I think it's interesting that many of these bands were also on the "Most Overrated" list. I never thought about it before, but I suppose it's possible for a band to be both. Music is subjective. No need to mindlessly praise or condemn a group. Just let them be.
Dude listen, I fucking love AC/DC, I've been listining to them since I was a baby, but theyre not metal. Sabbath - metal, Priest - metal, Maiden - metal, AC/DC - Hard Rock. Theyre still fucking amazing though, theyre just Hard Rock, not metal
the only problem that I have about baby metal is that they are not a real band. they are a show band, i dont know them, but i doubt they write or compose their own music. they are just like one of those pop performers, kmetal idk wtf people would call them but they are definetely not a legit metal band. but whatever just not my type of music entertainment when it comes to metal
Yes they are more of an show/act than an actual band. And the girls have only written one of their own songs by themselves and say they will have a bigger role in writing and composing songs when they know more about metal. But that's no reason to have a problem with them. If you like them or their music, feel free to support them, who cares what others think. Entertainment is entertainment regardless of how the music was produced. Life is too short to be narrowing your preferences to only artists who write all of their own music by themselves because you'll miss out on so much other great music out there. Take a look at orchestras who don't compose their own music but are still crazy talented and play brilliant pieces. Ozzy Osbourne barely writes any of his own music either.
Well said. Seen them twice. They put on the best overall "show" I've seen and they're heavy live. The sound is great live unlike a lot of other bands that sound like shit live.
Babymetal's hate is injustified. Every single reason I've heard is dumb, and not because it is my favourite band, it just is. They only have two discs and yet they have Progressive Metal, Heavy Metal, Ska, Folk, Metal Ballad, Nu-Metal, Metal with J-Pop, Metal with Rap, Metal with Electronic Music, Metal with Dubstep, Death Metal. You name it. And the people who hates them they only listen to one song and that's it. They have so much stuff it is almost impossible to not relate with something.
Ely Gallego Annoying cheesy vocals? Personal taste I guess, but then again, not every song is like that, not even the majority TBH. And that's why you have to listen to the whole product. They need to listen to Rondo Of Nightmare, Akatsuki, No Rain, No Rainbow, Ijime Dame, Zettai, The ONE, and I can keep going. Su-Metal is getting real recognition and is now on tops on best female metal vocalists, at age 18. That's damn impressive to say the least.
I heard both albums. And while I understand what people like about them, I still can't stand them. It all seems so gimmicky to me. In fact do gimmicky, it makes me cringe. It's so different just to be different. I hate that shit. It's dumb and pretentious
Name one song where they have progressive metal, Id like to hear it. For me the problem with them is also the vocals. It makes me really cringe. Its just something that doesnt fit there. As someone said earlier, its different just to be different, not becouse its artistic or personal. After all their band sounds just forced, and I cant enjoy the music. But then again Ive heard only few songs
the way I look at it, if I don't like it I won't listen to it and I won't say anything of it, and if I do like it then dammit I'm gonna listen to it, just because I don't like the way a band sounds doesn't mean I'm gonna hate the band and personally I'm a fan of a few bands on this list: five finger death punch, avenged sevenfold, slipknot, and metallica
They deserve hate, but the point of the list is that they are overhated. Have they made mistakes? Yes. But let the records and live shows speak for themselves. They aren't that bad. Unfortunately its just the cool thing to hate Metallica.
I agree with hating on post-black album Metallica. But of lot of tryhard "extreme" metalheads even hate on classic era Metallica which annoys the shit out of me. In their prime Metallica was amazing (Kill Em All through Master of Puppets; some of and Justice For All).
Yeah...the Intro to 'Karate' for example is really good! Then the Vocals start and ruin it...the main vocalist isn't even that bad...but...not Metal enough...
I don't know how people gate so Metallica so much. No matter what they decide to do, there will always be 4 absolutely perfect albums backing them up, something that almost no other thrash band can say for themselves.
I respect any Metal band but what makes my blood fucking boil is these bands that dress like pretty boys like they're in a boy band... This making their fanbase absolute cancerous... It's basically what's ruined the metalcore genre... A few bands that could be named are Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria and Bring me the Horizon...
