Onexplayer 2 Unboxing & First Impressions - This Thing is a Beast!

- The Onexplayer 2 has incredible performance and has made one hell of a first impression but the lack of the controller connector leaves me a little irritated that you have to order this separate with that feature being such a big draw. I'll have the final review out in a month so if you want me to test or cover anything specific let me know in the comment section.

Don't own a stem deck. But pretty happy with this machine. On the heavy side but that sceen though. In the future would want this size handheld lighter and with 120hz oled pannel.

I hope OneNet offers multiple size options simultaneously in future for different tastes e.g:
1. OneXPlayer 3 Mini Pro - 5 inch screen
2. OneXPlayer 3 Regular - 7 Inch screen
3. OneXPlayer 3 Max - 8.5 inch screen
4. OneXplayer 3 Ultra - 10 Inch screen (I personally would get this and the full sized controllers)
That thing's a gorgeous beast. But one net is a pump and dump company. In that they keep pumping out these new devices and just forget about it. No after sale services or warranty.
You can also do, hold both start and select till light comes on the bottom right. spin the sticks in a circle a few times, then press triggers and release 3 times to calibrate. Got rid of the drift i was having

I keep hearing how their customer service is atrocious you have to pay for shipping back to China if that’s true it’s a hard pass.
I wanna get one. But they come out with an upgraded version almost every 6 -8 months it seems. Im content with my steam deck but this device is a beast
Damn, I honestly if I knew this would exist 2 years ago, I wouldn't have bought an m1 ipad.
This is great and all but the price was a bit to high i love it using windows but i bought the deck because I feel down the line steam with support their device and make improvements through software upgrade and with this i Agree with another commenter who said they make newer version every 6-8 months and in less then a year your 1000 dollar plus device is already outdated
When you see Harman its indicator of a great device :)) I remember this have on Legion laptop as well.
I dont think any of the cool stuff on other pc handhelds matter until they can come a hell of alot closer to the pricepoint of the steam deck. The prices for these things just arent realistic for a majority of ppl who want them.
The real reason for this resolution is that you get perfect scaling from 800p in game. You get best of 2 worlds. Battery life and power in game running at 800p, and high resolution for normal tasks and youtube at the same time
I understand that one is able to add a Micro SD Card to the Onexplayer 2. But there is no guidelines in the instructions for doing so. And I don't see anyone on TH-cam that has done a video on this. Yes, replacing the SSD, but that seems to be more trouble than what it's worth. I do see a Slot Labeled TF on the Top. This is to the right of the USB-A slot. Do you know anything about this, or who one could contact regarding this? The manual that they included really doesn't tell you much if anything about this. Plus a large percentage of the TH-cam Video's really don't go into the basics of setting up the Onexplayer 2.

I just ordered Aokzoe, and i just feel that I should have orderd this instead. How does it compare with Aokzoe? Plus i think the screen brightness and level of details look way better on the onexplayer2.

Aok Zoe gets brighter. I believe it's 380 nits and the one x player is 350.
They both look incredible. The higher resolution makes the onexplayer 2 look more crisp though
I want one won't replace my Nintendo Switch but there's games on steam i would like to play but i don't like the mousè and keyboard setup.
So i thought about getting the OneXplayer 2 bc of the bigger screen size (8.4") but the bulkyness of it was a deal breaker for me.
So i went with the mini with the 6800u. I went with the 2tb @ 32gb of Ram bc it was on sale at $1150 down from $1500 (also if you use Paypal to purchase it, theyll give you the option to pay 4 payments every 2 weeks. No credit needed which is what i did)
Glad i went with the mini bc the size is perfect. The screen size is the same as the OLED Switch (7") just a little chunkier.
My cousin has the Steam Deck and the difference in performance is night and day. The OneXplayer blows it out of the water.
I get why people will go with the Steam Deck bc of the price. But if you can afford the OneX, i would definitely go with it
Important to note that you do NOT need to wipe the Steam Deck to install Windows. It's perfectly easy and usable to install a Windows To Go version on a micro SD and install games like Modern Warfare 2 and Destiny 2 on that micro SD. You just flip between booting from that SD or the internal storage steam OS.

