What thumbstick covers do you use? They look great and I’m finding my thumbs slipping off the sticks a lot. Great video btw👍
@@someguyinatshirt These ones I've got are from dbrand. They never come off so you won't have that issue with these :)
Where are the links I don’t see any links.
Bruh you need to be mike tyson to take all that weight in your hands while playing without a table or a support
This review was epic! Truly. So much info, easy to digest.
Good job adding the airline limit on the battery pack capacity. That is important consumer information.
I made sure of it because I missed it in an earlier video 🙂
Yeah seriously I almost dropped 150 bucks on a battery before figuring out I couldn't take it on my flight. Close shave.
@@baphomathedude8057 Technically, you just have to make sure individual batteries don't go above 100 watt hours. If you've got a battery bank with multiple 90 watt hour batteries, you may be able to get around it lol
It allows up to 30000 normally.
@@gr4j0m3r I always heard up to 27,000mAH. This video said 26,800. Power banks usually come in 20k or 30k. So it’s safer to just go with 20k. Airlines allow you to bring 2 of those
To each his own, but I still don't understand why people need to buy some sort of travel case/cover to replace the case it comes with.
usually it’s because those cases offer more storage or take up less space in a bag
Only reasons I've been passively keeping an eye out is because one, Id like a way to carry it better than a little handle, and two, I'm not totally jazzed by the thick strap compartment in the back, it's not water resistant and I've already had my charger fly out of it just taking it around the house, honestly if I could just have a zipped up door or even a velcro door over that little compartment, I'd be perfectly fine with the stock case.
The stock case is fine i just wish it was made of a smoooth plastic or a fake leather or something i hate that rough nylon material
As a woman, the case it comes with doesn't fit in my purses. So I have the jsaux mod case because it makes the steam deck more travel friendly
I wanted it to be bigger with more space so I can hold the charger, micro sd cards, and cables while also being hardshell for maximum protection. The original case is nice but I needed more room. I like keeping all my steam deck accessories in 1 place
This has got to be the most concise and to-the-point accessory video I've ever seen and I'm so glad I stumbled across it. Super informative, thank you for the upload!
Glad it was helpful!
Rapid fire mini reviews for each item. I love that you were very fast and zeroed in on the point of each thing as well as being very informative. Great stuff.
Oh, this video is a hidden gem. Awesome video.
I just got my Steam Deck. I'm deciding which accessories I wanna buy. Thank you very much for sharing your current portable setup.
Where was it hidden?
This channel is gonna take off I can feel it. Everything is super crisp to the point and informative throughout 👏
I appreciate that!
Great job breaking down the pros and cons of all of these. I just bought the 512 version during the spring sale and I was having a difficult time finding a comprehensive list of accessories. Great video!
Awesome video. Tons of great recommendations. No time wasted. Fast but not confusing delivery. Excellent.
This is a fantastic round up, and great info for each category. I just ordered my 64gb on the sale, and can't wait to dive in. Since I plan on couch gaming indoor for now, probably just grabbing a microSD, screen protector and maybe a skin for now, to protect from scratches. But definitely looking at the Deckmate, attachable power, and additional cards for storage in the future. Doubt I'll need the bigger cases unless I find myself traveling!
Edit: The docking stations seem interesting for TV gaming with the kids!
On the topic of MicroSD-Cards:
The SanDisk Ultra recommended in this video isn't the best performance, even considering price, you can get for the Steam Deck.
Get a Samsung EVO Select (Amazon-exclusive) or EVO Plus (same, but not Amazon) for about the same price! It's Application Class A2.
The Steam Deck can handle A2-class cards, which guarantees 2000 IOPS writing (=random write operations) instead of just 500 IOPS writing on class A1.
Mostly while gaming, this isn't very important, because on most games you don't have many random, parallel read/write operations.
Where it makes a big difference, is while compressing or extracting packages. This might not seem relevant, but it is, every time you update a game. Steam downloads and updates work by downloading medium size packages and extracting them.
On A1 class cards (and unclassified "A0" basically), extracting can be slower than the download itself (bottlenecking overall download speed) plus there is a significantly longer waiting time after the download is at 100% but still considered unfinished.