I'm really glad to see that five finger death punch is in fact getting a fuck of a lot of hate as you say. I've only ever found people who like them and thought I was alone in hating them. Actually, they deserve more hate overall. They are fucking horrible and give metal a bad name. The few of us who actually love metal need to make it known that they are a piece of shit band that needs to fucking die.
Slipknot's sound has definitely changed over time. Of course their second album, their self titled, was clearly nu metal, however their later stuff incorporated elements of thrash, heavy, and some even say death metal (in Iowa). I personally love them and their sound although of course not everyone can agree
Nr.10 - there is not really reason why to hate on them, there are reasons why to dislike their music, but not to hate Nr.9 - Ac/dc - I do myself hate sound of the band, i do like Sabbath, Maiden, Zeppelin, but cant get over ac/dc but it is just hate of the sound not the band Nr.8 - Opeth - Again there is not a reason why to hate on the band, their early material is amazing and if you dont care about their newer output just dont listen to it Nr.7 - Slipknot - I get people dont enjoying the over simplicity, but there are reasons why to like them, Vocals, plus they were amazing at shows and were pretty decent songwriters, i dont care about the gimmick Nr.6 - there is really good reason why to hate on bands like AA cause the band has no talent - they are just taking ideas of others throwing cringy lyrics on it plus their music is pretty much pop with core vocal estetique. Plainly bad music. I can get over many of new metalcore like BMTH, Bullet for my valentine etc. But attila or AA HELL NO. Nr5 - Avenged sevenfold - Yeah i never got this one, even though, i do not listen to the band, i think they are doing some decent music, plus their singer seems to have just perfect voice. But their fans are fucking dumb Nr.4 - FFDP - again this is just unnecesary, yes the band is super generic, but i actually whink their first album wasn't that bad, they are not bad musicians or persons Nr3 - Dream theater - i wouldn't consider them getting much hate. I have never been fan of their music even at their best i was more into porcupine tree type of prog Nr.2 - I get this one kinda, because they started making music changes that are little bit cringeworthy. But overall meh Nr.1 - I always hated metallica's music, all of my friends were so much into metallica, while i was still listening to my Sabbath at the time
+coverkillernation it's funny you call ac/dc metal yet see led zep as not belonging. i grew up thinking that 3 bands really forged the heavy metal of the later years. sabbath for pretty much everything, but namely the atmosphere and the sound. led zep for the heaviness (think of all their harder riffs, you can't help banging your head), and deep purple for the virtuosity. all 3 bands started in the 60's, and sowed the seeds of what would become unequivocally metal in the 70's. for me, ac/dc is very very good, but i always saw them as hard rock... wait, devil horns, girls, 20 minute solos? nevermind, they prepared the ground for glam (them and kiss). took some thinking, but i see your point. (the last part was said in jest, before i get hate and corrections, except for seeing the point. that was true).
true, but my point stands. if i remember tony iommi's autobiography, they formed in 67 and started doing the touring circuit before getting enough money to record. once that record was out, all hell broke loose, in part because of the afore-mentionned zep and purple, and possibly of steppenwolf's "born to be wild", with the phrase "heavy metal thunder". normally a reference to a high-powered engine, now a reference to a sound born (in my opinion) in the foundries of birmingham.
I can't really imagine Led Zep as being metal though. The only one of their songs I can really understand might be early metal is "Achilles Last Stand".
Michael Edwards Nah, they had some pretty straight forward heavy metal songs, and they incorporated heavy guitar even in some of their tracks that had really different combinations of styles. It's sorta like Queen. Zeppelin are really a versatile band that kinda did everything, it wouldn't be fair to pigeon hole them into just one genre or to exclude them from a genre, especially one that was booming in the 70's. Like I said, same goes for Queen. Thin Lizzy too.
Can only see a few of their songs being metal tbh. Black Dog, Dazed and Confused, Kashmir, The Immigrant Song... can't think of any more off the top off my head. Sabbath and AC DC were always pretty heavy and lyrically dark or crazy balls to the wall.
About Babymetal and the "it's metal, no it's not metal" argument; Su-Metal commented that people ask her if they are metal or pop/idle and she said they are neither. They are Babymetal. So there you have it. Argument over.
