  • Life in Thailand is known for being very relaxed compared to the West. While in general this is true, especially when it comes to things like Thailand's nightlife as well as many other things in Thailand's culture. There are things that are FAR from chill in Thailand. A lot of the time Thailand tips and tricks are telling you what to do, not what NOT to do. In today's video we're going over my TOP 5 horrible decisions that "farangs" make in Thailand, and how you're life can be different forever because of them.

Don't underestimate Thai men. Kickboxing is their national sport. I've seen many big foreigners get dropped by Thai men half their size.

Great advice, thanks Ian. I have been to Thailand 8 times and never had one issue by sticking to those rules and as they say “Be careful out there”. You get some great shots for your B role👍

I'm taking my 3rd trip to Thailand in May. Taking the misses up north, I haven't been anywhere up there yet.

Such good advice here bro. Amazingly I’m just about a week away from two months here. Already.
You go so far and pleasantly here by treating all Thai people with extreme respect and lots of smiles.
Also, I’ve seen a lot of foreigners feel like the “sabai sabai” vibe extends to acting disrespectfully to Thai women and to party favors. I’ve seen some Thai to farang smackdowns due to this.
I’ve even stopped doing party broccoli here because you do have to have your wits about you at night.
But honestly, I haven’t been this happy in over a decade. I’m so glad I moved here. Just don’t be amoral or combative. You will be too.

With regards to bikes, my plan is to ride my electric bicycle on the street first. It only goes up to 30mph but I think that will help me get acclimated to the way of thai driving before I go on to motorbikes

@tempustv appreciate it! Depending on how long it takes for visa approval, I should land in phuket in either May or June. I'm nervous and excited at the same time!

Nice video but the roads aren't chilled at all as they one of the most dangerous in the world. The language barrier has become increasingly worse over the years due to phone addictions. In Philippines the people are far more relaxed and the streets are not so dangerous . The yabadabadu is allowed a few tablets in the pockets which is the primary reason for their aggressive driving behavior. When you understand their language you will understand their underlying abhorrence for the foreigners living in their country.