You still might not notice that much. Installing a big game might take a few minutes longer. On daily usage, you get a few updates per day and don't care about a bit of extra waiting time.
If you don't touch the Deck for a week or longer, Updates accumulate. Suddenly all the games you have on your 512 GB card need a relatively big update. And now you'll notice the difference. Suddenly there are 1-5 minutes of extra installation time per game which on a 512GB card can accumulate to half an hour.
So, if you have the option, get a A2 Card instead.
Best thing is: You don't need to pay extra. Samsung EVO cards are A2 and priced competitively to SanDisk Ultra A1 cards.
I have the bag! It's great! I do recommend adding some soft of padding in between the deck and the accessories pockets just for extra protection. I just use foam.
just got a steam deck OLED for Christmas and I've been looking at a lot of these types of videos to see accessories I'd like to buy and out of all of them, this is my favorite video. Straight to the point, great recommendations and the quality of video is superb!
The problem is the Deckmate is way too expensive.
A cheaper, and easier solution I found just sticking a very small bit of heavy duty Velcro (max weight it can hold is 7kg) to the back works perfectly. Doesn't affect thermals, and it's so cheap to do! It holds my Powerbank with no risk of falling, and I can switch it out for a stand or anything external I like.
I love this alternative too!
Great video, thank you for giving us almost everything out there in this video 😂 I will be picking up a docking station, case and possibly the carry bag. I appreciate the quality video.
hands down the best steam deck accessory review. got to the point, explained well and sold me on many of these products! thanks
Really, really good video. Fast, coherent script as well. You're going places mate.
Also, my man is training arms all day.
Just ordered a deck and appreciate you being concise and to the point! Thx for reviewing these accessories!
Awesome video. The balanced talk through of options and pros and cons was great! Thanks muchly!
Anytime! Thanks for watching 🙂
Genuinely one of the best Steam Deck accessories videos I've seen, hands down
Great video, thanks! Had my Deck for almost a year, and I love it. This inspires me to maybe grab a couple more accessories now that I’m traveling a bit more.
Outstanding video! This is just what I was looking for now that I’ve ordered the steam deck, great recommendations!
This is a very well put together video and is straight to the point with all the steamdeck accessories. My favourite was the deckmate mount.
I noticed you have a skin on the back buttons (R4, R5, L4, L5), but you didn't mention those in the video. Do you have a link for them?
Thanks!
Holy moly, I just happened upon this video while casually looking for Deck stuff. I dig what you're doing here. Good energy and the info is just rapid fire and to the point. Keep it up!
The foldable bluetooth keyboard with trackpad is actually excellent for when you quickly need to jump into desktop mode. I got it using your link, thanks for the great list.
Do you have any issues right clicking? Trackpad didn’t look like it had buttons.
@@LihimSidhe the right/left buttons is the trackpad itself. Usually down to the buttom lies the left/right buttons. Most laptops has this in its design
I cannot get mine to connect to the steam deck
Thanks for the help. I recently got my own Steam Deck, and your vid helped me with portable power banks since I'll be travelling in a few short months. Here's hoping it works out.
This video is fantastic - the quality, delivery and products mentioned are all top tier. Thanks for this, excited for your content!
Damn you uploaded this at the right time bro. I just got a Steam Deck and was looking for accessories for it. Thanks for this great video.
I got you my bro! 💯
I like a solid pouch so I can tote along cords, cards, batteries, etc.
And that magnetic usb adapter is A MUST. You'll thank yourself when you mistakenly yank your deck while it's still plugged in.
I'd recommend a minimum 6ft fast charge cable.
i have seen a nvme deck dock that would allow an additional 2 tb of storage for your steam library! not sure how much a pain a 1 tb internal memory swap is but might be worth looking into
Nice, Im seeing information that alot of other youtubers do not mention. Very informative! Definitely subscribed!
By far the best steam deck accessories video on YT.
I just love people with this type of personality
Informative, strait to the point... I love it. More power to you!
Just ordered my steam deck today! this helps a lot as I wasn't really sure or started looking for accessories. Thanks a ton!
