  • Helpful info when you have the rear air conditioner system blowing HOT air while the front climate control blows cold. YOU DON’T need the dealer for this easy and quick fix! How to remove the interior panels, A/C blower box assembly and replacement tips to make quick work of repairing a VERY common issue with GM HVAC / AC issues. Suburban Tahoe Denali XL Escalade EXT all have the same issues with blend door actuators, system reset instruction and calibration tips all in one spot!

    Hilarious, we've basically owned all the same vehicles...born in 76. Still working on the 69...has a 02 Z06 in it now. Thanks for the AC video

    Very helpful video. Fixed problem on my 2013 Yukon Denali. (Air not coming out of the rear roof vents). Removing the air ducts allowed me to get to three #20 torx screws that held the upper mode actuator. I used a shallow ratchet with a knurled thumb drive. Bought a generic actuator on Amazon
    $14.00. Took me about an hour.

    I have the same codes but for the rear mode actuator instead. It’s weird that the mode actuator would cause irregular temps out the vent. Sometimes warm and sometimes cold. I would think a bad blend door would cause that erratic activity. Hopefully changing it out will correct my issue.

    Great video my tahoe has the same problem. my only question is are both actuators the same. Ill most likely go with the amazon one shown in the video.

      Yes they are the same and the Amazon ones have worked fine so far!

    2015 Chevy Tahoe had my front condenser replaced and it’s working fine but the rear wasn’t, so they changed the rear evaporator but it didn’t help. I noticed the lines going from front to back are not even cold and no drip from the rear condensation drain. Would a bad actuator cause this?

    I’m having trouble with mine how do I know if it’s the actuator or if my lines are capped? Just bought it off a guy. Front is ice cold back is hot.

      @@lillianellison7176 I would seriously doubt the lines are capped. Pull the cover and see if the actuators move when you change temp settings or get it scanned with a tech 2

    How do you manually clock the rod in the door to line up with the new actuator? Just keep turning it until it lines up?

    • @trbokmro
      @trbokmro  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the door moves freely once you get it aligned in the motor

    Have a 11 escalade esv. Just replaced ac compressor old one clutch was rusted out,, any how i try to recharge it and presure kept on going from low to red high level on ac gauge?? Am im missing something or doing something wrong clutch engages then disengage thats when is go up and down fluctuating??

    • @trbokmro
      @trbokmro  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s normal for a low charge. Pressures go up when disengaged. You should put vacuum to the system before charging it after you open the lines.

      With the low side port under the hood. Front and rear systems share refrigerant and all connect to the compressor.
