This is the best teacher on TH-cam because he actually plays as much as he talks and everything he teaches are techniques and songwriting devices that you can use right away. Extremely practical and essential
Dear brother, you are really a good trainer for piaano playing... I am a young old man of 70 yrs old😅 ... I am having lots of passion for music... I can play harmonium and usually I write and compose music in my language I, e in Bengali... Now I am interested in playing piano, so if you can help .... I keep in touch with your TH-cam channel... I didn't know how far I can go ahead at this age.... If you can give worksheet when you are demonstrating in your channel, will be helpful to the newcomer.... With love and regards....
Hi Ratan ji! Thanks so much for your kind words and for reaching out. Perhaps you can consider one of our courses and do it either online or offline. Links are below: "Everything for Life" Video Courses: www.nathanielschool.com/video-courses Online Live Lessons & Courses: www.nathanielschool.com/
I am very new to Piano, do sing a little as well and I always fancy about what should I play along with singing to make things tight and spot on. And this tutorial just opened up the doors for me to explore more now. And yes, IT'S THE BEST BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE TUTORIAL ON THE INTERNET FOR ACCOMPANIMENT.
Took up piano in my 70's so need to learn fast! This is far and away the best thing I have seen so far. As an ex teacher seeing something work is first then students will ask how and why themselves! 👍
Wow, this video is EXCELLENT. I am a guitar and bass teacher who likes to dabble with a keyboard. When you sang it really helped to demonstrate how the concepts you were explaining compliment a vocal. Keep up the great work.
You are just such a natural teacher Jason. Everything you explain is done in an effortless way, you understand how to communicate ideas etc and this is very inspiring, as well as making learning much easier and enjoyable. Love this channel, should have a million subs! Keep up the great work! :)
you have such a wonderful sweet and beautiful voice , what a treat! 😍 And your tutorial is right to the point and super well described you got yourself a new subscriber!
Glad you enjoyed the lesson Daniel. You can learn from me with online lessons. That's how I teach Piano, Music Theory, Ear Training, Composition and more.. We have structured weekly lessons on each subject. You can write to music@nathanielschool.com or WhatsApp us at +91 77604 56847
Jason--This was wonderful! You explain things so well and you are the 1st to cover vocal accompaniment that was easy to understand that I have found on youtube. Could you please continue and make this a series of lessons with more concepts / applications for "vocal accompaniment (esp. the ballads)" covering intermediate and advance topics ??
I have a wish to sit next to him and play piano along side......It will be fan moment for me... Just loving this person like anything.. You are the BEST for EVER !!
Interesting, very inspiring and useful to get to use some of Jason's techniques and is very encouraging, thank you Jason for your time to share this gift of yours to us👏🙂, simply the best.
The music teacher I needed in my life but Jason, I’m very grateful to have found you on here. Thanks for this video it’s just amazing. Wait… you are an amazing teacher and singer! Thanks
I find myself singing along and at the same time learning new beautiful vocal patterns that sounds like they have Indian/middle eastern inspired sounds and patterns in them.
You sing super in tune, it's pretty rare to hear such precise note hitting (without autotune or post recording pitch recording software). You could do some kind of live looping acappella thing on a live streaming platform, I think it would be awesome.
Jason, first time seeing your video. AND first time seeing a piano lesson that was focused on accompaniment! This is great. I was schooled on the accordion many many years ago and a strong right hand player but recently joined a rock band and needing to find a way to accompany the band better. This is a great starter lesson to help focus on how to best do this. Will be following!
A Ton of ideas to take away from this lesson. Definitely will be trying these out and watching this one again. Thanks Jason. Always wonderful knowledge you share.
Feeling so blessed and grateful! Thank you very much, Jason, for sharing these techniques. As a beginner, I really am struggling to advance from using just block chords and making my piano playing more pleasing for our Church. May God bless you more!
I wanted to stop and say a huge Thank You I love your videos and the humble beautiful spirit that shines so brightly from your spirit …you have a way of simplifying and getting the lessons in …and by the way your voice is absolutely beautiful….Namaste ❤❤❤❤❤

super happy i found this channel.. dude i've watched all sorts of videos on youtube, and you've gotten me further quicker than all those videos combined.. thank you!
Sir u r very great teacher.. I am always watching your piano videos. Your videos are very helpful for me. I consider you as Guru. I am from Maharashtra.
Just perfect , credits and gratefulness to you Jason, truly helping out me and all songwriters composer who mostly have a keyboard and a guitar to accompany our voices namaste , we keep doing music 🎼 🎹
you are a pure genius Jason I know many people who finished music schools or advanced courses, which renders them very good technically, they know the theory, notes and all that. but they always ask me how can I come up with a melody or a solo or even to compose a song, not even knowing the notes. well I do know few notes now, but I can't read the songs and play them, I would need a month to get through it. same goes to the drums, I bought a drum kit, and I know nothing, but I can actually come up with some cool grooves, without anyone showing me stick by stick how to play it. I am 52, and I will eventually learn the notes and the theory, to get a deeper pocket of tricks. But I guess the musicality and feel is something you are born with, or you grow up with the music and become part of it.
Highly valuable content and so entertaining 😊 Thanks a lot Jason, your lessons are phantastic - and your Adele interpretations are brilliant 👏👏👏👏😊🙋🏻♂️
