The selling out argument holds no value simply because the people who claim that they sold out often aren't even able to agree on when they sold out. Some say that they sold out with Death Magnetic because one of their advertising points was that they're coming back to their old sound, so they were obviously trying to appeal to the listeners. Others say that they sold out with Master Of Puppets, because the record wasn't all thrash. And even though it's not a common opinion today, there were people back then who said that Metallica sold out with Ride The Lightning, because it featured their first ballad- Fade To Black. Apparently Kill Em All was the only album that they didn't sell out with. How about you people actually decide *when* they sold out and then we'll discuss if they did.
Kill 'Em All has "Seek and Destroy" that has a catchy chorus and it has become one of their most popular songs. So technically they sold out on Kill 'Em All too. Oh, and they use clean guitar in the middle section of "Phantom Lord" and slowed down the tempo of "The Mechanix" that became "The Four Horsemen". Total sellouts. Everything is a sellout unless it's 100% thrash with no mainstream appeal. So no pussy ass clean guitars or slow tempos or catchy choruses.

Yes, it's me and yes, I had to comment about this. I don't think Metallica really gives two shits who hates them. Metallica will do what Metallica wants to do. I'm a 'And Justice For All', cut off. Meaning, I haven't really kept up with them since 'Black' album. But, I will always enjoy their material, and I could care less where they are on the popularity scale. I enjoy your videos, dude. lol
1.) they tried getting rid of mosh pits.. it was never enforced but the fact that this is something they want to do and or tried to do shows just how low Warped Tour has gotten. it's for whiny kids.. that's it.
"Dad Rock" dosent really apply to Metal..more to Led Zep,Paul Weller/The Jam (snore),Oasis (bigger snore) and other form of rock that isnt played as fast or brutal as a thrash band.
Let's not forget, the real sell outs here are the elitist crybabies who comment "Sell Outs" on almost every Metallica post you see on Facebook. Metallica didn't sell out, they changed. The black album was a change, but doesn't mean it was bad. Yes Enter Sandman is overplayed like crazy, but doesn't mean the album as a whole is bad. Holier Than Thou, The Unforgiven, My Friend of Misery, The Struggle Within, are some pretty good songs. Load may have not been Thrash, but it was still pretty good. The Outlaw Torn is a masterpiece Imo. If it's popular, or not thrash, the elitists who are yet to leave their moms basements label them "sell outs". It's pretty pathetic. Y'all spend more time hating on a band, rather than just enjoying the bands you listen to. Metal community in a nut shell.
I hate Metallica for one reason and one reason only. His name is Lars Ulrich. He's put on a pedestal that he doesn't deserve. I don't respect anyone who admits they don't even practice anymore
+Stefano Padilla these days, yes, hell fucking yes. lars isn't half the drummer he once was. but back in the day? he was really good (for example ...And Justice For All). i still rather like em tho
+Stefano Padilla Lol do people really put him on a pedestal though?..Only see hate for him everywhere with some people occasionally defending him saying that he used to be a good drummer and was an integral part of the 80s thrash metal music and formation of the band
While I agree Lars' drumming has gone seriously downhill, the "doesn't practice" quote is taken out of context. He was saying he doesn't sit down to practice a certain beat at a certain tempo or anything (he needs to though), because he doesn't practice like a beginner would practice. Instead he plays along with songs, his own or others. This would be practice if he applied himself but really the issue is he is too lazy to work up the endurance.
Stefano Padilla Who puts him on a pedestal? Even most Metallica fans tend to agree he is the band's weakest link in terms of musicianship. Only the most diehard of fans put him on a pedestal. Nowadays James is the most well-done member of that band by far, and for good reason.
Here are my takes: 5. I guess I'm different because my dad started playing Pantera's Strength Beyond Strength before anything from Metallica when I was around 10. I didn't mind, and my parents still don't mind now either. Even with Metallica, he'd play different albums (particulary Black Album, Master of Puppets, and AFJA). 4. No, don't hate something because it's hip. Be honest. 3. Weren't other bands and artists against Napster too? 2. Actually, there are plenty of stuff I enjoyed after the Black Album. 1. Ok, that's not a bad reason but I still don't get it. People also bring up the relationship with Jason Newsted back then, even as if it's still an issue in 2021. It's sad.