Deafheaven isn't here?? But those guys get loads of hate, and it's just because no-one can decide what subgenre that they belong to! I also kind of expected to see Six Feet Under on here, but I guess that's understandable. I really don't like Six Feet Under. Or Attila.
Deafheaven is also super critically acclaimed for both Sunbather and New Bermuda. I think they are hated by black metal fans for not being brutal enough or for looking like hipsters. I think once people give their music a chance with an open mind, they may like it. I call Deafheaven a blackgaze band because they really are combining elements from black metal and shoegaze.
+Ocean Sage that's one of the reasons why people hate Deafheaven. They call it Hipster Metal and they combine Black Metal with Shoegaze. Black Metal fans don't like Black Metal combined with Showgaze and Showgaze fans don't like Showgaze combined with Black Metal. (As someone told me)
Yo Ck, you should list the background songs you use during each video in your descriptions. Itll help introduce a lot of people to new music and bands which is often a goal of some of your videos. Metallica are so overhated. Lots of people hate death magnetic? Its a great thrash metal album! Isn't that what you wanted? Load reload and even stranger had some great songs on even if they weren't all thrash. Eg. Frantic, unforgiven 2, fixxxer, until it sleeps, unnamed feeling, Ronnie and invisible kid
Super Saiyan Because of the stupid comment you made *which is now deleted but I remember some parts*. First of all he doesn't have to respect shit, just because you and many other acdc fans can't accept that people have different opinions doesn't mean they need to keep it to themself. And it's pretty low to bring up malcom young just so you can make him feel bad. Also typical how you bring up modern rap music, once queted "pop and rap music sucks, but I'm a rock fan. So its none of my business". Everyone's talking about rock music so fucking rap music has nothing to do with this, you're the perfect example of why I can't stand annoying "real music" kids.
and AC?DC started out as a rock and roll band with Bon and turned into a Hard rock band with Brian. They are a rock band not a heavy metal band and you would say the same about Led Zeppelin.
I saw Dream Theater at Gigantour years ago. They played second fiddle to Megadeth, were on stage twice as long and spent a solid chunk of that time dragging out songs already nearly 10 minutes long. Talented dudes but Jesus...
Slayer have done just the same thing?!? This is insane, nobody says that, actually Slayer is the most metal band of metal reinventing itself, every album tastes different with the same unmerciful energy, the live performances are sick. SLAAAAAYYYEEERRRRRR (LOL)
Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park are by far more hated than all the bands mentioned in this video. By the way, if somebody made a poll about the most hated hard rock/metal subgenres, nü-metal would be the favorite to win (in competition with emo and post-grunge).
I knew Opeth would be on the list. I actually haven't heard any of their new "Heritage era" stuff, but I'm guessing that I would actually like it because I've heard it goes hand-in-hand with Steven Wilson's Grace For Drowning and the Storm Corrosion album.
I just happened onto your videos and I enjoy watching and LISTENING at what you have to say. lol Lady Ga Ga VS Iron Maiden. That's funny. Keep on rockin', dude.
BABYMETAL is my favourite band and BAND-MAID is second, so listen to the guy above me^^... Babymetal has so much stuff you relate with something. They have Nu Metal, Heavy Metal, Progressive Metal, Folk, Metal Ballad, Death Metal, Metal with J-Pop, Metal with Rap, Metal with Dubstep, Metal with electronic music, Speed Metal, etc. They have an incredible big amount of variety on only two discs.
About Dream Theater the first time I heard of them was from a guitarist acquintance who was terribly condescending to any other band/music at all. It just seems like a lot of Dream theater fans are musicians themselves and unsufferable elitists who simply cannot ever shut up about Dream Theater, or stop putting down whatever music you like to listen to. But as far as the band itself I have no negative feelings towards them.