You’re gonna love it! I’m excited for you 🙂
Thanks for the info, very helpful.
Great rapid fire. Exactly what I was looking for as a new steam deck owner.
Man, I wish every content creator that was giving information did so at this pace. Great video, super informative, didn't know about that airline power limit and it will definitely affect my purchase of a battery bank.
Information delivery was way too fast for me - I got palpitations just sitting here listening lol. That said, the info in the video is great and there's no way you can want for more info! I just had to pause and recap from time to time 👍
Great vid man! Ordered the case and a few other items bc of this review.
Q: can you also link your button protectors? Looks like hex stickers on the 4 underside buttons
Good list! I use a similar setup, but with the Tomtoc bag. I had one of those keyboards for 3 years and the battery finally stopped holding a charge. I have a Rii i4 on the way.
Just a note on external controllers - Dualshock and Dualsense both have gyro and a touch interface, making it closer to Steam Decks controls.
Hey great video! You pointed me to a few great accessories, straight to the point.
I am dead set on the Kill Switch case, which battery do you think is the most comfortable for you?
THANK YOU! What a great video. I purchased a few recommended items and can't wait for them to arrive.
Great video dawg.. I got that Magnetic Angled adapter cuz of the video you posted and it's a game changer!
Clear, to the point, phenomenal camera work, and brother is juiced so it encourages you to not skip the routine? Subscribed. Well earned, brother.
Loved the video now i want a steam deck love the suggestions for accessories
Saw the shoulder bag on your TikTok and now I need it for all my traveling! Great video and you got a new Sub 👊🏼
Much love bro! 🙏🏾
I'm excited to get my deck! Great video, tons of ideas for good accessories, thanks man.
You're gonna love it man!
It's better and cheaper to buy gaming laptop than steam skateboard with toooooons of accesories and battery life for 1h which is funny.
@@Fioletowooki Laptops have their place but it's not even a comparison when comparing convenience. Haha
The portable battery attached to the deck is super cool. I may do the same depending on my budget. Thanks for the awesome ideas and even better video.
Much love! :)
I love this video, straight to the point and no time wasted. You got my sub!
good video they all seem practical, will have to look into some of the suggestions
You deserve more subscribers. Very informative and consumer friendly, looking forward to future videos!
Much appreciated! and I've got more where this came from :)
Absolutely the best list of Steam Deck Accessories! Liked and subscribed!
Thanks! I will buy some of them.
Awesome, thank you!
Saved this video for future when I get my deck. Thanks a lot!
WHAT ?! Didn't hear about the travel cover, so amazing. Might consider the killswitch case then...
New to a steam deck and I have to say best video I've seen on info for the steamdeck, great job man cant wait for more videos.
And you won’t wait long I promise! Thanks for the support 🙏🏾💯
By far the best steam deck accessories video. Keep it up my man!
Much love bro! Thank you 🙏🏾
It would be really cool if there was a company that made control freeks or good quality thumb caps for steam deck sticks.
The last thing I want to complete my Deck Setup is a powerbank and a skin that I like 😁
Almost got the full setup my man!
dbrand sells thumbgrips for the steam deck for $10. doesn't interfere with the capacitive touch sensor either. I've been using them for like two months and they're perfect.
Awesome Accessories, thank you!
Amazing recommentations, liked the video editing and energy, and many stuff I haven't heard yet
Thank you! 😊
I see you and I are kindred spirits. I have the whole set up. Nearly the exact set up as you. The case, cover, tempered glass, all of it. It only makes sense to have all of it.
Severely underrated TH-camr
That’s an awesome video. Considering the dock for my setup, also a controller. Just wondering if companies will be releasing Steam Deck “oriented” controllers shortly. Thanks for the tips mate.
I’ll be on the lookout for controllers designed for the Deck but so far we got nada lol. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
I also own a steam deck, I got a kick stand case, usb hub, 512gb internal storage, 512gb SD card and 2tb external game drive for my deck. Then I got a 65w power bank (veetomx) for my deck and yes I've got black carbon skin for deck and got a 65w Anker plug and Anker usb 6ft long for 24/7 use and kept my og deck charger in a storage. So yeah I'm on my way (though) to buy a deckmate very soon.