I'd sum up people's dislike for Metallica with the following: *1:* The 1990s and Bob Rock - there are still fans whinging that there was a decade of thrash lost as a result of their creative experimentation. I personally loved it, and it's a shame that those fans were unable to see past the band's need to move forward because some of their best ideas are to be found on those records. And please, fans, you love The Black Album. *2:* Napster - this is an old one, and is very rarely discussed but it is still somewhat relevant given that the band have embraced digital distribution as part of their business model. Although people have moved on from Napster, I think people kind of look at Metallica as embracing digital distribution on their terms alone at the expense of fans. But, did anyone really think in the late 1990s that digital distribution would be so widespread that you could download the latest hit to your phone? Maybe, but as early as 2008? Probably not. *3:* The gap between albums - this is a mixed one because ever since the mid-to-late 1990s, masses of fans have always taken time to rag on the latest release by the band in as much as they demand news on a forthcoming release. It's an endless cycle of irony. But given that their last record, 2008's Death Magnetic, was only intermittently interrupted with an ill-received collaboration album, a decent EP, and a forgettable concept film, the fans cannot help it feel like they are being hung out to dry. They need new material to hate. *4:* They're overrated - this is probably the most common criticism which kind of ties in with reasons #1 and #3 in that outside of the 1980s, it is unclear to many why this band are so lauded. The moment they stopped being the pioneers of thrash, people began to question. Again, I don't agree with this logic but this would be a reason why some would deem Metallica "overrated". *5:* Their taste in music - this is the biggest tragedy because one thing that has always bothered me about the rebellious, aggressive genre of Metal is that it is unabashedly conservative. Again, revisit #1. But it doesn't end there because even if the band discuss music they cannot help attract vitriol whether it be Lars announcing that, at least at the time, The Arctic Monkeys and Oasis were his favourite bands, or James' love of Elton John, or the band declaring their love of Lou Reed (see album and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Performance). This is why I can't be a metal fan in full because it's surprisingly proven that "if it ain't heavy, it's not relevant to us" when really the opposite is true. Metal was built on blues melody with certain pop sensibilities. If not for those influences, the genre never would have expanded to the heights of today. To me, disc 1 of Garage Inc. is essential to Metallica's legacy whether it be the thrashier covers or the outright country ballad, Tuesday's Gone.
Maybe I don't hate metallica, that's a bit of a strong word, but I dislike them for none of the reasons mentioned. They're just not entertaining to me. Everything about them that might come close to grasping my attention is done so much better by practically every other thrash metal band. Which is, of course, a statement that might sound like heresy to some, but keep in mind that I'm not saying you have to have my perspective, or even that it's the right perspective.
Hating Lars/Metallica because they put up a morally righteous fight against Napster and illegal music downloading (also known as *stealing*) is one of the most evil reasons for hating Lars/Metallica. When Lars/Metallica did this, my respect for them grew tremendously. People who don't want to pay for the music that they are listening to (or, for that matter, the movies that they are watching) are despicable low-lives, worthy only of contempt and mockery. I only wish more people stood up for their rights as Metallica did; then the world would be a better place.
Its diferent when it comes to personal use, what is bad is selling things that you dont own and get all the money, thats kinda what copyright is about. Sorry for the bad english.
Priest and Maiden continue to put out listenable albums and they started out in a time where there weren't even "metalheads" they are still relevant and put out metal albums while making money. Metallica petered out as soon as the money came in. The gods of metal invested in sets and leather!
I give it to James that he can learn quickly. He sure learned how to play like Dave real fast. As the story goes, in the beginning Mustaine wrotem all!! So we have two great bands out of this and I think it would be great for James and Dave to collaborate on a project. That would be epic!!! Do it for the fans!!!!
@@jtramelli5464 Dave is the influence in Metallica, the attitude etc Dave is the only guy on the planet that can say hes been in Metallica and Magadeth . Dave is the King plain and simple.
@@curtwehrmeyer124 😂😂😂.... dave is the only guy that can say he was kicked out of Metallica too, must suck to get booted from the greatest band of all time only to start up a knock-off wanna be band .... dave is the king of being full of shit, Metallica is the greatest band in the world, Dave has forever been jealous and bitter that they booted his ass ... face it bro, dave is a fast guitar player, but James is the better singer, lyricist, composer and front man, thats plainly obvious
the Dad rock scheme I think is to keep them away from possibly hearing why these older bands are good, thus not influencing them to dislike some of the newer bands due to their insuperiorrities when compared to the qualities of the so called "dad rock" lol
Hobbit Sodomizer: Endorarma would have been a better album if they would have advertised it as another band with members of Kreator! I don't hate it, just don't see it as Kreator. Not that they didn't have a right to experiment..
