Welcome to Spirit'ed Wrenchers. Art & Dana here. We're glad you stopped by to follow along on our journey and share some of our passions with us. Our weekly videos will include everything from simple maintenance, small to large upgrades, restomod work, gear reviews, as well as an episode of a highlighted spirit that we'll share the history & tasting of.

Where did you purchase the filters from?
It must be nice living in wide open land like that! The city life sucks lol.
Hi Allyoucaneatmeat. Thanks for watching. We appreciate it. Well, after living in the city for 4 years and living in a subdivision for 21 years, it was a goal of mine to find more privacy and that landed me here. Trade off is that it takes me 45 minutes to an hour to drive to work so it's not all sunshine and roses. It comes down to what matters the most. Cheers!
Very good video. My 2010 Forester just threw the p0420 cat code too. So gonna have to replace it here soon. Doesnt look like itll be too complicated. Unfortunately i dont have a lift but i have some car ramps. Wish me luck lol
Hey hillbilly, thanks for watching! We wish for you all of the luck! As long as you didn't lower your Forester, you should have no problems at all accessing the necessary bolts and plugs to swap out your cat with it up on ramps. Just watch out that you don't hit your head like Art does. ;) We did find the OEM cat to fit the best, but you could probably hammer in an aftermarket if you run into any minor fitment issues. I'm certainly grateful that I don't need to replace a catalytic converter today with prices being what they are because I'd definitely be under there with a rubber mallet banging an aftermarket into place! Good luck, take care, and stay safe!!
@SpiritedWrenchers yeah I'm definitely going aftermarket. My car has 217,000+ miles on it. So she's more than due I'm sure. Not lowered but has the typical N.Y.S rust. So I don't expect it'll be easy by any means haha. Thanks
Is this a Santa Fe with the radar cruise control? I'm wondering if it still fits with the extra sensors up there.
Hi Daniel, thanks for watching and noting this! Yes, our 2022 Santa Fe is equipped with a smart cruise control that utilizes radar. The radar sensor is actually behind the front bumper cover, where the license plate would reside. I can confirm that the Fitcamx does not interfere with the operation of the rain sensing wipers, auto-dim rearview mirror, smart cruise control, or any other feature that they've packed into our Calligraphy trim. Hope this helps; take care and stay safe!
Thank you so much for your very informative video. The instructions for our 12x20 Taus gazebo only had pictures.. and missed several key details. Your gazebo is about identical and your video provided us with the missing details. Thank you!
Hi Tesa. Thank you so much for watching and sharing the kind words. We greatly appreciate it and thankful our video was able to help you solve the mystery so you could get your project done. Cheers!
Is there a change in the dash when going to the 2014 next generation of Forester?
Hi Douglas, thanks for watching and trusting us enough to ask. We do know there was a complete redesign in 2013, including exterior and suspension, but we're uncertain of how much of the internal components shifted between 2012 and 2013. I'd suggest posting this question up in either a Facebook group or Forum to find out for sure. Hope this helps; take care and stay safe!
I did the same with Antique/Grand Reserve 70/30 mix in a glass decanter for the Holidays. Cheers Guys
Thanks for watching and sharing your blend; it sounds absolutely delicious! Cheers and stay safe!

Did this unit offer a backup camera hook up??
HI Douglas. Thanks for watching. I believe it did I chose not to hook it up until we tested the head unit functionality out first. I wanted to avoid running wires to only pull them back out if we didn't keep the HU. Hope that helps.

