Speaking as a beginner, this is the most useful, practical advice.I’ve found on chord inversions. Jason is an inspirational teacher because he doesn’t patronise his audience or try to convince us that boring and extremely limited exercises are, in fact, fun and useful. But he also doesn’t demoralise us either by pretending that technically difficult exercises are, in fact, easy to master. He’s obviously really thought about how to make these exercises fun and doable but he doesn’t dumb it down. He just teaches what you need to know without expecting the student to tackle complex rhythms, finger gymnastics or theory. This is a masterclass in how to teach……not just piano but any subject!
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I'm 50 years old piano beginner. Your lessons make me interest and happy. Not boring at all. We can see you and we can hear you singing. And thanks for you had upgrade your videos. I love white note on white background. Thx GURU. Love you.🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
These are the best ideas for practicing the patterns and inversions to get them in your memory musically that I have seen and I just spent an hour and a half making huge strides. Thank you so much !! I’ve been looking for lessons like this to help me practice without getting bored, and this nailed it
I just found your channel today and I’m so excited! As a non-traditional musician I don’t have the ability to learn by sight reading but I learn SO MUCH from your videos, such an enriching experience!! 💯 🎹 🙏🏼
Best piano lesson I've found after months of trying out different videos. So much in this one lesson that can greatly advance your playing while keeping it musical. I like your focussed teaching style it inspires me to keep pushing and improve - thank you :)
My admiration, sir! I'm just starting this journey and am so impressed not only by your ease in playing but the ability to talk while doing so is just mind-boggling to me.
I was someone that was never musical my whole life. Starting on the piano, I felt I was plodding through exercises. But with your lessons, I feel that music is now part of my learning. Merci.
I reckon most beginner piano players wouldn’t realise how valuable these exercises really are. When playing a song it’s much more interesting to change a chord into its first or third inversion and then back to the chord 1, most beginners would play Chord 1 four times instead of varying the same chord slightly. In addition….learning the inversions like the back of your hand can’t be emphasised enough….it’s the difference between a smooth player and choppy one.
You are really helpful thanks for your time you have spent teaching . I like you accent to different from Arkansas in USA. Thanks again for helping please keep it up 👍 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Jason, you're lessons are fascinating. I consider myself an intermediate, but have trouble keeping up with y o u. Keep challenging me! Thanks so much...
It’s the singing the notes part that helps me feel like I’m in a real class 😂 very helpful!! My choir director use to sing the notes so it makes it very funny and familiar but most helpful.
Thank you so much for the video. like the poly rythm you played. Can you make a special video on that. I want to see you playing in slow motion. So that it is easy for me to learn.