I remember lining up at a music store for a midnight release of Load. I had really high expectations. In interview that they'd done earlier that day, they were talking about how it was their best and heaviest album ever. I cant remember being more disappointed by an album, BUT... it grew on me. Before it could, though, I had to figure out a way to pretend it wasn't a Metallica album and come at it with ZERO expectations. After Load,, though, I couldn't get into anything else they put out.
I recconize there talent for sure I don't hate them in the least but maybe it's just my lack of love for power metal which seems to be there in the vocals at least and the instrumentation is amazing but kinda boring at times. I will say some of there songs are good but I tried scenes from a memory and it just didn't grab me at all
Looking back, Lars & Metallica were pretty right about the whole Napster thing. The music industry has changed a ton and not for the better from the band perspective of things. It's much harder for a band to actually make a living via just their music anymore.
I saw Metallica live on the St. Anger world tour when I was 13 and it was great, and they only played 2 songs off of St. Anger there. It was in 2004 so I think at that point it was already solidified that the album was their worst yet. I don't hate Metallica but they're so easy to poke fun of. Hell, the 2010's might be their worst decade yet so far: LULU, a flop concert film that had laughably stupid "plot" added in, and not releasing an actual new album in 8 years now.
Well I was born in 1988 and missed them in their heyday but I grew to like them through the black album and Load and Reload because that's what was in the charts and on the TV at the time. So I got to judge those albums on face value and didn't compare them to their previous work and just enjoyed them as they were which I think is the problem. They set such high standards that everything thats not Ride the lightning or Master of Puppets is a failure and sucks, which is unfair. People need to realise it's like catching lightning in a bottle and will never be replicated so should stop expecting it. These guys are in their 50s now man just let them do whatever type of music they want to do. They're still great musicians so it'll still sound awesome
Metallica just sort of lost their edge. When I listen to the newer Metallica albums, or watch recordings of their live performances from the last several years, I just don't feel it anymore. They don't sound vicious anymore. I can't feel the fury. Death Magnetic was a better direction from load, reload, and st. anger, but still it just didn't have that feeling in it. In their shows they almost seem like too much of pro live performers, they command the venue in a way that feels a bit offputting - closer to a WWE show than an older Metallica concert. They got old, they got nice luxurious lives, they just aren't the same people as they were in the 80s and early 90s. I think they should end Metallica and start new projects. While maybe the people who they are now aren't right for what Metallica should be, but they are all still incredible and talented artists and I'd be curious to see what other kinds of directions they might go in, just not while they still try to be the Metallica we all loved.
"They sold out." This is perhaps an even more evil reason for hating Metallica. This is nothing but envy of Metallica's phenomenal commercial success in the 1990s and onward. Apparently, only starving and obscure artists are worthy of our love, respect and admiration; the minute you stop starving and become a household name, you must have done something wrong and must be shunned. It's not just ridiculous, it's really low.
+Rick King they are overrated af, but you can't compare immortal to Metallica. Completely different genres. BUT Hey!! Immortal are back to their roots! EVEN BETTER THAN EVER!
My favorite metal bands from least-to-most favorite: - Disturbed (The last good-ish band) - Metallica (early days) - Slayer (#1 if I'm pissed off) - Megadeth (Good lyrics, anarchist vibe) - Motorhead (When I ride my bike, exercise, or need to wake up in the morning) - Led Zeppelin (Because they were pioneers and it's the only metal band that my family lets me play in the house) - Iron Maiden (Good lyrics, catchy, educational, libertarian)
"Everything after the Black Album sucks" has been around for 20 years, not 25. People didn't think anything after the Black Album sucked until something actually came after it. People couldn't hate music that didn't exist yet.
I actually was dumb enough to defend metallica after the black album and told people too wait as they will come back with a great album and then we got LOAD! and everything that came after that. They were never even close to metal again
so if I do one of these for Maiden I shouldn't expect your view? :P obv I love Maiden as well but it's kinda ridiculous as to some of the reasons people hate them.
Metallica is the mcdonalds of metal as acdc is the mcdonalds of classic rock. Even though they aren't even metal anymore and haven't been in years. Still once you explore metal and see what's out there you really see metallica as just average at best.
