AC / Heat Air Not Blowing? Only Some Blower Speeds Working?
These are the two most common symptoms of a blower speed resistor that needs to be changed.
This video will show you how to fix the air not blowing or blower speeds not working by replacing the blower speed resistor on the following Chevrolet models:

Thank You Sir. I shall give it a shot. Have to figure bout who to get it from inexpensively.
You're Welcome!
The exact same thing happened with my 2011 Gmc savana 3500 . Hoping the fix is exactly the same too . Thanks for taking the time…
Ty this was very helpful here to support your page...💙💯
Thanks!
very good and helpful video. thank you!
You're Welcome!
Thank for a great explanation! You made it very easy for me and saved me a lot of work and saved me from breaking costly parts. My issue was no air at any speed so I got back there tested the plug coming from the resistor going to the blower and it had very little to no voltage. Then I ran some jumper wires to the motor with a 12v power wheel battery directly and it worked so that let me know it was 100% a bad resistor. Thank you again!
Literally no one:
Chevy: Shit yeah let's use a 7/32 screw.
7mm
Great video well demonstrated and detailed. Easy to follow, worked like a charm in my 06 Burban
Thanks! Glad it helped
Fuses are all good also
Great video man thank you
You're Welcome!
So mine turns on and off randomly so I’m assuming the blower motor might be getting stuck? If it was the resister would the fan blow at all?
Rear speed resistor replaced with new. I tested fan by itself that works. The new resistor clicks when I plug the 4 prong in and out.??
my front control stopped working on the rear air on my 2002 suburban LT. I have a different control module which I just replaced. I can control the temp and fan speed with the rear air control in the back seat, but no control on the front controller for the rear. If I swap out the rear air resistor will it solve problem?
I don't think that will help if everything works as normal when using the controls in the back seat. Sounds like it may be an issue with the front controls themselves
Front and rear control are the same (actual piece itself)? Looking to purchase new ones. Thanks and thanks again for sharing
No - they are different. You will need the specific resistor for front or rear
@@PYR-Auto I was referring to the overhead control panels. Not the resistors. You were clear, brother. Def appreciate the video and returned response. Continued success on your channel 👍🏾
Unfortunately if this isn’t the issue, the part store won’t give you a refund on the part.
Not sure if im getting power to resistor
So when there is no motor blowing at all and fuse is ok the first thing is the rear resister then?
It could be the blower motor as well but yeah a bad resistor can behave that way.
My rear heat isn't working, blower is fine? Anyone know?
What if I don’t have heat in the rear?
Lol.
Still need help
New blower motor
But for the front
Only getting cold air
Not all vents blows equal or none at all
Deforstrr only work in center
If get warm air it from driving over an hour or barely hot air
Rear only cold air and number 2 for the rear selectors
Front actuator blender on passage side wohavent check anything else
New coolant not flush
All valves are good
The intake valve and return to the heater core do get hot not sure what tempatur
Not sure if it's the heater core
One of the accurate
The switch
Or my raditor
I replied that and the rear still doesn’t blow, fuses are good, blower fan is good. What else is there to replace?
If the resistor, the blower and the fuses are all good for the rear then I don't know
I have no power to that resistor.
I replaced it an no power to it
Still didn't work ?
