We have wanted to tile our back splash for months but just don't have the money. I love this idea! Do you think it would work to paint the pennies a different color? Like black or dark brown? And I'm wondering how much money it took in pennies to finish your kitchen?

Did you apply it straight onto the wall or on thin ply?
how much did it end up costing you? I am very interested in doing this.
I didn't keep track but I'm estimating around $200.

Yes! I would absolutely do it again. I like looking at it when I'm cooking. It gives my kitchen character.