Loving these videos and this channel. Why on the Lars Ulrich issue did you not mention his drumming is getting worse and worse, and he's never been able to play 'One' correctly live.
He could pre-Black album. I saw them in 89 and he was 100% perfect. I've seen Vinnie Paul, Scott Travis, Pete Sandoval, Nick Menza, and many other legendary drummers over the years and Lars was every bit as good as any of them. Now when I caught them again in 96 and 97 it was a different story. NOT the same guy.
Hmm, I don't like Metallica because of James Hetfield's vocal style (only on Kill Em All, would I say that I like the vocals). Overall they are fine, I just don't actively listen to them.
Metallica will always be number one for me largely due to the fact i learnt how to play all of their songs on guitar and constantly listening to them for 20 plus years. But I do enjoy other bands more sometimes just due to the fact other bands are releasing new and technically better material more often then Metallica.
Metallica was great up until, And Justice For All, Death Magnetic resembles the old days just abit.. but now Lars has changed his drumming style, he now drums every track with different fills, he cant stop with the China hits.. after James blew his voice out, he sounds shit live "listeners at the start of a tour are lucky" by the time they get half way James is all puffed out.. Kirk has a tendency to cut notes from his solos.. Rob is a great Bassist :^)
I loved Matallica as a kid second only to Slayer ...until the Black Album. That one got me worried. But by the time Load was released they where no longer anything close to the band I fell in love with. Now they are lost in a self identity complex abyss. I only listen to Kill'em All - Justice, each album a timeless classic.
My 5 reasons I hate metallica- 1. they turned to shit 25 yrs ago. 2. they let Jason go. 3. Load. 4. Reload and last but not least 5. they bullshit their fans. Thanks.
The reason was because lars ulrich and the rest of the band were very contradictory because they always used to encourage people to bootleg and take home videos at their concerts and things like that, then went completely back on it
+TheZman1978 any album they've put out since I began has been reviewed. Hell, the last two releases I had to review two of em because they split off into their branching paths. I'd say I've hardly ignored them.
My dad listens to all kinds of stuff. He doesn't criticize my music at all. In fact, he likes a lot of it. When I tried to introduce him to Animals as Leaders, he told me he already knew them.
I completely a hundred percent agree with the top 5 reasons people started to dislike Metallica I for one a long time listener from the beginning feel a hundred percent correct with your answers on this good work
5 reasons we hate Metallica? 5 - Kirk Hammett can't play for shit and constantly forgets riffs and solos 4 Lars can't play drums since the late 80s. 3 They sold out 2 They released St. Anger 1 Metallica vs Napster.
That's one reason people will say why they don't like slayer. I disagree. South of Heaven was very different from Reign in Blood. As was Seasons in the Abyss. They're known for their fast songs, but they have a lot of slower to mid-paced songs. My favorite song of theirs is Seasons in the Abyss which is mid-paced.
John X But the riffs rarely sound different from the last one. And the solos are just whammy jerk-off noise. I like Show No Mercy and Hell Awaits and some songs from Seasons in the Abbys. The rest does nothing for me.
We'll have to agree to disagree I guess. A lot of metal bands get the accusation of their songs sounding the same. Motorhead and Iron Maiden have gotten this accusation. I think it depends on perception. If you're very familiar with these bands, you'll notice the differences in the songs. If you're a casual listener, then you probably won't.
I have more respect for Megadeth than I ever will for Metallica.

3. They suck shit.
4. They are terrible people.
5. See above.
I agree
Don't even get me started
"We do what we wanna do, ya know? If they consider that selling out then.... whatever" - Clifford Lee "Cliff" Burton
5 reasons why Warped Tour sucks now?
yes
1.) they tried getting rid of mosh pits.. it was never enforced but the fact that this is something they want to do and or tried to do shows just how low Warped Tour has gotten. it's for whiny kids.. that's it.
+Mike Corcoran 1 No moshing 2 Only Emo kids with "mommy" issues go 3 Terrible bands play there 4 It's boring. 5 Idk
+Animated Stories. It's the fuckin' insurance companies..
+Geeky Metalhead No, Warped Tour is all pop punk now, and the emo kids have daddy issues, not mommy issues, get it right.
"Dad Rock" dosent really apply to Metal..more to Led Zep,Paul Weller/The Jam (snore),Oasis (bigger snore) and other form of rock that isnt played as fast or brutal as a thrash band.