You’re setup nice man!
Just ordered my SD today cant wait for it to come in gonna order the Keyboard, Power bank and dock
Keep in mind, the magnetic stand on the Killswitch only had problems on certain models of the Steam Deck.
I found this video randomly in my suggestions. Great quality here. I definitely see the sub count growing quickly on here.
Very nice very Nice! Looking forward to see how they all work! Ty!
I want to intersect at 5:28 real quick
Running off an SD card compared to an SSD WILL increase load times quite a bit because the SD card will have slower read times which is just a limitation of the card itself.
Also, stuttering CAN happen ingame when it loads a lot of data, when for example going into a new area or anytime the game needs to load a new environment into memory.
If you dont care about longer initial loadtimes to get you into the game, an SD card is fine, but expect some framedrops related to limited data speed if you game off the card.
I myself got the 64gb model and swapped a 1TB SSD in there for steam games, and got a 512GB SD Card for my Emudeck stuff, mostly ROMs I use for emulation, it holds my entire ROM library and I dont care about the load times in these especially because there is truly no difference on lower end consoles like the N64 or PS1 because the original expected data speed on these consoles is lower than what the SD card can provide.
Great info I got from this video. I just got my steam deck. Thanks man.
6:07 The steam deck with a power bank attached to the back and the exposed cable and the teardown skin resembles a modern day gameboy with the worm light in a way
This came in handy for the rog ally, imma pick up the bag for it.
Yo man great content. Keep up the work, way to find all kinds of cool and practical ideas for the deck
Appreciate it!
This is the first of your videos I have seen. I love how you have zero bullshit--just useful info. Also, you are jacked af.
Very helpful, thank you!
Great video! Thanks for putting it together
First time I come across one of your videos. Great work! Keep it up
Great video! This must have been very expensive to make, we appreciate the hard work and money spent making this video my man
9:20 that things got more backlight bleed than the steam deck does 😂 I hope cheap IPS becomes a thing of the past soon
man carrying around this thing I completely understand why Nintendo chose to not go balls to the walls with the switch. I do take my switch everywhere, but my steamdeck is almost only used at home. The thing weights more than my work laptop.
Good job with the video man loved it. If I could afford a deck then there are a few things here I'd get.
Great content 👌
Glad you enjoyed! Thank you :)
The extra battery is so cool i might get one of those 👌
It takes an awful lot for me to subcribe to someone (just don't normally like all the notifications) but this breakdown is so clean and concise no messing i;m about to buy majority of this list haha
I have a portable monitor and it makes using my Deck so much better when I use a keyboard and mouse :)
That bag at the end is actually pretty cool
Nicely explained and great pacing with lots of info. 👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Very nice reviews, thank you!
where can I buy the wrap you are using with all those internals ? Looks awesome !
Say what you will about me but there's a good amount of good looking black lads doing tech reviews and it's making me feel things.
I love nerds.
Earned a sub from me! Great video!! Very informative and very time a question would pop into my head you answered it with product demonstration!
Case: Why the dbrand case over the Jsaux?
Also, thank you! You answered a question I had on using the Deck Mate with a case.
How did you get the L-shaped adapter to fit with the killswitch? I bought the adapter but the steam dock cable is too short for it to reach it.
Bro I follow your workout channel and had no idea you have a tech one 😆 Planning on getting a handheld gaming device so your contents have been really helpful for me to make a decision 🙏🏻
Quick question do you use your steam deck while charging all the time ? Iam new to the steam deck
Great video was very helpful! Thanks!
what are some cables that work with the steam deck for charging and connecting with the power bank ?
I got that keyboard. It works great (obviously it's not an amazing keyboard. It's foldable and cheap, so don't expect a great typing experience).
It connects easily and the battery lasts a long time while not in use (also while in use, but obviously it drains much faster when used).
Too bad I dropped mine and now I need to charge it in a specific position or it won't charge :(
Great video. Really nice set ups too.
Thank you for the good review!
