    Metal never goes out of style. I love this. Do you still love it today? I am going to do this with pennies on the backsplash just right behind my cooktop.

    Did this age well? Would you have done anything differently?

    Did you finish it with something, polyurethane?

    Did you apply it straight onto the wall or on thin ply?

    Awesome! I have an old 1890s home and the walls are original plaster. What are your penny's pasted/stuck to? I saw what you used to adhere it, but it the backing drywall ?

    Hi, looks great..how did you seal the pennies when it was done, just wondering about the copper oxidising and what to use to stop it? thanks

      @coledavis1010 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    We have wanted to tile our back splash for months but just don't have the money. I love this idea! Do you think it would work to paint the pennies a different color? Like black or dark brown? And I'm wondering how much money it took in pennies to finish your kitchen?

      Yes! I would absolutely do it again. I like looking at it when I'm cooking. It gives my kitchen character.

    Very nice work. Im new at learning about root cellar designs etc. is the root cellar just for storing during the winter months? I imagine it would be extremely hot in there during the summer months.

      Deepeem Twentyeighteen Nope. Root cellars are for year round storage. Your underground water pipes don't freeze in the winter, nor do they get hot in the summer because they are buried deep enough in the earth... same concept with a root cellar. If its done right it should maintain the same temperature range all year.
