Loved this conversation. Special standout for me 1. Discipline is prioritizing the needs of your future self over your present self. [My Favourite] 2. [It is something I am still struggling with] Thank you Chase, Steven and the team
My new year's resolution this year was to show up for myself at least once per day but I wasn't too sure what I meant. Then Chase said "I set my life up in every way I possibly can as if I were a butler for future me"....that was a lightbulb moment for me. There were so many pieces of gold in this episode I started taking notes. Thank you so much Chase and Steven
One of my favourite people to listen to, Chase Hughes. Extraordinarily accomplished man whilst being very grounded - a rare gift. " Can you move slower than the other people in the room?" I'm working on it Chase.
I have been able to fairly successfully do the slow moving and I can hardly believe how well this is working out, improving so many things that go beyond the scope of a YT comment. And Chase is a very good American. 🇺🇸

Love your show. Yet another fascinating guest: Chase Hughes. Trying to get some of his quotes here: 1) Focus on comfort in conversations. Move slower than the other people in the room. Fear speeds our bodies up. 2) composure - make yourself small so they're more comfortable. Or make themselves big so others get away. Get out of the swing. Authority: confidence, discipline, leadership, gratitude and enjoyment.... Change world view, not your posture. Form a relationship with your future self. How would I teach it to a dog. Get dopamine from good sources instead of bad. If I can live off camera the same way that I want to be perceived by everyone in my life .... Blink rate - slow is focused, Almost zero is someone wanting to manipulate another person, fast is high stress.

This has been so helpful for my life personally. Thank you. What a fascinating discussion. Just yesterday I was seeing images on X of a young woman who was set on fire deliberately by someone on the subway & no one helped her, people just stared at her burning, including police & she died. It's a massive urgent wake up call to us all. Are we still human?

I had an accident at work once and people stared and I was burning from hot oil. So I made a decision to scream because it was too slippery for me to walk. Another person came running and rescued me because it was a natural way to respond. Once I was frozen in fright and couldn't get my body to open a door knob for what felt like an eternity. And then I couldn't bring myself to knock loudly enough to rouse the apartment building superintendent for help in the night. I was unable to sort which rules to follow. Another lady said she couldn't remember her husband's phone number in a crisis. So she wrote it by the phone. My children don't understand unusual commands given by others in unusual ways. The German will come into a room , non blinking, self-confident and will win you over. Trump is a German and has this technique in his DNA. When she informed me of this I couldn't even believe it!!! mental illness runs on both sides of our family!! This is never the answer!!! Thank you soo very much for bring this to more people's attention!!!

This is so true. My confidence is shattered and I am not comfortable in a conversation. But I was getting better through meditations and learning to love myself, so I was able to recognize when someone was manipulative and say the right things, even without any training. But over time the manipulation wore me down. I would like to do so much better! I wish I knew Chase over the last year! I am grateful for his teaching.

What a great source of information, wisdom and insight. I’m never not amazed at just how many people like Chase, come from a strong military background. The American military “system” has turned out an extraordinary number of really bright, insightful ‘agents’ of both fortune and change. My 27 year old son is a USCG rescue swimmer, and the mental and physical training they put him through was extraordinary, and incredibly difficult. However, well worth it. TBH - the transformation & impact is not insignificant. As always, steven, thank you for putting out such meaningful, worthwhile content. It’s much appreciated, and I’m looking forward to enjoying even more in 2025!
The modern-day stoic is a myth... I'm glad this interview has nothing to do with that .... What I gathered from this... It's just a better way to be a collected and put together human... This interview is priceless.. I'm sure I'll listen to it several times.. Thank you, C