Do 5 reasons why people hate OVERKILL ! Wait a minute... I have never met anyone who hate Overkill.
cause they're not known fucking stupid shit
austin cutty No, it's cause they are the fuckin' best thrash band ever, ya' dumb fuck
Lol no they aren't but they are good
Number 1 would be avenged sevenfold fans
Never met anyone who hated Overkill Or Testament. and i do not see any reason to either.
I don't hate Metallica I just think they are overrated. I'm not a huge metal fan I'm more into rock bands.
I hate Metallica for one reason and one reason only. His name is Lars Ulrich. He's put on a pedestal that he doesn't deserve. I don't respect anyone who admits they don't even practice anymore
+Stefano Padilla
these days, yes, hell fucking yes. lars isn't half the drummer he once was. but back in the day? he was really good (for example ...And Justice For All). i still rather like em tho
+norwaydude6 needs*
Stefano Padilla Who puts him on a pedestal? Even most Metallica fans tend to agree he is the band's weakest link in terms of musicianship. Only the most diehard of fans put him on a pedestal. Nowadays James is the most well-done member of that band by far, and for good reason.
Here are my takes:
It's sad.
I like less than 20% of their discography, how can I honestly say I like them?
You have no taste in music
Fair
I'd sum up people's dislike for Metallica with the following:
*1:* The 1990s and Bob Rock - there are still fans whinging that there was a decade of thrash lost as a result of their creative experimentation.
To me, disc 1 of Garage Inc. is essential to Metallica's legacy whether it be the thrashier covers or the outright country ballad, Tuesday's Gone.
finally... someone educated weighing in with true criticism and insight. who are you are you should have a blog or a video channel.
+TheZman1978 whoever*
TheZman1978 Nah, leave it to those who already do a fine enough job of review based channels. But thanks!
Debonaire Nerd
"Pioneers of thrash"
What fool?
Maybe I don't hate metallica, that's a bit of a strong word, but I dislike them for none of the reasons mentioned. They're just not entertaining to me. Everything about them that might come close to grasping my attention is done so much better by practically every other thrash metal band. Which is, of course, a statement that might sound like heresy to some, but keep in mind that I'm not saying you have to have my perspective, or even that it's the right perspective.
I was the same way but kept listening till it clicked now I love Metallica it might take a few listens to get it
5. "Plagarism"
4. Lars
3. Napster
2. Kicking out Mustaine
1. St. Snare
Cyrekt I feel bad for you if that's how you feel
Cyrekt what plagiarism?
Hating Lars/Metallica because they put up a morally righteous fight against Napster and illegal music downloading (also known as *stealing*) is one of the most evil reasons for hating Lars/Metallica. When Lars/Metallica did this, my respect for them grew tremendously. People who don't want to pay for the music that they are listening to (or, for that matter, the movies that they are watching) are despicable low-lives, worthy only of contempt and mockery. I only wish more people stood up for their rights as Metallica did; then the world would be a better place.
Justin Douthett but THEY give their demos for free, is not like someone took their demos and just release them.
Its diferent when it comes to personal use, what is bad is selling things that you dont own and get all the money, thats kinda what copyright is about. Sorry for the bad english.
I only dislike them because their music sucks.
Yes...poor people who want music/movies for free are scumbags, not the politicians who keep them from being paid well....
Priest and Maiden continue to put out listenable albums and they started out in a time where there weren't even "metalheads" they are still relevant and put out metal albums while making money. Metallica petered out as soon as the money came in. The gods of metal invested in sets and leather!
5 Reasons why people love Lemmy ?
+Hisham Saade
Because why the hell not
Abdulmajeed AHM I love him too of course but i'd like to hear CKN's opinion
I give it to James that he can learn quickly. He sure learned how to play like Dave real fast. As the story goes, in the beginning Mustaine wrotem all!! So we have two great bands out of this and I think it would be great for James and Dave to collaborate on a project. That would be epic!!! Do it for the fans!!!!
thats the story from dave, yet Metallicas best work has nothing to do with dave 🤷🏻♂️
Metallica is definitely a great band, if you love or hate em.... who gives a fuck. They done alot for the metal world and they have my respect
I'm on the side that only likes the first 4 and The Black Album trying to be radio friendly.
Metallica is metal for people who dont like metal
this must be the greatest quote about Metallica
That's why the only band you cant hate is KREATOR (OK we skip Endorama) :-).
