can you do a video about Hairestart? that laser is only recommended every other week for a short while and then once every 4 months. and can you talk about benefits of doing lasers for beard growth?
Do you recommend lasers + LED or laser only? Brands like Capillus and Theradome claim laser only is the most effective bc LED light disperses and doesn't penetrate.
Kindly make a video on lifestyle changes (diet, exercise etc.) you'd like to recommend for those suffering from hairloss. That'd be very helpful coming from you two. Thanks.
@@matta8359 There's a reason I didn't ask from an online troll but from doctors. "Healthy" means a million things and there are specifics to be talked about. Sit down.
@@jiteshjaggi6504 not really, it's just getting about 150 mins of steady state cardio per week, optimizing your sleep, minimizing your stress, eating a nutrient dense diet with adequate protein and healthy fats, keep away from processed foods and ensure you're getting enough potassium and magnesium to offset sodium, which shouldn't be overdone but also shouldn't be avoided, blood work is the only surefire way to tell if you're deficient in any micronutrients so consult with your doc. Healthy relationships and social life are essential for happiness, and resistance training a couple times a week is tremendous for bone density and general health. Hi docs. Please do recommendations good brands for LLLT caps. I'm not sure which one I should get, given the cost i want to make sure I'm getting a right one that works. Please help.
People with full heads of hair can still get sunburn on their scalp. You'd be amazed how easy light gets to the scalp. Getting light through to the scalp would be just as easy with LLLT.
@@BigDaddyJinx That's because sunburn is caused by UVB-rays, which are 280-320nm. It does not mean that it applies for LLLT (600-1000nm) as well. Further, the dose (number of photons) is an important parameter. By the way, hair offers some relevant sun protection, just not as much as good sunscreen and sun protective clothing like a hat, depending on the material.
Can cheaper hair cap systems be worthwhile? I understand the increased number of laser diodes can have a greater more efficient effect. However, it appears the cap systems which possess an increased number of diodes simply recommend less frequent treatments, with less time for each treatment. Can a cap system with less diodes make up the difference through more frequent, and longer treatments as they often recommend? In other words, can cheaper systems be as effective for the more budget conscious, or is the effectiveness reduced to such a level that it would be wiser to invest in a more expensive system with more diodes?
Hi guys, I have looked at the irestore as it has some good reviews. Is this something you could or are able to endorse? The reason I ask is that it is ‘lot of money and more importantly time to lose on the wrong product. Thanks again for your very well covered and reassuring videos.
John Dupont hi I didn’t get the iresore i got a second hand capillus cap off eBay, I’ve been using it for 3 mo this and guess what! It works. Honestly I have thicker hair, my fringe has started to get sort off fluthy hair at the side, and it feels thicker when I’m washing it. It is so far so good, I’m hoping it keeps getting thicker, my wife is sceptical hair dressser, and even she is impressed. Thank for asking
Do you guys know much about LLLT and Micro needling? Think in Japan or somewhere in Asia they are getting ready for a new study with micro needling 1.5mm and right after they use LLLT.
I would buy this in an instant. But the only thing that’s making me sit on the fence with this is the need for ongoing use. It’s said by users that it’s like Minoxidil, where if this improves your situation… once you stop, not only does the gains stop but it will decline, meaning you will lose all progress you’ve gained and back to how you started after stopping. I guess that’s a bit like bodybuilding, you gain but then you lose the muscles and return to your original state when the weights stop. Would’ve been nice if one can retain the hair gained if you stop treatment… but I guess that would be regarded as a “cure” .. which there isn’t a cure for hairloss at the moment :(
Use Rosemary Essential oil, mix it with tretinoin. I got hair I didn't know I had (I am a girl by the way). But i didn't dilute it, so do it at your own risk.
@Thomas Soler Do you know what wavelength it is? Btw I just bought a hairpro laser helmet. I have a tiny birthmark on my head, do you know if it is safe to use the laser?
I hope you'd answer me. My LLLT helmet's specifications are: laser count 80. wavelength 678nm. power input 100-240v 50Hz/60Hz. power output 5V dc / 1.5A. operation temperature 60-90 F, RH 80% This is what it says on the box, is it good?
Very interesting and informative and would be interested in purchasing one but it's a bit of a minefield out there in terms of trying to choose a decent one so I would have liked to have seen a selection of ones you've tested and would recommend?
Hi I also did . I probably am paranoid but the one I had was 678nm and the power out put was 1.5A / 5V . I get concerned that what if it is ablasive and Act as hair removal laser . Which one did you get ?
Does anyone know the model they use in the video at 10:58? "HairPro" seems a little generic, and I am hoping to find the exact brand they're giving to their own patients specifically!
