My plan is to do 6 months in Thailand and 6 months in my homecountry. I love the older apartments less ammeneties but more privacy and bigger apartments.
Been doing 6 n 6 for 5 years now and it's been working out so far but I will attempt a year on my next crossing with a retirement visa. The money that can be made in a western country is nearly impossible to resist. Just got back 2weeks ago and the contrast is stark after 7 months in The ricefields 😆
What's your visa plan? Visa runs?

After watching a ton of YT videos about condos, I had a list of about 10. It took me 3 weeks to choose one - and it wasn't on my original list, but I knew of it & knew it was near a couple others that I was looking at. It is VERY nice and VERY inexpensive, less than ⅓ of what I paid in The States. It is smaller, but 40 years newer than my US apartment was. I did utilize 2 local agents and they were VERY helpful.
$1000 a month will probably get you a VERY nice condo in Bangkok, whereas in the West, it would be many times more.