I think Christian Black Metal gets overhated a lot more than it should. Being considered "Not Black Metal, Trve Kvult", and whatever. Christan Black Metal (Or Unblack Metal, or whatever you want to call it), had some truly influential and prominent bands within its own sub-scene. Antestor and Crimson Moonlight, just to name two, had a lot of hurdles to crawl through to get their music heard and aren't really appreciated for their sound, skill and struggle to make an effect in the whole genre of Black Metal. Sure it's very bizarre of a sub-subgenre(?), but a lot of talent gets overlooked simply because of their religious beliefs or lack of union with the neopagan/satanic/anti-abrahamic/anti-zionist laden scene. A lot of the bands truly tried to make progression in the Black Metal subgenre and some had the most unique sounds of the genre, it's kinda sad that they are shoved to the side. I understand the revolt against "Christians trying to shove their ideology in every facet of life", but really this is music, a form of expression of ones self. These guys just happen to be Christian. You would figure that Metal fans of any type would great it with open arms. It's certainly more respectable than the Christian hipster guild that fills the Metalcore halls with despair.
Christian metal in general, for sure. But these are individual bands we are talking about here, not an entire genre. A friend of mine actually started out with Christian Metal and from time to time decides to show it off. I was talking with him about King Diamond in his car one time, and he goes "You want to hear the Christian equivalent of King Diamond?" This piqued my interest immensely so I, obviously, said yes. He showed me a band called Tourniquet... the album was called something like "Stop the Bleeding" or something. It was cheesy as hell (has to be if he was going to relate it to KD) but the falsetto vibratos and instrumentals were on point. I said something like, "Wow, it's a shame they're pushing Christian propaganda, because this is actually really good." His response was something like "It has to be! Because it has to compete with traditional metal." Personally, I don't hate Christian Metal of any sub-genre, but I do hate theist obtrusion towards everyone else.
I can understand Christian death metal, but black metal is based around hatred of Christianity. Or all weak forms of organized religion as they would say.
I dont get how anyone can say Babymetal is not metal....its japanese pop meets melodeath. The backing band is very metal and the style of play with the crunch and riffs and distortion are squarely in the metal genre. Just to be clear folks....your feelings dont define what is what. You can dislike a band. But you cannot make something what its not, even if you dislike it. Babymetal is factually a metal outfit. It qualifies. End of argument. Anything that objects to that is wrong and/or is ignorant. You can disagree with opinions. You cannot disagree with facts. Which this is.
Ok, we’re you just reading a Wikipedia page or something?? In what world is Nu Metal even remotely as heavy as Slipknot? I’ve literally only seen that classification of them on Wikipedia
I remember when bands like Boston and Journey were considered heavy metal bands back in the late 70's! I still have a Cream magazine from the late 70's, where rock fans voted Blue Oyster Cult metal band of the year! Boy have times changed!
cuz it was awesome. The fusion of two powerful genres! Idk, I like all kinds of metal but I grew up with metal AND rap so hearing the combination was pretty cool
***** sure, I can get that. But you can't deny bands like Coal Chamber, Slipknot, KoRn, and even Static-X weren't so bad. Shit man I can only work out to nu metal because of the "bouncy" rhythms.
AC/DC gets my hate for sounding the same while also sounding really annoying. "modern metal" really depends on the band. Avenged Sevenfold has gotten worse over time but I don't hate them or anything. Five Finger Death Punch is a shit band led by a moron with a Napoleonic Complex. And if you look at Slayer's fan base...they would be the south. Again, no hate for Slayer, just saying.
Corey Taylor has shown his love for thrash metal bands for e.g he was in the thrash metal documentary 'Get Thrashed'. Bands that he mentioned, talked about, and regarded as influential to his band (slipknot) were Slayer, Exodus, Anthrax, Metallica, Voivod, Sepultura and most likely Death Metal bands as well. From my perspective, I see Corey Taylor as a lucky person because he grew up listening to these awesome old school bands. You would think that someone saying Angel of Death as being "One of the heaviest songs of all fricken time, and I hate you for writing it because I wanted to" would make there own thrash metal band, death metal band right??? I know I would have made my own band or joined one (I do play in a band though).

Barış Karasakız I love the drums and guitar. Once I hear the vocalists voice, I turn that shit off. It makes me want to vomit. I despise them.
One more spin of "You Shook Me All Night Long" is about enough to seize the pallet.
Barış Karasakız AC DC sucks
Barış Karasakız AC DC is probably the most overrated band in history. The vocals are terrible in every song they've ever done sounds exactly the same.
i'm getting triggered by these comments.
s a m e
I think it's interesting that many of these bands were also on the "Most Overrated" list. I never thought about it before, but I suppose it's possible for a band to be both. Music is subjective. No need to mindlessly praise or condemn a group. Just let them be.