Doc, I am looking for a response from you. Does that cap stimulate your edges? The demonstration cap doesn't cover your edges. Which type do you sell? Once again we listened to you can you be polite and answer some of your subscribers questions? Thank you.
These laser caps/hats are a total scam. They use standard red LEDS, not LASER diodes. Notice that in the ads or commercials that not a single person is wearing any eye protection to prevent retinal damage. In other words, the light is not from a LASER (coherent light) and not intense enough to do any good or more importantly, any harm. If you truly want to see if you get any benefit from red laser therapy, buy a RED laser pointer for about $5 and use it on a small region of your bald spot. I would be willing to bet, you will not notice any results even after a month of use. BTW - Even a 5 mW laser can cause eye damage depending on duration of exposure, so handle with care.
A major problem with "cap" devices is that the hair is not moved out of the path of the laser, and thus the latter irradiates primarily hair-shafts, with relatively less effect on scalp-follicles.
@@noonseen2017 with the band you can move hair away. And you move the band every 90sec (depending on the device). I use mine 6 weeks. Need to wait 3-6 months to be able to talk about how it works. Hopefully it will be an alternative to minoxidil
I think get a omg laser helmet thats what I use just started a week ago.. his helmets are alot more but definitely more powerful.. look him up overmachogrande.. but what I'm doing now is 30 mins laser then rite after going to the mirror use a dermroller then wait 5 mins and apply minox..
Thanks for all the confirmation, I should have done that at first sign of thinning instead of minox/fin cocktail. I ultimately stopped fin due to sides and thinning/baldness accelerated. I don't have full mpb or spot, but a weird area to the right, where I probably have concetrated minox most (making me think it caused it). a transplant place keeps on me and offers the cap, but I said I was probably too late, so I sent photos and 'the doctor says you're not too far gone.'....You just verified that I was right. My other concern is the quality of the lasers (probably the difference between $300 and $1000 units. It's called LLLT, yet you and everyone mentions LEDs, I don't want to pay for a $2 bike light and think it's doing something. I'd rather just keep my bike helmet on...
@@Somkatoozi Ok Because I tried buying the laser cap they used in this video, just wish they would tell the exact site to buy it from, so I make sure to get the legit hairlasercap. I have beeing using 1-restore laser helmet for 1 years then switching to this laser cap 3 months ago, so 15 months total. I think it thickens the hair more or less, but is is no miracle. Propecia and minoxidil is far superior.
@@TravelWithTea8 yes you are right. I believe these helmets and caps are kind of a hit or miss with most people. But I dont think from the looks of it, it will do a lot. But at the end of it if even helps about %20 or so it could be worth it. From my research it seems finasteride combined with other methods like minoxidil and Micro needling is for sure more beneficial
Since LLLT is a stimulation therapy like Minoxidil, does this mean it will only be effective for so long, as it does not tackle the root of the problem (i.e. DHT)?
The only thing that I’ve seen peer review publication showing that actually works at thickening and regrowing hair is micro needling used with topical minoxidil. All of the other people involved in the study without adding the minoxidil showed no progress or response from the treatment. I just started using derma stampwith minoxidil. if I have a good response from it, I will certainly post it online for others here on TH-cam for others to see.✌️ by the way, I am in no way compensated for sharing my testimony on any of this.
That was a really good tip, towards the end, about catching hair loss early with these sort of treatments, or they will not have a shot at being effective
I’ve seen laser bands that claim only 90 sec 3x/week is their treatment recommendation. Like the HairMax LaserBand 82. They say the lesser treatment time is due to the fact that the device has a comb that actually parts the hair out of the way so it can reach the scalp, so less time needed. Do you believe this is substantiated?
Laser only as they didn’t mention led as an alternative because they do nothing. The led light is highly diffused and will not penetrate anything. The laser which is focused will penetrate the skin, .As always, don’t just listen to some random guy on the internet though, if what I said seems like it might be true to you then I suggest you look into it further and confirm with multiple sources
I’ve done this and my hair has thickened. I’ve used the cap only and didn’t notice the same effect as micro needling paired with cap treatment 3 times a week. I typically do a quick role over my scalp before each cap treatment.
Been on finasteride 1mg + minoxidil 5mg tablet for 10 months now with good effect, no more hair loss. So im guessing the cap must be working?
I just got an Illumiflow which looks just like the one shown. I took a quiz on their website beforehand to see if I was a good candidate and scored a 6 for the extent of my balding, age, etc. which is significant balding. The assessment still said I was a good candidate. I guess they were probably stretching the truth, though I have seen reviews from people with my similar balding pattern who got some growth. I guess I might as well try it for a few months since Illumiflow says they will honor the guarantee/return policy.