I do the same with my morning coffee…when i leave the house i set things up for when i return, i will turn down my bed early evening so it’s inviting when it’s bedtime….I leave myself notes…you did this, don’t forget that…i will create a delay send email with information I’m going to need later, then i don’t have to manage the information, past me arranged future me to receive it at the right time. Its a dopamine hit for me.
Chase Hughes got onto my radar a couple of days ago. Ever since l have watch a bunch of videos where he is interviewed. Most of them did not draw much out of the man. This interview is the best, at least for me. Thank you for you skill Steve.
I love when people take notes on the conversation and put them in the comments. It makes it so much easier for me to write down things that I have learned from the conversation later on in my journal. ❤
This is now the 4th time I have listened to this entire podcast. This time I opened up Excel and made my dopamine's pie chart!!! WOW! Then I restarted the entire episode and started talking notes, and more notes, and more notes! The Last piece of advice that Chase gave sunk in and hit hard!! WOW!!! Thank you Chase for your extensive research and for sharing this info with everyone! Very appreciated!
This was so educational that i took notes. thank you for providing these for free, Steven. I love when Steven did the behavioral trick - elicitation - back at Chase Hughes in retaliation, Steven couldn't wait to get back at him so funny 🤣🤣
I was actually sincerely thinking.. really hope this man gets healthy very soon, was my first time hearing him spoke, now I will try to find his podcast, so simple yet so complex. Thank you Chase
I do an absolute ton of skimming platforms like this and I keep up with this channel but it's rare that a guest is so interesting that I listen to the whole thing. Bravo 👏👏
This was an amazing interview. I love your channel and a lot of your interviews over the years. This one was definitely a top tier for me. In full disclosure, though, I've been a fan of Chase Hughes for a few years too. It was so nice to see you two come together.
He's a fraud. He was only a quartermaster in the navy. He has no professional psych ops experience as he claims. But yeah, keep wasting money on his courses.
There is, fortunately, no cure for curiosity. When it is coupled with genuine humility in a conversation with some who has let go of ego, we all can share in the experience. Love these two men and what the have contributed to my life so much❤❤🎉😮
The amount of life-changing advice that he just casually speaks is mind blowing.. 🤯 Thank you both so much for this 🤍 Sending beautiful energy your way 💕

What a fascinating mind opening interview. Thank you. It reminds me of the inevitable power dynamic in human nature . Some seek authority in others to lead them so they can follow. And some seek it within themselves to be the leader - for their own self, and for others.
I love his even & chill energy, very different from the manic female body language expert Steven interviewed recently. He’s easy to listen to speak for hours.
It's common for relationships to encounter obstacles, but there is always a solution. My own marriage faced considerable issues, but with appropriate guidance, my husband and I worked through them and deepened our connection. Solutions are achievable if you're ready to work together. Stay hopeful-there's always a way forward.
I'm facing significant relationship problems and can't stand the idea of losing him. My love and longing for my partner are profound, and I'm ready to do anything to restore our connection. I would greatly appreciate any advice or help you could give.

Parting with someone you love is always a challenging process, but in my experience, I had the guidance of a spiritual guide who prevented my marriage from collapsing. His name is Father Akunna.
I just searched for Father Akunna online indeed he is a very generous man and the most powerful spell caster that I have ever seen he brought my husband back to me with so much love ❤
I don't think I've clicked on one of your videos faster. I saw Chase's face as I scrolled through my subs, said to myself, 'is that Chase Hughes?' and here I am. Enriched and enlightened. As expected ❤
It explains things most guys don’t think about. I also learned a lot from reading a book called Mareska Manipulation by Vexoner. The book helped me understand how does dark psychology actually works. Combining tips from videos like this and the book really made a difference for me.
Magnificent! Great feedback, and a calm discussion… The only thing I might add is that; not everything is a habit, is consciousness. He gave us a good example of that by suggesting to have an AI description of the way we might look when we get old…That will give us a better understanding of how to take care of ourselves. Remember having to walk your guest around my high-school while handing out his Navy merch. Best recruiter ever, glad he was the one to bring me into the Navy. His stories in DEP will always stay with me.
If I could wish for 4 guests it would be Elon Musk, Michael Moore, Dr.Tara Swart & Chase Hughes!! 🙏
I literally commented on one of your interviews two weeks ago, asking for you to watch and/or invite Chase Hughes...unfortunately it got deleted, but - here we are!! So happy to see Chase on your show...he's such a profound human being!! As always, great work, Steven!! 👍🏼👍🏼
One of my favorites yet. Fascinating! I caught myself observing my own blinking haha
I am from a small town in southern Alberta Canada and Yes people really are unaware that this is happening.
My daughter was talking with a counselor not even 2 years ago at 16, maid was brought up in her session.
When she informed me of this I couldn't even believe it!!! mental illness runs on both sides of our family!! This is never the answer!!! Thank you soo very much for bring this to more people's attention!!!
Here we gooo🤦🏾♀️ wanting better for my life makes me scared. But then I remember that fear and excitement trigger the same feeling.
Remember you are worth it!
Wow your best guest yet. Chase is so intelligent and such a nice guy.