When I went to the doctor he said my inlet pipe looked similar... I hope your "core" subscribers enjoyed this video!!! Seems like those cores are well named... Often in the core of never-never-land... Lots of good details. Well done! Thanks!!!
LOL. Thanks for watching and the laugh. We appreciate the kind words and you sharing the journey with us.
I had to replace the heater core in my 84 Chevy van this summer. I had to do pretty much what you did except remove the column. It just dropped down. I had no service manual so I just winged it. Took me several evenings after work to get it done. It also gave me the chance to clean all the heating ducts and replace the dash speakers. Not a hard job really just time consuming.
Hi Sheldon. Thanks for watching and sharing. You're spot on. Not a hard job, but the time consumption is a big one. If you don't have patience, it can be pure hell. LOL. Glad to hear you had just a slightly easier job on your van. Because it's all wiring and nuts and bolts, the manual makes it easier on telling you where to look but it's not impossible without it as you discovered. Just takes more time. We're hoping this video will help all of those that don't have the manual as well or run into snags. Cheers!
Wow. What a sizeable project but I guess living in OH makes it worth it in the long run. Especially now that winter is creeping in for you guys. Nicely done and thanks for another funny and educating episode.
Thanks for following along with this project as well. We really appreciate it and yes, the timing for the heat is critical now.
Great video. I want to rewire my 69 C10. I didn’t hear you say anything about the crimpers. They are $200 and I really hate to buy them if I don’t need them. What are your thoughts? Thank you for great and fun content.
Hi Jackhammer. Thanks for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it. That's awesome about your 69. What else are you doing to it? So for the crimpers, I went in on the hype and bought the American Autowire crimpers. I personally wasn't a fan while others sware by them. I ended up using crimpers that a channel sponsor provided. They work fine for me. I still have the Autowire crimpers. If you're interested in them for a serious discount, send me an email. I have no use for them now. Cheers!
Great video. What snorkle are you running? Look great, and do you still like it? Thanks
Thanks John for watching and sharing the kind words. We really appreciate it. It's a Dobinson's 4x4 snorkle. We love it and it's done great on the water crossings we've experienced. Cheers!
How tall are you because I’m 6 foot an idk if I’ll fit
LOL. Yeah, 6ft would be pushing it on these bikes IMO. I'm 5' 6" and 160lbs. Any bigger and I would be very cautious on what terrain you drive on as I'm unsure how the frame will hold up. Truth be told, when I launch it on small jumps, I worry about the frame under my own weight. LOL. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
@ thanks
@@Gunnerg-c7o our pleasure!
I have a 2005 model that I picked up local and in 4 years the motor died ! And the only thing I have left from OEM unit is the air pump I have to replace every thing else in 19 years of use the unit Pump has been great !! and when I replaced the motor with a real 5 Baldor motor with a mag switch and a Eaton 80 gallon tank its been fine Good luck
@johnversluis3084 thanks for watching and sharing. If I can get 19 years out ours, for the money, I'd be happy with that. Especially with the type of work we do. By that time, I'll be too old to work in the shop anyways. Lol. Cheers!

@ThaHulk outstanding. Excellent job!!!!
Excellent thank you!!
Hi Robins2246. Thank you for watching and sharing the kind words. We greatly appreciate it.
Can you keep posting for santa fe! I want to see you doing airflow sensor cleaning as well!
Hi Mr. Jin; thanks for watching and suggesting this! You've reminded me that its a service that should be done periodically, and we happen to have a can of MAF cleaner out in the shop! Keep posted, take care and stay safe!
@SpiritedWrenchers can you clean something else as well? Like throttle body or other sensors that needed to clean periodically? Thank you!
The kit comes with 5amp fuses yet you connected them to 7.5 and 20amp connections on the fusebox, I did the same and the 5amp fuse on the battery 20amp circuit instantly fried the moment the door locks engaged. I dont think this is correct.
@Z33Garage thanks for watching and sharing. Several things could cause a fuse to blow, and I would trace all the wiring to ensure there are no cuts anywhere. We've had zero issues with ours. Hope you're able to figure out the cause.
Thanks for the video, i have a 2010 Subaru Forester, the idle speed is rough once turn on aircon, can I ask how to fix it. Thanks
Thanks for watching and trusting us to ask! This isn't something that we ever encountered in my Forester, but, thinking back on the connection points I'd double check that the stretch belt on the AC compressor pulley is correct. Those belts are not intended to be reused. Beyond that, I wouldn't know where to look. Hope this helps; take care and stay safe!
I know the feeling of having the lift clear after a long stay, it was weird when the 62 Corvette left the shop after a year on the lift.😎 Happy to see the projects progressing!
Yes, I know you have experienced that very same feeling. LOL. It's glorious. Hahahah. Thanks for watching and following along on the journey!
What brand and type oil are you running in it? Just purchased same compressor can’t wait for it to arrive!
Thanks for watching and sharing. We appreciate it. It comes ready to go with oil. No problems with level on ours when received. One the Puma site they list regular compressor oil and theirs is part # 074-SAE-30. There are plenty of options on Amazon for the SAE-30. Hope that helps. Come back and let us know what your thoughts are on it once you have the compressor set up. We're still loving ours in the shop. Cheers!