Laser diode is a laser diode. As long as it has good coverage, number of diodes, go with the cheaper. At most maybe you have to wear it a little longer if diodes are not as powerful. I made my own for 60$. The diodes are as good if not better than a lot of commercial hats out there.

@@kcalderon03 Hi there. It did help make my hair softer and fall out a bit less. I’ve heard people say it makes it thicker as well. I did see some improvement but Im not 100% sure if it was due to the Irestore cap. It might be worth a try but I wouldn’t expect miracles. Hope that helps.

@@frankiehynes9547 Hello, yes I m still happy with the Irestore Pro. I still use it every other day for 25minutes. There are times I forget about it. But the first year you should really use it every 2 days.I really got fuller hair and it filled the sparse areas. Last year I got covid I lost a lot of hair due to high fever but now with the irestore I can see how it regrows again. But the results for me are not dramatic like I didnt went from my low density hair to the fullest amount of hair but I think it really depends on your type of hair loss. For me the results are good as I have a thyroid hormonal problem so I think for people with androgenic hair loss or due to stress it should be more effective than with a thyroid problem. Oh and my husband uses it also with ne his results are better cause he does not have a medical problem its just to prevent hair loss and he got really full hair with it

@@jiteshjaggi6504 I stand by my comment. It's so obvious.
Easy peasy once you've done a little research on some of these subjects, I'd recommend some Andrew Huberman for happiness tools, Rhonda Patrick for nutrient info, mike Israetel or Jeff nippard for fitness related questions.

I am wondering how a cap is going to work unless you cut your hair extremely short? Otherwise, how is the light going to reach the scalp?
The goal is heating the scalp, not tanning it.
@@RedditGrapevine what
People with full heads of hair can still get sunburn on their scalp.
Can cheaper hair cap systems
be worthwhile?

Hi, did you have laser therapy cap?

Do you know if the irestore laser helmet is worth buying?
Is Theradome a good one ? Any experience with that here ?

No, there are two types. Standard LED and lasers. Lasers are better.
Best foods for hair growth ?
A major problem with "cap" devices is that the hair is not moved out of the path of the laser, and thus the latter irradiates primarily hair-shafts, with relatively less effect on scalp-follicles.
I was just thinking about that. I thought the comb made more sense but the doc said it's the least effective (possibly because of patient compliance)
@@noonseen2017 with the band you can move hair away. And you move the band every 90sec (depending on the device). I use mine 6 weeks. Need to wait 3-6 months to be able to talk about how it works. Hopefully it will be an alternative to minoxidil

Can you mix micro needling and laser therapy? Or is that too much for the skin?
I hear that studies or going mixing with both Micro & laser therapy.

Since LLLT is a stimulation therapy like Minoxidil, does this mean it will only be effective for so long, as it does not tackle the root of the problem (i.e. DHT)?
Yes

Would heat build up in the cap be good because it helps bring blood to the scalp, if it doesn't bother you?
its the leds that emit less light in a high ambient temperature environment.

Does the amount of laser matter in these caps? Is more really better ?
How will you know they are using high quality diodes?
Thanks
So u buy the cap. How long u should use it before changing the diode lamps. Where u can buy replacement lamps?
That was a really good tip, towards the end, about catching hair loss early with these sort of treatments, or they will not have a shot at being effective
I’ve seen laser bands that claim only 90 sec 3x/week is their treatment recommendation. Like the HairMax LaserBand 82. They say the lesser treatment time is due to the fact that the device has a comb that actually parts the hair out of the way so it can reach the scalp, so less time needed. Do you believe this is substantiated?
I am not a big fan of the combs. 90 secs x3 per week sounds a little too good to be true.....
I'm confused. Some caps are all lasers, some are all LED, and some are a mix of the two. Which kind has the best results?
Laser only as they didn’t mention led as an alternative because they do nothing. The led light is highly diffused and will not penetrate anything. The laser which is focused will penetrate the skin,
.As always, don’t just listen to some random guy on the internet though, if what I said seems like it might be true to you then I suggest you look into it further and confirm with multiple sources
