LG Direct Drive washing machine WM2301HR making noise... rotor position sensor failed $15 fixed!

  • When I plugged it in after sitting dormant for a few months after a move the digital readout initially said LE which states for motor locked. eventually the drum turned bit made awfull noises
    that sound like wiped bearings, but is actually caused by the motor control board missing it's feedback from the hall effect sensor.
    as you will see, this washer is a robust machine, the bearings are fine and the motor control board is working, otherwise the drum would not spin at all ..
    somehow the hall effect sensor failed...and with a little observation...and a few sockets, the washing machine is fixed and back to peak operating condition.

    Hola amigo. Buen video, bien explicado. Es como enseñarle a un niño cuántas son 2+2. Gracias. Me ha servido de mucho, pues he reparado mi lavadora sin muchos calentamientos de cabeza.Un saludo: 🤝

    Yea, definitely a driver issue, sounds like it is fighting against itself. (Felt it that way after looking deeper into the title/description of the video) 🤣🤣🤣😂

    Could it bee that the dampings are kinda broken?
    Because it shouldn't swing that strong.

    • @SundryTalesOfConstance79WESTY
      @SundryTalesOfConstance79WESTY  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a good comment. It is an old washer and would probably benefit from new dampers. I will look them up and maybe do a video of replacing them. Thank you again, I really appreciate your advice :)

    Also did you keep the foam plug to put back in for moving? Manual says to keep that foam plug so it doesn’t move all over the place

    • @SundryTalesOfConstance79WESTY
      @SundryTalesOfConstance79WESTY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately no foam plug for the move...I honestly never though I would have to move it. I still need to go back in and check all the stabilizers for proper connection and/or damage. I appreciate you commenting and reminding everyone to keep that foam plug just in case. Cheers 😎 STOC

    Spider arm connected to the drum is broken or cracked it needs to get replaced seeing the manufacturing date on the outer drum in the back it’s already 13 years old the spider arm corrodes and breaks from the detergent and water most if not all front load washer are like this!

    • @A24hype
      @A24hype 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      all what you said is fake, there's no problems with spider. it was just the hall sensor problem 😐😐

      If the arm is corroded its because theres a leak in the machine, youll see much more rusting when he opens it up.

    Bad bearing brother. that model is one of the worst for that happening and your machine is missing a shock absorber on the rear side.
