      Deborah sorry that you are having trouble with my channel. I haven't done anything different to the page or subscribers. I uploaded 2 new videos yesterday. As for not wanting you on my channel...You are one of my FAVS! Seriously one of the only things that I like about the new GOOGLE+ is that it doesn't restrict comments to a limited amount of characters (smile). I'm not sure if you are subscribed to me but if you are, can you see me with your other subscriptions?

    Wow!! Love it. How is it holding up? I'm considering doing this

    • @FRUGALNISTA
      @FRUGALNISTA  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even with a flood, repair of the washer then a removal of the washer this floor is holding up pretty good. I think the key especially if it is a high traffic area use as many coats of polyurethane as you can letting each layer dry completely.

    does it hurt your feet if you are barefoot?

  • @kenzob3256

    Does "stuff get caught between the pennies? Is it hard to clean? Also, Is it durable? I was thinking about doing our basement floor.

    • @FRUGALNISTA
      @FRUGALNISTA  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kenzo B No nothing gets stuck...this is in my laundry room so it's not a terrible high traffic area except in the summer time when the kids are running in and out. I sweep this floor at times and I also use a Swiffer wet mop once or twice a month in the fall and winter months. During the summer when the girls are running in and out I sweep and mop it once a week I guess. Very durable and I only used a few coats of the polyurethane. An entire basement...that's going to be a LOT of pennies (smile).

      +FRUGALNISTA Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly and for the info. The basement is about 2,000 sf., so we have a way to go!!! I will post pics before , during and afterwards.

    It is absolutely lovely! I've been wanting to do this to my bathroom floor for some time now but I'm worried about going into it without much knowledge before hand- is it ok to ask you some questions about this project?

    • @FRUGALNISTA
      @FRUGALNISTA  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure!

    • @janedoe3209

      Thanks so much! My main concerns are if it's absolutely necessary to put a top coat over it? also is it at all possible to remove the pennies to return the floor to it's regional state if need be. Since this would be a bathroom and the floor would become wet I'm a little worried about the top coat making it slick and slippery. I also rent so If I was to move and they wanted me to remove the pennies I'd want to know if I could. Thanks again!

    • @FRUGALNISTA
      @FRUGALNISTA  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a few videos on TH-cam where this floor has been put in a bathroom. The top coat is absolutely needed to seal the pennies and to also make a barrier for cleaning the floor especially in a bathroom. Even if you decided not to seal the pennies I think it would be kind of hard to bring the floor back to it's original state.
      Thanks so much for watching I really appreciate it.

      +Karen Davis Taylor I will never understand why anyone in their right mind would watch a video with the title of "THE PENNY FLOOR" especially if they can't understand why anyone in their right mind would want a PENNY FLOOR.
