 1 coverage, glad he's branched out to other tech as well.
My HP lapdock is still serving me well over USBC. Steam deck and Dex compatible. Got it on clearance many years ago for $125.
That HP lapdock is still way ahead of its time. It's a shame that Windows Phone died. I still rate it as my top favourite mobile OS to date.
That hp lapdock is gem, especially when you have hp x3 phone back then

I would have hoped that for the price, the X14 Pro would have good speakers and a brighter screen.
Screen brightness has not been an issue for me, but the speakers are bad.

Idk as an Aussie nexdock is 440 bucks, where as the uperfect is 380 shipped

The NexDock 360 should be avaulable outside of the US sometime after February 28, 2023, according to NexDock.
There's a steam deck version and a 15.6 inch version would love to see the differences

Works like on most other phones. You get the Open's screen in the middle of two black bars. Everything else works the same.