Salute :-)
James has been and still is my roll model, for many it's simply more than a band
People expecting music for free has fucked things up for musicians Lars was right
why>??
Dream theater, why people hate.
+TheDrewmainia this is goooooood.
I recconize there talent for sure I don't hate them in the least but maybe it's just my lack of love for power metal which seems to be there in the vocals at least and the instrumentation is amazing but kinda boring at times. I will say some of there songs are good but I tried scenes from a memory and it just didn't grab me at all
James LaBrie.
Victor Lauze I kno there prog nut there vocals sound more like power metal
+TheDrewmainia Because they Can't Play their songs.
Looking back, Lars & Metallica were pretty right about the whole Napster thing. The music industry has changed a ton and not for the better from the band perspective of things. It's much harder for a band to actually make a living via just their music anymore.
Why people hate Jethro Tull. Oh, wait....
Reason #1 - Lars Ulrich
Reason #2 - Lars Ulrich
Reason #3 - Lars Ulrich
Reason #4 - James is sober
Reason #5 - Kirk Hammet's wardrobe
five reasons why Dave Mustaine is a better guitar player than Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield put together
Five reasons why you're an idiot who doesn't know shit about guitar playing.
Hey Fuck face, I do play giutar, Mustaine is a fuckin genious, so Im sorry if I made your little feelings hurt.
Jared Ramon Play it? You can't even spell it. Moron. Dave is good, but so are James and Kirk - any real guitarist knows that they're all equals.
Any real guitarist would be able to see that Dave Mustaine is better then kirk technically speaking.
HinjuRock
Dave, Kirk and James equals?
Stop being a blind fanboy.
Dave schools them.
I saw them at a tiny venue in Vancouver on "ride the lightning " tour. They were practically kids then.
I saw Metallica live on the St. Anger world tour when I was 13 and it was great, and they only played 2 songs off of St. Anger there. It was in 2004 so I think at that point it was already solidified that the album was their worst yet. I don't hate Metallica but they're so easy to poke fun of. Hell, the 2010's might be their worst decade yet so far: LULU, a flop concert film that had laughably stupid "plot" added in, and not releasing an actual new album in 8 years now.
who cares about the actions of lars Ulrich. i hate lars ulrich cause a 4 year old could replace him he’s the worst drummer in metal
Seriously how did he not mention that
i like both metallica and iron maiden
The largest reason: Because they're popular.
Yep highly overrated. Immortal is better.
+Rick King they are overrated af, but you can't compare immortal to Metallica. Completely different genres.
BUT Hey!! Immortal are back to their roots! EVEN BETTER THAN EVER!
well I discovered new ideology
the more popular your band is, exponentially more fans will ditch you
My favorite metal bands from least-to-most favorite:
- Disturbed (The last good-ish band)
- Metallica (early days)
- Slayer (#1 if I'm pissed off)
- Megadeth (Good lyrics, anarchist vibe)
- Motorhead (When I ride my bike, exercise, or need to wake up in the morning)
- Led Zeppelin (Because they were pioneers and it's the only metal band that my family lets me play in the house)
- Iron Maiden (Good lyrics, catchy, educational, libertarian)
Who cares if someone says u listen to "dad rock" that's means Ur more mature than them and U know more then them😂
"Everything after the Black Album sucks" has been around for 20 years, not 25.
People didn't think anything after the Black Album sucked until something actually came after it. People couldn't hate music that didn't exist yet.
I've like Metallica since 1986!!
You were in the grave by 1980, remember?
LedSabbathQueenie too soon
They formed a year after you passed
I feel bad for you man
I actually was dumb enough to defend metallica after the black album and told people too wait as they will come back with a great album and then we got LOAD! and everything that came after that. They were never even close to metal again
metallica is on my top fave bands list but they'll never be like iron maiden.
+Alyssia Maiden and maiden will never be like tallica, its perfectly fine
so if I do one of these for Maiden I shouldn't expect your view? :P
obv I love Maiden as well but it's kinda ridiculous as to some of the reasons people hate them.
+coverkillernation i think it would be a cool idea if u did
Please do one on Nickelback, I always thought they were a decent band.
heres a fact NO ONE I know has ever hated the groove metal band Lamb of God... Randy Blythe is an epic badass
5 Reasons people hate Pantera
1: Phil Anselmo
2: Phil Anselmos words
3: Phil Anselmos haircut
4: Phil Anselmos collection of garlic cloves
5: The music
For me it is the Dimebag fanboys
Fans overpraise Dimebag Darrell
Metallica is the mcdonalds of metal as acdc is the mcdonalds of classic rock. Even though they aren't even metal anymore and haven't been in years. Still once you explore metal and see what's out there you really see metallica as just average at best.
