I have 2023 Kia sportage hybrid and is giving 38mpg after driving for 27000 miles, it’s smooth and great to drive machine. Thank you the video was not sure how to reset the service indicators. Keep up the great job.
Excellent video - thank you! Simply seeing where the drain plug and filter are, and their associated torques were invaluable. My new 2025 Sportage PHEV X-Line Prestige has the Smartstream G1.6 T-Gdi PHEV engine. Some models (trims) of the Sportage have a different engine types: 2.5 liter, 1.6 and 1.6 Turbo, and I assume each has a different oil fill capacity. My owner's manual says the drain and refill capacity to be 5.07 quarts. Is that the total amount when you replace the filter?
Yes, drain and refill is 5.07 U.S qt. I strongly recommend to double check the level and add if needed after 1st engine start up. Thank you for watching.
One more question, I have a 24 Sportage sx prestige. I see some other models of 2.4 engine have 191hp and mine 187hp. Is the difference in computer software, homie needs more power. I don't care about fuel economy. I'm coming from a 2.0 turbo with 264hp. Thought I could deal with what I got, I was trying to be cheap. If it's software would a dealer allow me to upgrade. Thanks, I guess I'm not as old as I thought!
My oil filter is leaking, we changed the gasket already 3 times on my oil filter but still leaking after 100km of driving, only have 33k km on my 2023 Kia sportage 2.5 gdi, what do you think is the problem?
Excellent... many thanks for the video... to those of us who are going for the first maintenance helps us a lot... greetings from Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱 PS: You could put machine translation in different languages... Thank you Gracias
@WrenchingRyan like these... you know take it to a mechanic and we perform the first maintenance as you did.... but he told me something about the tire pressure sensor... that it is associated with the tire and if we make the change of tyres these were inverted ...
I appreciate that you torque the oil drain plugs. That's the best way to do it!
Make it a habit of doing this will give you peace of mind. Thanks for watching.

I have 2024 sportage 3,500 miles. I checked the oil today after this video and the level is on low line?
You have to keep the level in between LOW/FULL, the best way to check fluid level is when the vehicle parked overnight. Thanks for watching.
