    That big red plant at 4:37 is a Red lotus.
    I have a similar one called drawf red lilly
    Awesome Mate! At 8:33 is my tank. Your awesome and yes my plan was to breed them as I had 4 peas total but these paired off and I didn't want aggression.
    And its Dwarf sagittaria the long grass like plant

      That’s so cool you could have yourself a breeding pair. Fingers crossed!

    128 litres equals 33.814 gallons. Thank you so much for this video and all of the ideas it provides. I'm currently planning out my Pea Puffer kingdom in a heavily planted aquarium, with CO2, a black aqua soil substrate, and with Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina heteropoda) as tankmates. I want to get a colony of these established before adding the pea puffers. I'm deciding on an aquarium now, my others are occupied.

      Annalee No problem. Your set up sounds brill! Seeing more and more peas in with neocardinia shrimp. Didn’t think it could be done but clearly it can work with enough shrimp to withstand being picked off every so often.
      Heavily planted is the best way to go in my opinion. You will see their natural behaviour, curiosity really comes out and it’s mesmerising to watch. Enjoy setting up your tank!

    Did you really just say they have pea puffers housed with a snail?

    • @peapufferkingdom118
      @peapufferkingdom118  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Laura Awesomesauce Yes. Nerite snail. Their footprint is actually almost completely covered by the shell so the peas can hardly get to it and end up ignoring it in my experience. Probably wouldn’t try other snails though or it would be death by a thousand cuts!

      I have a breeding group in a tank with 8 or 9 nerites..a million malaysian trumpets and a billion pond snails...its no problem as the lil buggers enjoy the small snails...given a choice....they are fine ...you cowards...or ill informed...

      They are likely too big to be eaten by pea puffers

    Do you still have amano shrimps in your tank as I cant see any in your later videos

    • @peapufferkingdom118
      @peapufferkingdom118  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      burrell755 Hey. No unfortunately when treating the peas for Internal Parasites using Sera Nematol I had to keep them separate and the died after a few days in a much smaller tank. Gutted as even though they are messy they’re also awesome to watch zip around the tank.

      Pea puffers and amano shrimp are fine...healthy amanos are big and faster than any puffer..also 3 times the size...

      @@peapufferkingdom118 Treating for internal parasites? Where did you get your puffers? Ive a big healthy colony of them and have never treated them for anything other than being ill fed and poor water quality...its very simple...feed them and make sure the water is good. The old days of having to treat puffers with wormer etc has gone...they arent wild caught anymore...if yours are id report your supplier...theyre hardy wee buggers...so dont make it sound as if its difficult...it isnt..

      Anta- verse If you are on Facebook join ‘Pufferfish Enthusiasts Worldwide’ , ‘Pea Puffer Owners’ or ‘Dwarf Puffers’. There will be Canadians on those groups who might be able to help. 👍🏻
