If I cut my cb alta shaft down .5 or 1 inch, can I use extra weight in head and grip to help get swing weight to where it should be. Or should I only do one or the other???
My Mavriks feel very numb, as in I cannot tell where the clubhead is during my swing. We swing weighed them to D2 thinking that might help but it actually feels the same. Very numb. Would removing that tape and counterbalancing help with this feeling? IIRC, the shafts are 90g S300 if that matters. Thanks
I want to lengthen my g425 graphite irons. I hear they may be counter balanced. If they are. How do I go about lengthening them if there is a weight plug? And what would the id of the shaft be?
So if one wanted to shorten a shaft to play 45" instead of 45.5",it would be more advisable to cut from the tip? How would this affect he shafts performance?
I also dont get it? Adding weight to the butt will move the balance point closer to your hands but you are adding more mass that has to be accelerated in the total system. Counter balance does not "counter" mass... just the balance point?

cutting from the tip will stiffen the shaft

Jack Nicklaus used to put lead tape under his grip. Others have done it too.
What are the downfalls or negatives of a counterbalanced shaft? Only positives listed in this video.
Can you achieve the same affect of a counterbalanced shaft by swapping out for a heavier grip or even adding lead tape, plugs, etc under the grip?

What shafts are counterbalanced?
I use Tensei AV orange which is CB and works for me. I know Hzrdus smoke yellow is CB as ive also owned that..
