I still remember seeing a photo of myself and noticing the sun bouncing off the side of my head where my hair was thinning. Old Minoxidil for men did it for me, and it's also giving me thicker brows and eyelashes. And yes, it was 100% stress, and now I'm finally leaving the source of the stress. I'm so glad your hair is coming back thick and luscious. Go team curly!

I’ve lost pretty much half of my hair. It was falling really bad. For years I've tried so many vitamins and tonics. Nothing was working. One day I was using my foreo bear and decided to try it on my scalp and I was amazed by it. The same day I notice that less hair was falling. Now I'm barely losing hair and it’s growing so much faster.

I’m 48 yrs old and have decided to purchase elite helmet ($600 off)
    Still very expensive
    3k Canadian dollars
I have started 5% minoxidil at night (foam)
As well as pills called REGROW by a Dr. Kate
I added a hair care brand called Virtue to my routine as well
    The recovery line
I am also waiting on a wig by Belle Tress

So I recently brought ordinary products- niacinamide +zinc, alpha arbutin, blue copper aminoisolate, resveratrol 3%+folic 3% ,multiple peptide eye serum, Aha+bha peeling solution. So at present am doing 1-2 time peel per week . After peel I use niacinamid and another days I use niacinamide first and others (copper, alpha arbutin, resveratrol any one of these alternatively ) and I want to use oil with this because in past I have use daily facial oil and my skin liked it but don't know in which combination I can use oil with these can you suggest. For me, I agree with you regarding building a habit due to the consistency of doing it everyday for a shorter period of time with the black one. I very often confuse which day I’ve used the white one. The black one is just so expensive, it’s off-putting. Then again, so was the white one originally… Took me 2 years to buy it too.

abt two thirds of my hair fell out my senior year in highschool bc of the mood stabilizer i was on. sadly, ive tried 90+ different psychiatric meds, that was the only one that ever worked for me. i had to stop taking it bc i was literally losing handfuls of hair any time i remotely touched my hair. that was the worst feeling in the world, i was a senior in highschool, i had prom i had graduation coming up, i remember having s*x w a guy n he asked if my hair was falling out bc even he noticed it when touching my hair. so so mf embarrassing. so disheartening that the first med that ever worked for me, in the 10 years i had alr been w a psychiatrist trying to medicate my mental, just so happened to also make my hair fall out. it wasn’t even a common, or rare, side effect of it. i’m so grateful it fell out all over, not in patches, bc i was at least able to just cut it shorter and still look pretty for my prom n graduation pics. my hair has been such a huge part of me forever, ive pretty much always had it long enough its down to my bellybutton, hair loss rlly did completely flip my world upside down for a while. it was a pretty intense mood stabilizer too, i couldn’t just stop taking it, i had to taper off it n onto another. that took several months, i really did lose two thirds / three quarters of my hair. then once i was completely off that med it still took another 6 months for it to get out my system (it was lipophilic ? it gets stored in ur fat) and for me to stop noticing hair falling out. here’s the plus side tho- it turned my hair curly ! i used to have stick straight hair, now it’s sooo curly !!! i genuinely love it :) it’s been 4 years since then, my hair is back to its normal thickness, the ends are still thinner from it, but it’s rlly hard to notice now. the curls stayed too :) i used to take my hair for granted, i had no idea what a blessing hair is, how much my hair boosts my confidence, how it relates directly to me feeling like “myself.” it was SO hard senior year, bc i just didn’t look like myself. i’d look in the mirror n forget abt my hair n all of a sudden b reminded. all this taught me a very important lesson abt confidence needing to come from inside me, not from what i look like. n overall, im so happy i went thru everything, i LOVE my curls :)

Do you know if your hair loss is Covid related? My part has obviously widened and I have sparseness around my hairline and it seemed to all happen after Covid (though I did notice some extra shedding pre Covid; but then again I may have had Covid more than the once and just didn’t realize). Hi! I’ve been following your hair journey for a while!
I too, am trying to work on my hair health and growth.
I recently came across the Blow Out Professor on TH-cam. I’m curious if you’d be willing to try some of his recommendations?
I’m looking at trying them myself soon since I can’t afford these helmets you’ve been using..
He states working on your overall hair health first will then help with the growth in the long run.
Of course everyone is different, your mileage may vary but I thought of you after watching his videos!

I got one of the older ones (new, but an old model) on amazon for about 600$ CAD. I’ve been really enjoying it. Its still the 25 min per two days but honestly I use it more than that? idk if there’s a problem with using it every day but i haven’t had any issues with that, I feel the warmth but it’s never painful. I do wish I can upgrade to the elite one because I have a lot of thinning on the temples and a receding hairline and apparently the design on the elite helmet covered more of those areas.
But I’m pretty happy with the growth I’ve had now, even my hairdresser apropos of nothing asked me out of the blue “did you have hair loss a while back? I seen a bunch of new hair growth.” I was so extremely happy with my collection of baby hairs that are a completely different length than everything else on my scalp lol.

Do you have any thoughts about the irestore essential? It is the $500 model. I think it is half the diodes of the Pro. I have not found any research which differentiates the models. I bought a second hand igrow from ebay for $100. I just cannot justify those prices. I have been using it for two months. I am also on minoxidil for 4 months which is likely responsible for the minor regrowth. all that hair growth you had is quite exciting. happy for you :)

I think it’s the same one Angie from Hot & Flashy uses and recommends. I bought one based on her review.
UPDATE: I was wrong. The one Angie uses and recommends is the Hairmax Laser band. You move it over your head to get all the areas you want. She did a lot of research on the type of light, number of lights, use, etc and said it was the best product for the price. If I remember correctly she said there is a max usage so even if you have more lights and use more often your hair will only respond to a certain level. I bought mine during the Amazon Black Friday sale and saved around 60%.

I'm thinking maybe that's what I should have purchased because if your problem is just right at the top of your head or crown of your head then that's all you need to focus on. Now if you have a diagnosis that indicates that something may spread, then you might want something larger to use as a preventative measure

@@vhvhhvcy1780 Platelet-Rich Plasma. It’s a process where they take your own blood, process it in some way… I believe platelets, plasma, are extracted from the blood to create a “serum” of some sort that is then injected back into the patient’s body (affected area) to help in healing. Not a great description, but it gives you a general idea. Since it’s your own blood your body shouldn’t reject it. It’s like you helping to heal yourself. I first heard of it for years with regard to sports medicine, being used to assist in the regeneration and healing of muscles and tissues, I think even bones (?)… Then it started to be discussed in relation to hair loss. I don’t believe it necessarily works for everyone, but the medical community is learning more every year. My doctor says the results for hair loss may be temporary for some people and you may have to do it again every few years. It depends upon why you have hair loss, so it’s really important to isolate that and to get it under control.

Excuse me for saying this so openly, but why don't you save yourself all that money and massage your scalp twice a day with aloe vera? In addition, apply a mixture of rosemary, clove and castor oil twice a week and your hair will grow again. You live vegan, why not apply pure nature to your scalp? Maybe it's because of my German mentality, but I would never put on such a helmet - nature offers so much here.....

Listen I know it’s so controversial, it doesn’t destroy hair. In order to grow new hair your scalp has to shed old, unwanted hair.