+Jack Casey absolutely it is possible and also not a bad thing, really.
Opeth isnt worth hating
i thought ACDC was hard rock
You're Right. AC/DC Is Hard Rock. 🎸
the only problem that I have about baby metal is that they are not a real band. they are a show band, i dont know them, but i doubt they write or compose their own music. they are just like one of those pop performers, kmetal idk wtf people would call them but they are definetely not a legit metal band. but whatever just not my type of music entertainment when it comes to metal
Well somebody had to write it, don't you think?
Why does the person who wrote it matter at all?
Rammstein is also hated af. Industrial Metal has never been respected amongst trve kvlt metalheads.
Rammstein is in all honestly, good fun. They might not have the virtuosity of bands like Iron Maiden but they put on an entertaining show.
Well said. Seen them twice. They put on the best overall "show" I've seen and they're heavy live. The sound is great live unlike a lot of other bands that sound like shit live.
Jose luis I think they're great and yeah, industrial metal deserves more respect!
SLAYYYYYYERRRRRRR!
SHUT UP
Babymetal's hate is injustified.
+Ely Gallego SuMetals voice is really good
Name one song where they have progressive metal, Id like to hear it.
For me the problem with them is also the vocals. It makes me really cringe. Its just something that doesnt fit there. As someone said earlier, its different just to be different, not becouse its artistic or personal. After all their band sounds just forced, and I cant enjoy the music. But then again Ive heard only few songs
Arvaa Kuka Tales of the Destinies
the way I look at it, if I don't like it I won't listen to it and I won't say anything of it, and if I do like it then dammit I'm gonna listen to it, just because I don't like the way a band sounds doesn't mean I'm gonna hate the band and personally I'm a fan of a few bands on this list: five finger death punch, avenged sevenfold, slipknot, and metallica
I haven't watched yet... but Metallica BETTER be #1
or nirvana oh wait there rock
Metallica deserves the hate tbh. At least a little bit.
If we're talking Saint Anger era Metallica in particular then yes, that album was, well... pretty fucking bad.
The only thing I like about BABYMETAL is the dudes playing the instruments.
I never even heard of them until now, so I checked out a couple vids and they suck ass. A teeny bopper metal band?? What a joke.
Same, I don't think they would be a bad instrumental band.
same
Yeah...the Intro to 'Karate' for example is really good! Then the Vocals start and ruin it...the main vocalist isn't even that bad...but...not Metal enough...
+Luca M. Gimme Chocolate is heavy but the vocals ruin it.
AA and most popular core and nu-metal bands should be on here. Some of those bands aren't that bad and definitely don't deserve the hatred they get.
+Metal Anime Gamer they are. Nu-metal and 'modern metal' are both part of #6
Plus, they´re plain bad
+Leo Hernandez "I stole my dads Black Sabbath records and now I think my opinion matters"
Oh dad metal. Lol.
+Leo Hernandez dad metal?
I don't know how people gate so Metallica so much. No matter what they decide to do, there will always be 4 absolutely perfect albums backing them up, something that almost no other thrash band can say for themselves.
Nicolas Arango and honestly the 2 newest albums ain’t even bad and they feel like they’re getting back on track
@@beneadie7147 Hardwired isn't very good besides a few songs
AC/DC to me are a Heavy Rock N Roll/Blues band.
What about dragonforce
acdc is not metal. its old school rock and roll.
love this video! ties in nicely with your "gateway band" video too lol - seems like the two go hand in hand a lot of the time!
Do you consider Dethklok to be a parody or a legitimate band?
I'm probably one of the few people the loves Five Finger Death Punch and don't care what anybody thinks
I'm surprised not to see cradle of filth
Someone commented on my video explaining why he hates Babymetal and one of reasons he said is that their Japanese.
Can't trust them after Pearl Harbor
I had another person tell me they did not like it because it always songs like "Chong Chong Chong Chong" smh
+Trane Sonic You made me die of laughter
probably one of the most interesting video you've made this week :o
overhated bands include some nu metal behemoths like slipknot, korn and even linkin park to some degree
I love Linkin Park and Slipknot. LP is my favorite band
Linkin park isn't metal though
On their first two albums they are.