@@CrazyLikeChris Why do you think they are a bot?
@@BARKYH There is barely any comments actually discussing the topics addressed only flattery of the guest and steven(which is fine) But they are in a smilar format. It's the same on every other episode even when there are controversial topics...
@@CrazyLikeChris There are also a few commments about like, marriage and relationships. Which isn't what the show was about.
These skills set us up so that we're not manipulated, bullied, overlooked, trampled, blamed unfairly. The list is endless. I'm listening closely 😊
I have had a conversion to the Catholic faith, my trust in God, and prayers have helped me in every way in my life. Ask for faith, talk to God and ask for help.
@ thank you
Same I also have low confidence! You’re not alone and I’m proud of you for working on yourself!!
Chase's expertise sharing is a game changer ; leveling the playing field for those who can hear it.
Thanks so much!

Excellent episode! Would love him to come on the podcast again, perhaps delving into key conversational principles more . There’s almost no limit when it comes to behaviour , communication and body language
Fabulous to see Chase Hughes on the podcast! Great episode, thank u! 😃
Especially when you watch both of their channels anyway😊
@@froggreen2067 haha. thanks!

I love @Chase Hughes . I am following him for years The Behaviuor Panel is my favorite show
Chase, Thank-you, your conversation with Stephen Bartlett here, great pace, tone, explanation with examples, and
Feel totally inspired to put into action what I've learned today.
Micro habits here i come.
I honestly already feel things are making sense and have shifted my perspectived, already. Great work, thanks again.
So happy to see you interviewed Chase. He’s a wealth of information. Can’t wait to watch this.
Thanks, Dawn!
The modern-day stoic is a myth... I'm glad this interview has nothing to do with that ....
What I gathered from this... It's just a better way to be a collected and put together human... This interview is priceless.. I'm sure I'll listen to it several times..
Thank you, C
I do the same, making life easier for future me…and i verbally thank myself. I will pack away seasonal decorations for making it easier the next time.
Chase is a G E N I U S. What a gift to get him in this longform presentation. Happy new year to all…
Chase Hughes got onto my radar a couple of days ago. Ever since l have watch a bunch of videos where he is interviewed. Most of them did not draw much out of the man. This interview is the best, at least for me. Thank you for you skill Steve.
May l also suggest you interview Robin Dreeke on the same subject.
I love when people take notes on the conversation and put them in the comments. It makes it so much easier for me to write down things that I have learned from the conversation later on in my journal. ❤
Chase Hughes is the man.
I could listen to Chase Hughes for hours. He is so interesting. I allways learn something new.

Another two hours well spent watching and listening to your channel. Thank you!

How does Steven manage to put out so many videos so fast?! I wanna watch them all but I'm lagging behind 😭
Indeed. The more connected we are, the less connected we feel.
Bro you’re KILLING IT with these podcasts . 👊🏻🥂
Yes! Two of my favourite minds having an incredible conversation. This is gold!
Thank you for inviting Chase. I love his way of thinking and I always take notes
Absolutely love this man. I wish I had all the knowledge he does. Amazing human. I pray his health struggles will go away 💛
Thank you for the prayers!
I was actually sincerely thinking.. really hope this man gets healthy very soon, was my first time hearing him spoke, now I will try to find his podcast, so simple yet so complex. Thank you Chase
Yessss!!! Love Chase and The Behavior Panel team!!
@@heycoacheva Is Chase mirroring Steven by wearing jeans and a black shirt. 🤔
I do an absolute ton of skimming platforms like this and I keep up with this channel but it's rare that a guest is so interesting that I listen to the whole thing.
Bravo 👏👏
What a compliment! Thanks, Andy.

