      These trolls clearly don't know human history, the cultivation of crops(wheat,corn potatoes etc) is only about 12,000 years old. Modern humans are between 200 - 300,000 years old and predominantly calories would have come from hunted meat and the fat from it. I'd love to try this but can't eat dairy or pork so it would have to be mainly beef(poultry is not fatty enough)and eggs.

      You will find the negative comments, most are AI auto bot generated.
      Fakebook is a rife with it.
      You're going against the doctrinal dogma.
      I've seen this everywhere on social media... fb is the worst. The negatory towards you is a psychological game play to shut you down and make you give up yourself promotional positive experience.
      The best you can do is block each fake profile as they come.
      Keep going, and dont let them get to you.. always remember most are fake ai bots.

    I can only speak for myself, I’am 71, 74kilos, 6 foot average build. I keep away from processed foods, only eat fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts, berry’s, 90% cocoa just one small portion a day, once a fortnight steak or beef. Chicken, fish twice a week, rice, 5 eggs a week, oatmeal 3 times a week, rice, sourdough bread or whole meal bread, butter. One black coffee 2 green teas a day. I take no medication, sometimes zinc, cod liver oil and magnesium occasionally, no alcohol or any smoking. Lots of exercise, 3K runs twice a week, swim laps, play badminton, loads of walking. Try and get 7 or 8 hours sleep, meditation a little yoga, weights in the gym once a week. Sometimes miss breakfast. It’s not a diet it’s a lifestyle. Plus a good relationship with a very traditional Thai lady who cooks amazing meals, life is good! 😊

    Have been doing carnivore/ keto since early 2019.
    Never even had a common cold once over this period.
    Our ancestors have been eating this way for 300 000 years.
    Hunt, eat, then fast until the next kill .
    Occasionally eating berries or the like if available.
    Eskimos have thrived on only fish and blubber for eternity.
    A' meat only' diet is thus inherently the most natural way to live and couldn't be healthier.

    here is some interesting information , trainee Doctors studying to become qualified over a 4-5 year period , recieve less than 1 months training on the subject of Nutrition !!!! So if you bother to educate yourself by reading, trying new health approaches & joining common groups of interest , you will be so educated in comparison to most doctors when it come to nutrition , that you will be able to educate them !!! Example …… u want to invest in real estate then find an accountant that also invests in real estate .
    The same applies to a good Doctor to care for your body & offer advice , one that has a full understanding of Nutrition & Lifestyle . Not some stranger that opens his Big Pharma bible & picks a drug that might work or might kill you …..

      I had a conversation just last night with a mate of mine who is back in the UK.
      His son has recently qualified to become a doctor.
      I asked him out of those 5 years of intense studying, how much of that time was spent looking at nutrition and preventative natural medicine.
      The answer;
      Nutrition... 2 lectures = 4 hours maximum.
      Preventative and natural medicine... None.
      You only need to Google;
      HOW JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER INFLUENCED MODERN MEDICINE
      Then you'll understand.

I lost 30 lbs in the first 2 months. Everything he said was spot-on. The carnivore diet is not a restrictive diet. Eat as much as you want. Im naturally on the OMAD diet without being hungry, and it has given me freedom in my life.

    Genetics play a large part in this as does your physical condition lifestyle and your internal gut biome. It will not be suitable for everyone. If it works for you then great just make sure you get regular bloods done to check your overall health stats. As we age many of our problems are related to slowing down in life, especially when we retire. Key is a healthy diet and getting regular cardio and strength exercise. Training to strengthen your balance muscles is especially important especially as muscles loose size and strength in the normal aging process.

  • @Oggiwara1
    @Oggiwara1 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Thanks for sharing! Dave has hit the nail with his journey with Autofogy. It starts slowly even after 18 Hours of fasting, and has it's peak at 72 Hours. So you really do not need to fast longer than 72 Hours at the time, but it surely don't hurt to prolong the fast a day or so longer either as long as you feel well. That means that you reach Autofogy with one(OMAD) og two meals a day. And only eat clean real food like meat, fish, eggs and so on and NO supplements what so ever... And it don't hurt to add Garlic, Broccoly sprouts and leafy greens to the diet.

    • @ThailandSights
      @ThailandSights 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Great comment, I also think if you are unable to fast for a few days easily then your health is not optimal and cannot burn stored fat.

      @@ThailandSights I agreed. But the reason could also be that the body is not in Ketosis yet. Because to be in Ketosis helps a lot in my experience. But we are all different and react differently to different approach to fasting. And that means we have optons if one way to do it fails, we can try a different way until we succeed.