Whether you like it or not, nu metal is part of metal
Disturbed
+Trane Sonic ok
I'm really glad to see that five finger death punch is in fact getting a fuck of a lot of hate as you say. I've only ever found people who like them and thought I was alone in hating them. Actually, they deserve more hate overall. They are fucking horrible and give metal a bad name. The few of us who actually love metal need to make it known that they are a piece of shit band that needs to fucking die.
Metal fans have some of the worst superiority complexes.
So,obviously people hate biggest bands.Nobody hates the small bands.
Big succes = most hated
its a way to success!
Slipknot's sound has definitely changed over time. Of course their second album, their self titled, was clearly nu metal, however their later stuff incorporated elements of thrash, heavy, and some even say death metal (in Iowa). I personally love them and their sound although of course not everyone can agree
Nr.10 - there is not really reason why to hate on them, there are reasons why to dislike their music, but not to hate
Nr.9 - Ac/dc - I do myself hate sound of the band, i do like Sabbath, Maiden, Zeppelin, but cant get over ac/dc but it is just hate of the sound not the band
Nr.8 - Opeth - Again there is not a reason why to hate on the band, their early material is amazing and if you dont care about their newer output just dont listen to it
Nr.7 - Slipknot - I get people dont enjoying the over simplicity, but there are reasons why to like them, Vocals, plus they were amazing at shows and were pretty decent songwriters, i dont care about the gimmick
Nr.6 - there is really good reason why to hate on bands like AA cause the band has no talent - they are just taking ideas of others throwing cringy lyrics on it plus their music is pretty much pop with core vocal estetique.
But their fans are fucking dumb
Nr.4 - FFDP - again this is just unnecesary, yes the band is super generic, but i actually whink their first album wasn't that bad, they are not bad musicians or persons
Nr3 - Dream theater - i wouldn't consider them getting much hate. I have never been fan of their music even at their best i was more into porcupine tree type of prog
Nr.2 - I get this one kinda, because they started making music changes that are little bit cringeworthy. But overall meh
Nr.1 - I always hated metallica's music, all of my friends were so much into metallica, while i was still listening to my Sabbath at the time
One question.
Are you heavy?
Yes?
Good. You are Metal.
Indeed!
(As someone told me)
Sebastian Armas Yeah, people only want pure genres. I think their brand of blackgaze is pretty creative.
+Ocean Sage
Black Metal Heads are idiots.
Deafheaven is Blackgaze.
Blackgaze arent satanic or brutal and they dont use make-up.
UrbanDanger ! Pretty much.
what's the music playing in the background? it's familiar but i can't quite figure it out
I'm glad KoRn's not hated alot.
CrispyCakes they haven't even put out a average album out since 2003. Close to 90% of their albums sucked
CrispyCakes even though they are a really good band, they do get a lot of hate
Ultimate Random Guy they are hated a lot but they deserve to be therefore they're not OVERhated
Yo Ck, you should list the background songs you use during each video in your descriptions. Itll help introduce a lot of people to new music and bands which is often a goal of some of your videos. The opening track you use in this video is sick. Im really curious what the songs name is. Thanks for the vids ck, keep up the good work man.
Load is my favourite Metallica album to be honest. Ronnie's riff is damn good and 2X4 is actually my favourite Metallica song.
2X4 is such an awesome song!
Death Magnetic? A great thrash metal album?!?! It's an okay heavy metal album, but a mediocre thrash album.
Isn't okay and mediocre pretty much the same thing?
BirdsElopeWithTheSun No. Okay is neither bad nor good. It is on par, while I consider mediocre to mean subpar.
Once again, great commentary CKN! Metal is much more than a sound. it's the lyrics, the feel, and the emotions in the music. Stay Metal \m/
I love old metal. I love 60's to 70's rock. But I utterly hate ACDC.
Stefan S and why?
Super Saiyan You're a fucking idiot.
Have you considered a Top Ten Best/Worst Live Bands list? Or have you already done that?
I don't believe Babymetal is a mockery or parody, I believe it falls under the Visual Kei category which is nothing new in Japan
and AC?DC started out as a rock and roll band with Bon and turned into a Hard rock band with Brian. They are a rock band not a heavy metal band and you would say the same about Led Zeppelin.
what were the names of the music pieces in the background in this episode...