I'm more of the "everything from ReLoad onwards sucks" crowd.
+Ghost7856 No Leaf Clover , Minus Human coughhhh
Me too they made an epic cover of turn the page
But I do enjoy other bands more sometimes just due to the fact other bands are releasing new and technically better material more often then Metallica.
wow megadeth vs metallica
It cracks me up when they say they sold out but they still play their old songs live. Mind blown?
Metallica was great up until, And Justice For All, Death Magnetic resembles the old days just abit..
but now Lars has changed his drumming style, he now drums every track with different fills, he cant stop with the China hits..
after James blew his voice out, he sounds shit live "listeners at the start of a tour are lucky" by the time they get half way James is all puffed out.. Kirk has a tendency to cut notes from his solos.. Rob is a great Bassist :^)
5 reasons why people love black sabbath, could talk about how the music was so influential while being a simpler sound than most modern metal
Judas Priest's jugulator = better than anything metallica has ever made imo
People don't like Metallica because they are not 14 anymore.
Clemie Cat, me too.
Yan Doroshenko 28. Still top 10 favorite band.
Life, Liberty And Justice For All me three
Jag the Jokester yeah I'm sure that's why they're one of the most popular bands of all time.
Well like popularity only means so much in the metal world.
I don't care what anyone else says, but Metalica is one of the BEST metal bands ever
My 5 reasons I hate metallica- 1. they turned to shit 25 yrs ago. 2. they let Jason go. 3. Load. 4. Reload and last but not least 5. they bullshit their fans. Thanks.
botG1head load kicks ass 😊
You see it that way!
i see it as a mature hard and heavy bluesy album where
the band showed their infuences and inspiration!
john labros Agreed I love blues rock
I really not a metal fan, but much to my surprise I actually like Metallica. Them personally and musically.
no 1 HE FUCKING LEFT THE BAND
Patrik Nessbo underrated comment
Patrik Nessbo period. Exclamation point. HE FOCKING LEFT THE BAND.
The reason was because lars ulrich and the rest of the band were very contradictory because they always used to encourage people to bootleg and take home videos at their concerts and things like that, then went completely back on it
you should be reviewing a lot more dad rock enough with this emo and hardcore . why do you always ignore queensryiche?
+TheZman1978 any album they've put out since I began has been reviewed. Hell, the last two releases I had to review two of em because they split off into their branching paths. I'd say I've hardly ignored them.
+coverkillernation sorry I need to go back in search for Queen'sryche in your history
My dad listens to all kinds of stuff. He doesn't criticize my music at all. In fact, he likes a lot of it. When I tried to introduce him to Animals as Leaders, he told me he already knew them.
metallica r the best y would people hate them
Listen to Testament and overkill and you’ll see they ain’t the best
Atheism4Life Bitches Even though your name is atheism4life. James Evans it's not a big deal
lady gaga is a great musician, one direction is a shit band, metallica was great but now they’re weak.
anadraps - Lady Gaga was great? Metallica is weak now? Dude you are fucking insane
The Garchomp Tamer if you’d care to explain your points to prove me wrong i may agree
I completely a hundred percent agree with the top 5 reasons people started to dislike Metallica I for one a long time listener from the beginning feel a hundred percent correct with your answers on this good work
5 Reasons we love One Direction
+xSneaky Reptile theres only one direction, so it's easy to follow.
xSneaky Reptile or not
xSneaky Reptile cool Alister black picture
5 reasons we hate Metallica?
5 - Kirk Hammett can't play for shit and constantly forgets riffs and solos
4 Lars can't play drums since the late 80s.
3 They sold out
2 They released St. Anger
1 Metallica vs Napster.
i just don't like Metallica because of james hetfields voice...
What's wrong with his voice??
+blake kersey nothing. i just don't like it
yEeEeEeeEEeEEAaHHHH
dude u're talking so right things like take my mind and say everything that i've ever think, Thank you man
Five reasons people hate Slayer.
To me they are the AC/DC of thrash metal. All their songs sound the same.
+John X Only pussies hate Slayer.
Sorry guys I jus love Metallica. Despite all this Metallica changed my life and has inspired me to want to be a musician