  • @davehobwest

    I'm not so sure it "isn't promoted." I mean, for diabetes/blood pressure/etc. issues the first advice out of Doctors' mouths is lose some weight and get regular exercise. Then they write you the prescriptions that you'll be on "forever" because pretty much nobody does the lose weight and exercise bit. Good on you for doing the lifestyle changes (seriously, I really mean it. Great job!), but don't act like the medical community is keeping it a secret because there's no money in it or whatever. The sad truth is, people are lazy and Doctors know it. Given the choice between lifestyle changes and just popping a couple pills a day, most people opt for the easy way.

      Any easy test is to try fasting for two or three days if you cannot do it easily then your probably addicted to sugar/carbs as soon as your body burns all its glucose store it would normally burn the stored fat naturally, but if you find yourself starving after just a day something is wrong.

    • @TheIsaanFarang
      @TheIsaanFarang  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @davehobwest
      Talking with Dave in this interview, he says about a qualified doctor admitting that alternatives to what is seen as 'standard practice medicine', is not recommended as "There is no money in it".
      My family doctor back in the UK when giving advice about a child with Ulcerative Colitis, said the best thing to do would be to visit a Homeopathic Doctor, based in Glasgow, Scotland and gave us his number.
      The family doctor asked us not to mention this to anyone else in the surgery as it could jeopardise his standing in the practice.
      There is a definite bias against "natural" or "alternative medicine".

      My Doctor never once mentioned the effects that Insulin has on the body he was only interested in blood sugar and the reduction with medication. He never mentioned that a reduction in carbohydrates will reduce blood sugar and Insulin. With elevated insulin you cannot loose weight as one of the main purposes of Insulin is to store energy. By prescribing me Metformin for over 20 years I did not realise that it was only treating the effects of a bad diet. Over a long time of researching this subject it is more about hormones and the effects of foods on the body more so than just calories in and calories out 80% of Americans are overweight I just used Americans I saw some figures somewhere and it is not their fault as the Standard American Diet recommended carbs as the largest proportion of your daily intake.

    Great effort mate. Everyone needs to find what works for them and you certainly have.
    I’ve been practicing intermittent fasting for a few years 16-20hrs no food daily. I feel fresh, alert and don’t have an problem working out on an empty stomach.

    I would never eliminate carbohydrates from my diet, but try to include those that have some positive benefits - so more berries, fruits and vegetables, and less cakes, biscuits and bread (I take but minimise). To eliminate these foods and focus only on meat and dairy will increase your risk of cancer and heart disease.

    • @TheIsaanFarang
      @TheIsaanFarang  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Depends on where you get your information from.
      Pook and I still eat fruit and vegetables, but not so sure about the increased risk.
      There is a guy who was interviewed on the Dr Berg TH-cam channel who was sent home from hospital with stage 4 cancer.
      Cured himself mainly through fasting and a carnivore diet.

    I first became interested in this type of eating after watching the Netflix series “Alone” which is basically a starvation game played out in the wilderness. One of the contestants killed a Moose and I just assumed that he would outlast everyone that season. He even rendered most of the fat from the meat and was eating that, but he could not stop dropping weight and was pulled from the competition by the doctors. Dave is right about getting over the tipping point to where the body starts to metabolize fat stores is the key.

    The reason you put on weight after fasting is that you were gaining muscle and losing fat with daily movements as light exercise. Protein is tied to testosterone and muscle. You were on an athlete's diet without you realizing it. Enjoy!

      You have to understand why people are starting to question the drive behind what big pharma have been doing for so long with the help of the medical profession.
      The son of a good friend of mine has just qualified as a doctor in the UK.
      I asked him how much of his 5 years of hard work and study was spent looking at nutrition and natural remedies.
      His answer; 2 lectures (max 4 hours) on nutrition, NOTHING on natural remedies.
      Listen to the interview and what Dave was told by his doctor, 20 years ago. He told Dave that he would be taking tablets for diabetes and blood pressure for the rest of his life.
      A bit of research, and Dave cured himself. No more medication = no more profit for the drug company.
      Where and when did you study?

    typical farrang vid ,don't agree with a lot but some made sense . I'm from London also ,been here 23 years and yes ,I'm not fat also . Walk my muts every morning ,average trip around 6 or 7 km ,which keeps me out of the 'wat' for the time being . keeps me being cremated . Why not mention the health care here ,it's wonderful and if your ailment is outside the basic Thai NHS available the cost will be minimal . Health insurance a waste of time in my view but up to each individual ,if you've got the dosh then pay when needed
