A old man dear to my heart gave me an authentic Belgium made BAR in 7mm REM Mag. He bought it brand new the first year they ever made it I believe early 60’s. He given it to me around 3 years ago and I put it in the safe and never shot it before. Today I took it out and zeroed it in at 100 yards. The rifle shoots amazing and so smooth. Even though I was using lower grade ammunition ( 140 grain, Remington Core Lokt) it still shot decent groups. I fell in love the first time I ever pulled the trigger!

I own a BAR in .300 mag and use 180 grain Remington Core Lokt for deer hunting. It is way overkill for whitetail. However I don’t consider Remington Core Lokt “low grade ammunition “. The point is that that ammo works just fine for me, just my two cents here.

You got to love BARs. I have two of them. A 7 rem mag and a 30.06. They both shoot tremendously well. I get a kick out of the people that say semi auto hunting rifles aren't accurate enough for precision shooting. I'm not a reloader so I shoot factory ammo and outta both guns I can shoot moa groups with the right ammo. And nice shooting on them chucks. Years ago I had a cow dang near break a leg when she stepped in a hole one of them buggers dug.

I’m Lake Oswego, Oregon originally from Central Oregon….I remember the John Day hunts of old days…simple times.
My Father and Uncle purchased Browning BAR’s when they first came out in 1968 1969. They have certainly taken some beautiful game over the years since then. They still have those rifles both calibered in 30-06.
I found one myself from 1968 here in Portland Oregon gun shop and I snatched it up right away it is beautiful I don’t think it’s ever been fired hardly at all and it had a Bushnell banner II from about same period…beautiful condition.
Weaver mount that tips to the side for open sight use! Mine still has the hood on front sight and brass bead.

    Nothing but giblets!
There isn't such a thing as overkill when it comes to rifles. The target is killed or it isn't. Bombing a whole city full of people to kill a couple of bad characters is overkill.

Good shooting. I just love 25-06 and my 257 weatherby. 25 caliber rifles should be way more popular than they are. Good video.

@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 it’s been rough I started a new job with a huge paving company and work 6-7 days a week for 9-10 months. So it’s hard in the short amount of time I have off to get out there and make new content.