Can you adjust fan speed? What are temps like at 28w with full fan speed and what ambient temp?
It's a smaller device so I'm wondering if the thermals are as good as for the win max 2

I ended up buying the ayaneo 2 and I'm very happy but i was considering this i just didn't like the analog sticks they look so small

Agreed. I need a full review of all the accessories and using this for more than just gaming. Such as a work computer, tablet, using the pen, etc.
I would like the see the next SteamDeck follow this and the switch design with a thick slate and removable controllers and at least 2 usb c ports.

It would be SO good for MMO players if the cons hand other options. Like changing the left one out for - Joystick for more buttons.

I saw that u are on adrenaline 23.2.2.. I’m also.. but I found out that frequently I would recieved a wattman error.. so u get it too? Any fix?
I have received that yet but the system did crash on me and I had to do a full recover which I might do a video on or at least talk about in the final review.

Hi man, i came from your Sceptre C345B QUN168 video, did you notice some black smearing on this monitor? Sorry for post this here but I don't think you'll see my comment on that video, which is over a year old.

There will be some level of ghosting and black smearing on this monitor with it being VA panel. It’s not horrible I my opinion especially considering the price. If you don’t want any ghosting or black smearing go with an OLED panel.
@@1UpNerdcore Considering I am coming from a +10 year old monitor (19'', 1440x900, 75hz) do you think the level of black smearing this monitor has will bother me or will I notice it? I have seen videos of black smearing on the internet of different monitors and it is quite tedious, maybe it is an exaggerated case but I do not know how this monitor handles it.
In what I've seen in your videos I didn't notice anything, but it's one thing to see it on camera and another in person.

The extra resolution is a waste, Just go 1080p Higher frame rate oled. The Majority of PC gamers are not running above 1440p on a full screen monitor. So use the benefits of the smaller screen at a lower resolutions. The oled screen quality would more then make up for it.
The onexplayer 2 has hall effect thumbsticks....they don't get drift

It can connect to a monitor because it has thunderbolt and it can do 120fps with less demanding games like dead cells, terraria, hades etc

I have installed my TF Micro SD Card to my Onexplayer 2. I have downloaded Steam. And I have downloaded all of my games. But when I try to put the games file in the E Drive, which is my Micro SD, evidently windows does not offer that as an option. C and D drives yes, but E is not offered. Any idea how one can fix this?

Can someone tell me how to get the onexplayer 2 to display in 10bit color? In windows advanced display settings it says the monitor is 8 bit. Is this a firmware issue or is this monitor only capable of 8bit?

In terms of performance I don’t know that it earns the triple price point but it still runs great. Playing games like Destiny 2 that don’t run on the Steam deck is worth it for me though.

IMHO anything bigger then 7 inch screen is better as a clamshell, otherwise this is just too bulky

I genuinely love steam os on my deck I wouldn't even want anything else on a handheld device. Just wished the decks steam os was compatible with other hand helds and isn't just essentially "big picture mode" on those devices.
If you watch what I’m using in the video it’s the Steam deck OS. They converted big picture mode to the same version on the Deck so it’s awesome.
@@1UpNerdcore its not the steam deck os its windows with steam big picture mode. A lot of people are holding out for steam os official release and yes there's holoiso but it not 100%. Steam os is linux with proton.

I almost pulled the trigger on this but they couldn't provide many details on the keyboard etc, pertaining to how you might be able to get some work done on it. In the end, I got a 64GB steam deck that has been fun and runs windows reasonably well - I can attach it to external devices and almost pretend that I have a windows laptop. Enjoy, I might join for the next iteration
Keyboard not the greatest to use. It seems like last resort if you really need it but I wouldn't rely on it.

Older games yeah,bioshock2 and maybe borderlands 2
I think that’s the point. For older and retro games this runs at a higher resolution which looks great and runs smooth 👍🏻
@@1UpNerdcore but downing the resolution on that screen to get frames is such a bummer and defeats the purpose of that beautiful screen
That's my caveat
Again you have to do that for some games like triple A titles which would be the same on PC unless your running the latest and greatest hardware. I don’t think we will see a handheld that can do triple A titles at 1600p for a couple years. For other games that can do it though I think it’s worth it.

Ordered mine in January and been seeing a lot of orders being shipped so shouldn't be too much longer.
I'm going to attempt to fit in a full fat 8TB NVME SSD and hopefully a 2TB micro-SD will be available on the market this year so as to get a maximum storage.