This was an amazing interview. I love your channel and a lot of your interviews over the years. This one was definitely a top tier for me. In full disclosure, though, I've been a fan of Chase Hughes for a few years too. It was so nice to see you two come together.
Love Chase! He's such a good man. Helped me deal with my brain disorder. He's amazing how he reads humans. 🍻🎭
I’m a serious fan of Chase Hughes! This is guaranteed to be great.
Though his courses are super expensive 1,5k USD for the course and like 897* USD for his book talked about here? Hmh
@@GrewUpWithTheInternet Google "Chase Hughes lies" you'll learn a lot.
@@GrewUpWithTheInternetI don't pretend to know but I'd imagine the brain disease he's actively fighting is expensive.
@@Jennx7080 He's using a lot of alternative stuff and most of that's not prohibitively expensive.
He's a fraud. He was only a quartermaster in the navy. He has no professional psych ops experience as he claims. But yeah, keep wasting money on his courses.
Brilliant! One of your best podcasts so far ❤
Best thing to happen in all of 2024! An interview with his brilliant mind. Thank you!!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
There is, fortunately, no cure for curiosity. When it is coupled with genuine humility in a conversation with some who has let go of ego, we all can share in the experience. Love these two men and what the have contributed to my life so much❤❤🎉😮
definitely one of the best talks I've seen on the subject.
This interview is pure gold from start to finish. I will have to re-watch again and take more notes.
Thanks so much, Alexa
Probably the best podcast I have heard in quite some time. Fascinating!
Dang! Thanks so much!
Thank you ❤
I will leave that comment so when somone will like it I will notice the pop-up and watch again.
The amount of life-changing advice that he just casually speaks is mind blowing.. 🤯
Thank you both so much for this 🤍
Sending beautiful energy your way 💕
I'm just so in awe of Chase Hughes! He's brilliant and down-to-earth. It's such a gift to hear from him. ❤️
Thanks so much
I LOVE Chase and The Behaviour Channel guys!
Your human behaviour and psychology interviews, along with human-interest conversations with the likes of Dynamo and other such public figures, are the podcasts I think you’re best at conducting, Steve.
I look forward to watching this tomorrow. ❤
Yes!!
Thanks, Mezzy!
Steve, you made so many crunchy faces . You appeared a bit nervous. Chase appeared calm cool and collected. I got the feeling you were feeling uncomfortable. Your fast speaking style was even faster.
@@jonmariegarlan9170 I imagine that being in the presence of Chase Hughes is like being in the presence of the Three-Eyed Raven from Game of Thrones. I’d be nervous too.
this channel is now my absolute favorite. Just incredible information. Thank you Chase and of course thank you Steven
Thanks, Brandon!
Forgiving yourself until its dellusional, I love that. Now I understand where the ho'oponopono comes from. Thank you I loved this podcast. 🥰
Since I've watched few of your interviews I feel like my eyes opened for the first time. Thank you Steven for a quality content, for unbelievably interesting guests and for what you're doing. Biggest Thank you!
This is the best 2 hours on TH-cam I’ve ever come across. It’s a disservice that my only option is to “like” this video.
IT'S CHASE HUGHES!!! Even before hearing this, I know it's a keeper. Thank you so much for this unexpected gift!
Haha. Well Saïd. Same here
Thank you, Debbie!
Oh my goodness! Chase Hughes has so much expertise and incredible knowledge. Thank you for such an enlightening episode! I was glued to the podcast and taking notes. I’m definitely going to dig into the recommended books too!
Hey, do you have the list of the books he recommended? i lost track of the minute he mentioned the books?
I found it very helpful that Chase talked about John Nolan's book. Confidential: Uncover Your Competitors very useful book.
Chase, you never disappoint. Always enjoy your sit downs and the way you communicate. I learn so much. Ty
What a treat. You are interviewing one of my favourite people to listen to. Chase Hughes is inspiring. Which is more than I can say about my grammar.
Im suprised there was an upload today. Steven, you are allowed a day off you know!!
@@Neil.C57510 Its not that hard to click the upload button.😂👇🏾 People in Gaza manage to upload whilst in the middle of a genocide so im sure Steve can manage 🤔
Your interaction with Chase Hughes and what he shared is so valuable and super interesting to me as well.
Love the moment when Chase talks Steven into this „simple“ question „Who are you?“ 1:17:18
🙏🙏
Why was this intro the best movie trailer I've seen in years. I was at the edge of my seat the entire time !!
What a fascinating mind opening interview. Thank you. It reminds me of the inevitable power dynamic in human nature . Some seek authority in others to lead them so they can follow. And some seek it within themselves to be the leader - for their own self, and for others.
Chase is brilliant. So chilled as well
I love his even & chill energy, very different from the manic female body language expert Steven interviewed recently.

I'II quickly search for him online. Thank you.
I'm optimistic that taking this approach will yield results for me as well; his absence is keenly felt.
So glad to hear it!
It explains things most guys don’t think about. I also learned a lot from reading a book called Mareska Manipulation by Vexoner. The book helped me understand how does dark psychology actually works. Combining tips from videos like this and the book really made a difference for me.
Magnificent!
Great feedback, and a calm discussion…
The only thing I might add is that; not everything is a habit, is consciousness. He gave us a good example of that by suggesting to have an AI description of the way we might look when we get old…That will give us a better understanding of how to take care of ourselves.
THANKS FOR BOTH OF YOU, blessings 🙏💕✨
