  • To make the best, you have to use the best. Project X has teamed up with Hexcel®, a global leader in composites technology for aerospace and military operations, to utilize their HexTow® carbon fibers. Hexcel’s HexTow® carbon fiber represents the highest quality aerospace-grade carbon fiber delivering superior performance on some of the world’s most advanced aircraft.
    Players are always chasing that perfect balance of feel and stability from a golf shaft. Something not too boardy, but not too whippy; the ideal amount of smooth yet stable is the holy grail. With a unique bend profile that strategically changes per flex for player optimization, and the use of Hexcel’s HexTow® carbon fibers, Smoke Blue RDX is a shaft that ticks all these boxes. Smoke Blue RDX is a counterbalanced design that features a soft midsection to maximize shaft load and feel while maintaining a stout butt and tip section to keep up with all swing speeds and provide a stable feel through impact. Smoke Blue RDX is available in a gloss black finish, PVD Blue finish and a limited edition U.S.A. themed PVD Blue version exclusively through Performance Fitting Centers.

    I may just have to demo this shaft. Looks like it makes sense for my swing.

    Sounds like a great shaft for those of us who do not strongly load the shaft at the top or have a fast transition, but who still have a late release. Now we just have to get it offered as a stock shaft in the current new clubheads out there :)

    @True Temper Golf I just got fitted into a HZRDUS Blue RDX 70X in my driver. Are there any differences in materials/shaft profile between the 70X and the 70TX? Also, are there any differences in the shaft profile/materials between the HZRDUS Blue (black colored shaft) and the HZRDUS Blue PVD finish shaft?

  • @yb307

    Thanks for the explanation! I was very interested in this shaft for my driver but what is the difference between the rdx blue black shaft and the rdx blue pvd shaft?

  • @ocke94
    @ocke94 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    OEMs like Cobra and TaylorMade use the black finish of this shaft. There is NO difference to them except for the black vs PVD finish? Many thanks!

    Kenny is the rdx blue black shaft with blue rdx writing the same as the pvd smoke blue ? I assume the only difference is the coating is different

    How does this play vs the Smoke Yellow? Heard it is not as high of balance point, and that it plays stiff to flex, is this accurate? If it plays stiffer than the smoke yellow I have a decision to make on flex that I'm ordering.

    How does it compare to the HZRDUS Smoke Yellow SB considering both are CB-shafts?

  • @Steve-xo2oi

    This seems so close to the yellow, what is the difference in the profile or difference that a golfer would feel between the two?

    Any idea why Taylormade is charging 300$ for the PVD finish vs no up charge black finish in their custom shaft options for 2021? Should be the same shaft, no?

    I have Red AMT in my Titleist irons, what would you recommend for lower launch around the same weight?

    • @scokeing
      @scokeing 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would try the DG105 which is constant mass, not ascending mass like your current shafts, DG105 is a light lower launching shaft.

    So if you play Lz in your irons , this would then be a great compliment in the driver ?
    If you play 6.5 in the irons
    Would a 70 gram 6.5 be a good driver fit then ??

    • @TrueTemperGolf
      @TrueTemperGolf  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Would be a great option if you like that LZ feel! Now, of course, an iron swing and driver swing aren't exactly the same so your driver swing might react differently to a shaft, but as far as profiles go, this will be the most similar to LZ.
      70g 6.5 would be a good fit! Would also recommend looking at the TX potentially if you play 6.5 in your irons.
