  • This video explores the options available when considering purchasing an airless sprayer. I'll walk you through my experience with the Graco GXff and the Graco Ultra Quickshot. If you've got £1000 waiting to be spent, deciding which one to invest in can be daunting. I'll share how I use mine, helping you determine which model aligns best with your specific needs.

Great video Phil. When you show you kit on the job site all set up, then talk about the steps, best approach, materials and you let your brain start sharing all your experience it's super helpful. As a professional I think about buying tools way too much before I pull the trigger, like with my Quick shot which I took your advice and bought, or a Mirka, and now possibly an air scrubber. You are right let's charge more buy better tools and work smarter not harder as you say. Again great videos Phil. Thank you

Once you have the set up you’ll never look back. Having them 2 sprayers doesn’t half make a difference in the quality of the work. 👍🏻nice vid Phil

I bloody love both sprayers to be honest. I only get the gxff out if i have quite a bit of woodwork to spray, i.e panelling, doors, pic rails, etc etc. If there isn't that much then out comes the quick shot. Have to admit the quickshot is not only faster than brushing and rolling but its probably quicker to clean than a brush and roller and quicker to set up than a brush and roller aswell! It's a hefty investment but I can honestly call it a game changer for me personally.

I have a 495 which is great for house bashing, even better if walks and ceilings are all white. I can paint walls and ceilings to finish in a average 4 bed house in day and a half. As it has a 15 meter hose its not good for small jobs as it takes about 3 litres of paint to set it up. I would probably go with the GXFF as a smaller machine for woodwork and smaller jobs i.e one or two rooms. A hvlp is better for solvent based paint in my opinion. 👍

Have you got the hopper kit for it? You can then drip down to the smaller 7.5m hose

@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator I didn't know you could get a hopper kit for a 495. I'll look into it. I was thinking of a GX as a second machine. I'll stick with a brush for solvent based paints as I seem to mostly use water based on interiors and only use solvent based on exteriors. It's virtually impossible to spray exteriors where I live in Cornwall as it's always far too windy. I would end up painting the house next door 👍😂

Great video. I've just painted a room very similar to your room with similar coving, using a Wagner 250 and Graco ultra for the woodwork. The customer is super happy. I also used the Wagner for the walls, but wondered whether you'll be rolling or spraying your walls?

      2 reasons:
1.didn't wanna overload the ceiling with paint all in one go.
      2. all the stuff in the middle was a bummer to get around
      lol
but sometimes I do two passes in one.

One Apartment (65m²) floor space, walls and ceilings only. Then furniture on a regular basis but not high volumes. I've watched it but Airless Discounters day the GX FF will not work for emulsion paints. I'm leaning towards the GX21 for emulsion and the Quickshot for oils and solvent based, but I like the hopper on the FF

300 - 600 US gallons depending on what you're spraying. Factor into that the water you put through when cleaning. That's alot of paint when you're only going to use it for the odd bit of woodwork or garage doors etc. 👍