How can someone hate Dream Theater !!!
GORE illa basically, divine intervention-diabolus in musica are the only couple of albums that actually fit that stereotype
What's the music in the background?
if it isn't harsh noise than it isn't good
+noah larson if it's not Metal Machine Music it's not harsh noise.
Lou Reed is awesome. Some good noise metal would be full of hell and the body's collaborative album.
noah larson I love your profile picture!
mateo jackson thanks a bunch. doesn't get better than sleep
+noah larson yep... dragonaut all the way!
Korn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park are by far more hated than all the bands mentioned in this video. By the way, if somebody made a poll about the most hated hard rock/metal subgenres, nü-metal would be the favorite to win (in competition with emo and post-grunge).
But they deserve the hate so it doesnt fit the list
No, the most overhated metal band is Limp Bizkit, there's no contest here...
The hate is well deserved though. Although I will admit that Wes Borland is a really good guitarist. His talent is wasted on Limp Bizkit.
Not overhated Limp Bizkit is overrated
Limp Bizkit deserves hate. Fuck their wigger music
There’s not enough hate in the metal community for Limp Biskit (and that’s a LOT of hate).
I love Limp Bizkit
I knew Opeth would be on the list. I actually haven't heard any of their new "Heritage era" stuff, but I'm guessing that I would actually like it because I've heard it goes hand-in-hand with Steven Wilson's Grace For Drowning and the Storm Corrosion album.
Can't stand Metallica haters
I just happened onto your videos and I enjoy watching and LISTENING at what you have to say. lol Lady Ga Ga VS Iron Maiden. That's funny. Keep on rockin', dude.
Babymetal is fucking awesome and I don't give a shit what anyone else thinks.
^very true
Same
Yup. BAND-MAID is awesome too. More of a hard rock band, but check 'em out.
+LynnRamos i mean, babymetal is good but they only have 2 albums. you dont listen to a lot of metal bands do you?
About Dream Theater the first time I heard of them was from a guitarist acquintance who was terribly condescending to any other band/music at all. It just seems like a lot of Dream theater fans are musicians themselves and unsufferable elitists who simply cannot ever shut up about Dream Theater, or stop putting down whatever music you like to listen to. But as far as the band itself I have no negative feelings towards them.
FFDP should be hated even more.....
What's the song in the background?
Dragonforce?
They aren't relevant enough to be on a list. :P
I love your videos dude!!!
AbyssmalAngel white metal isn't hated enough, it's a load of Christians who are jumping on a kvlt bandwagon
Isn't Atheistic Black Metal jumping on the Satanic Kult wagon as well?
I can understand Christian death metal, but black metal is based around hatred of Christianity. Or all weak forms of organized religion as they would say.
Hey CKN, could you do a track review for Parkway Drive's latest song? It's titled "Devil's Calling"
Which this is.
ikr? people are just dicks... ^^"
I see nothing wrong with Baby Metal. I have both albums. They got a great sound. A lot of people are afraid of something new.
Great Video!
lol throw your shirt in the dryer before you get on camera lol
lol, no shit, dryer sheets or dewrinkle button
Ok, we’re you just reading a Wikipedia page or something?? In what world is Nu Metal even remotely as heavy as Slipknot? I’ve literally only seen that classification of them on Wikipedia
Avenged sevenfold stole overkills logo
Nathaniel Damarelos A skull with wings is a pretty basic image. It's probably just convenience.
I remember when bands like Boston and Journey were considered heavy metal bands back in the late 70's! I still have a Cream magazine from the late 70's, where rock fans voted Blue Oyster Cult metal band of the year! Boy have times changed!
AC/DC-Metal? HAHAHAHA
Norma Jean is my favorite band for a long time and they were one of the bands that got me into metal
They dislike avenged sevenfold I dislike their existence😋
what's the song in the back round ????
at the beginning
I miss nu metal
cuz it was awesome.
Metallica wrote this lovely song about their ex-hardcore fans..... it is called "Hate Train" on their 2011 EP "Beyond Magnetic"
Again, no hate for Slayer, just saying.
your first sentence... why change anything perfect?
