    I love that you guys did the oil change and the air filter in two different videos. Great job on the oil change. Plenty of tips, and easy to follow. This is probably the first video I’ve seen someone actually change the crush washer 👍🏼

      Thank you Matt for watching and sharing. We appreciate you. I find it interesting that many don't share that with the crush washer and why it's important. I had to put this bolt on the vice in order to get it off. Ugh.

    just to add on the good job. you can drain oil filter separately and avoid contact with dirty oil altogether by undoing this metal part at the bottom of filter cover. in my case this part came with oil cartridge , and has new little o-ring.

    Awesome part 2 to the series on the Sorento. Easy to follow steps. Anyone else notice the hot rod sending it in the background when Dana talked about taking it for a quick test drive? LOL.

      Too funny about the hot rod. We laughed we we heard the timing of it. Thank you for watching and sharing!

      Thank you brother. I think we like these a lot and they seem to be right in line with why we created the channel.

    Nice detailed video.What a pita that Kia did not have access "doors" on the air dam. Funny my 2016 Kia Rondo does have one for the oil filter which is the conventional metal can type. I would be tempted to make a little cutout somehow so you don't have to remove the big sheet every time. Good to use a new crush washer every time. Any decent synthetic oil would do fine, even consider Kirkland if you are a Costco member as it tests fine even compared to the big name brands.

      Hi Dave, thanks for watching and noting this! I think you're on the right track to create your own door, which in our opinion would be a lot better than just hacking an open hole in the air dam. Maybe other models have the door that you could just buy from the parts department and install yourself with the body panel clips.... Keep us posted if you figure it out! We agree that brand of engine oil doesn't matter nearly as much as the viscosity (weight) or the grade. As long as you're using the right viscosity and grade, then brand shouldn't matter! Take care and stay safe!

      @@SpiritedWrenchers To clarify my Rondo does have a handy factory access door right below the oil filter. You could cut an access panel too for yours and just drill a few holes and secure with a few black nylon zip ties. Just cut off when changing oil and zip up when done.

    What about AWD kia Sorento's? Any components that would need replacing or lubricants?

    • @SpiritedWrenchers
      @SpiritedWrenchers  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi DaddyBeetle, Happy Father's Day! Any AWD vehicle will have additional components beyond that which you can find in a standard FWD or RWD vehicle, such as both a front and rear differential. Without the owner's manual to reference the specific maintenance schedule, we wouldn't be of much help to suggest which of these services you can perform yourself at home and which are better left to the hands of a seasoned shop technician/mechanic. Hope this helps; take care and stay safe!

      Hi Earthkeening, thanks for watching and asking. We will need to update our description to include the parts links to what we used. At 4:03 timestamp, we get into the drain plug noting that it is a 17mm socket used. Hope this helps, take care and stay safe!