Can you find those crush washers at the autoparts stores?
Hi William. Thank you for watching and asking. We really appreciate it. I'm not sure they are available at a local parts store. You can pick them up on Amazon though if you shop there or directly from the dealer. They're fairly cheap. Hope that helps.
Great video!! Currently doing this to my C/10. And seeing the beast turn on has given me even more motivation to finish asap!! Once again awesome work and video🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much for watching and sharing the kind words as well as your own journey. Love hearing that. What truck are you working on? What motivated you to do a full rewire?
I have a 71 c10 longbed. Its dropped in the weeds. I took a 3inch pvc pipe from trans to rearend and it would not work unless i notched the cross members that the carrier sat on and the cab. I want to replace the stock carrier with a heavy duty one. Any suggestions on a carrier? 1 that fits factory mounts. Glad you said that was pressed on. Thank you. I just took it all out to upgrade.
Thanks for watching and sharing. We appreciate it. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with a heavy duty one. I bought a new carrier to replace our old one with before deciding to go the 1 piece route. Changing our cross member out really helped ensure we had a large enough hole for the new 1 piece to go through cleanly. I kept the carrier that I bought if you're interested in it. If so, shoot us an email and I'll reply with a pic of it.
I am in the middle of putting one together. I wish I looked at your first video.

sounds like they wanted you to just buy the whole vst so they coached you to replace the whole thing .. you can replace the pump and clean the tank out instead of wasting $400 for a used part you have no idea the condition of i believe i spent less then $100 for pump and the oring gasket
Congratulations on being able to do it for less. I knew the pump I purchased worked and had a warranty so I was not concerned, but we appreciate you sharing your story.

Will you please make a video that shows how to change the tailgate's wiper arm or just the blade? I can't figure it out and don't want to force the arm past the point where it resists. Thanks.
Hi Dave. Thanks for watching and asking we appreciate it. We would typically jump at the chance to make a video to help our viewers out but this one would be so quick, it would take 10x the amount of time to edit it than to do the job. LOL. It's a lot simpler than you think. Send us an email to the gmail in the description. Dana will send you a quick 10-15 second video showing you how to do it. Cheers
Do they only go on those access points?
Hi Eric, thanks for watching and asking! We followed the instructions provided. I'm sure they could slide forward or backward a bit, but, we wouldn't recommend it as we can't say for certain if that would cause any damage to the rails. Hope this helps; take care and stay safe!
I got a vantrue 5 and I definitely recommend video quality is awesome. Just had it installed yesterday.
Thank you for watching and sharing. We hope it turns out well for you. Stay safe out there!
What oil should I use for my 2022 Santa Fe 2.5 L4 NOT turbocharged. I live in Virginia.. so I'm getting mixed responses.. owners Manual says 0W-20, API SN PLUS/SP or ILSAC GF-6 but then I also hear not to get that cause of where I live... any advice? Also I LOVE the video.. right to the point but also detailed. Thanks!!
Hi Luis. Thank you very much for watching, sharing the kind words and asking. We really appreciate it. We strongly recommend asking your local dealer. That's what we did. We talked with the service department to see what they recommend and compared it to our prior services with them to ensure it matched and it did. Hope that helps. Stay safe out there.
He's a natural Michael Scott lol
LMAO. Thanks for watching and sharing in the humor with us. We appreciate it!
Our car shakes when going uphill, accelerating, has the same grease explosion like yours with no tears in the boot. Ours is a 2019 kia sorento. With 60k, I'm throwing an autozone aftermarket in rhere.
Hi Justatool. Thanks for watching and sharing. Crazy that it's gone bad in just 60k miles. Glad you're taking care of it and we hope this video helps you get it done so there is no more shakes. Stay safe out there!
The project is coming along very nicely. Those brakes are looking sweet on it! Keep the updates coming!
Thank you for watching and following along on this fun yet lengthy journey. We appreciate it!
