Hi.I had a small music shop.I used to sell cassettes. I'm 53 now. They were most important famous persons I met in my life. They were normal, sincere and gentleman. We talked about 20-25 minutes and drank tea with Robert..After finished concert I tried to learn where do they stay in.Next day I waited by the hotel. When Robert go out I kissed him and arms around..He was real and gentleman. No complimants etc. Asked me yesterdays concert performance.I said time passed so fast like a dream . I said I came about 1000 km from my town to İstanbul for the concert he said please drive carrefully. I taked LZ 3 lp and they singnature LP's.While I wait for Jimmy he was shopping peddler who sells cheap imitation watches near the hotel street.I talked to him 5-6 minutes. He was gentleman a sincere like normal persons.I loved them more because most important band of history (according to me)and so normal persons like a teacher or friends.Sorry for my poor english. LZ is the most honorable band of history.Because when Bonzo died they finished Led Zeppelin in the most popular period. They could find another drummer. But they didn't choose this way because some things more important then money.I Proud of myself to meet these priceless persons I met. Thanks god created Led Zeppelin and Ahmet Ertegün(Turkih Manager discovered them) Hope they will long happily long years. I wrote this about 30-40 minutes.Bye.
Emin Kurnaz Thank for you words. Nice to read that. Indeed, they din't want to continue after losing Bonzo. What would have happenend it they continued like The Who did after 1978? By the way: Ahmet Ertegün didn't discover them, he was impressed by them, so he gave thema contract for albums from 1969-75. He was the manager of Atlantic Records. LZ's manager was Peter Grant. But Ertügn discovered one really great musician: Ray Charles. He wrote a song for him and recorded it right after Ray Charles playd it.
Led Zeppelin was the best band ever. the day John Bonham died I cried like a baby I had to leave work and go home. I saw them at the Garden New York City 1975. Was so stoned I don't remember half the concert. Experience of a lifetime. Wouldn't have it any other way. I still listen to them to this day. Go Led Zeppelin
All of these reunions of Led Zeppelin gave me goosebumps no matter if there were mistakes or not. This band in my opinion deserve all the recognition they get. After all these years I still enjoy listening to all their albums. Their music is timeless to me and always will be.
Growing up w/Zeppelin, guessing every song right at 5yrs old, got to say this show brought me me back! Love it!!!
Love Robert plant, love jimmy page. They kept the magic in the music alive. Absolute legends! ;) Tria lightfoot
Everybody keeps bitching about Phil Collins but him and John Paul Jones were the two best players that day for sure.
absolutely true! for a drummer who havent rehearsed a single time with them, and having to play with tony thompson who plays way too loud and always pushing the beat a little ahead (it was clearly his first ever '2 drums' experience), collins did a decent job that day.
and john paul jones, well, what else can i say? the man is more than reliable in every circumstance. even in the good old days, if it was'nt for him and john bonham, the best rythm section of the whole 70's, well, led zep would had been just a sloppy blues band with very good guitar riffs.
frk75 If you'd left out the last sentence in your comment, I would've agreed 100% with ya. I mean Bonzo and JOnesy are my favs too, but you can't just say Jimmy and Robert aren't fucking legends as well.
Apart from that tho... You were right, mate :)
And u really can’t blame them. JPJ got there the day of the show and Phil Collins has to listen to the songs the day of the show as well to learn them
I get pi ssed at Phil Collins every time I re-experience this ..what a Richard..
Collins was unrehearsed and had some hilarious gaffes. Especially during whole lotta love. But you can’t purely blame him either.
Phil really stepped up to the plate. He's so talented man!
Love Page & Plant. Of course nothing compares to their Led Zeppelin Days with Bonzo, but they still kicked ass here! Love 'em!
i love these guys sooooooooo much, there will never be another band like them again.
only john paul johnes have been constantly 100% amazing all this years
So has Robert. Also, Bonham's legacy is immovable in death.
DO YOU LOVE THIS MUSIC BUT IM ??? !!!😍😍😍😍
15:43 Does anyone remember laughter? Fantastic!
You could always count on Mark Goodman to ruin a moment. "I'm not going to give away the whole set, but that's "Rock n Roll" and they'll be doing "Stairway to Heaven"…I remember being so pissed at him for talking on top of the intro. Although this was a mess, this day was not about music precision. It was an amazing historical event, and in the moment, every rock fan I knew dug it.
I had the same reaction. What a tool! "Phil COLLINS on stage." Who the f***k cares about Phil COLLINS when the remaining members of LED ZEPPELIN are on stage. GOODMAN talking over the intro was a huge mistake on national, live TV. Reminds me of that Saturday Night Live sketch where a DJ is always talking over the music.
I remember the Atlantic Records show very well. Everyone stayed up waiting for Led Zepp to take the stage. That was the best reunion in my opinion.
Is it only me that really can appreciate them as they are getting older? They have a lot more personality and charm now, don´t you think? But their skills and know how in regards of their music is only improving, all the time. It costs to be living legends!
+Susanne Williamsson - I agree, Jimmy was hot & sexy then, but now-wow he makes my heart skip a beat, is it possible he's gotten even Hotter? Oh what I wouldn't give.....lol.
It was SCORCHING hot in Philly during Live Aid. They needed cooling. I'm not fooling.
This made me laugh lol.
Love 'em with all my heart and soul...whether they play perfect or not..
truly gods of rock
Neil Young has been known to play the same note in concert for over 3 years straight without a break! Thank you Neil!
Say what you will, but they are having fun at 1:30:15...And they still have more energy than Maroon 5 and Train combined, any day of the week!
I wish these guys would tour one more time they still got it and let Jon's son Jason play in his fathers place what a RUSH that would be live on !!!!
So glad Zeppelin is still going strong. That group is the best in the world❤❤😅 ❤
great chaos! loved it then, love it now.
El mejor grupo de la historia del Rock
America's greatest rock n roll band inducting the world's greatest rock n roll band
Be glad they reunited those few times
A melhor banda de todos os tempos! Respect from Brasil
So many great memories , Many can only wish they could accomplish what LED ZEPPELIN Has
I remember being extremely pissed at Jimmy for being so wasted and blowing it at Live Aid.
jack mayhoffer he was handed an out of tune guitar to play with right before the show.
Plant aged noticeably fast after Bonhams death.
Cigs will do that to ya.
CooManTunes After his son died it was noticeable.
I agree. His whole performance demeanor was different by 1979. He lost a major part of himself.
CooManTunes i observed this as well, such a huge difference
CooManTunes The death of two very important people will do that to you. He heart was shattered.
Nunca vai existir um guitarrista melhor que jimy page
Я согласен и жалею, что ниразу небыл на концерте. Исключительно гениальная группа ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
WOW......simply EXCELLENT...I JUST LOVE IT....
Best music entertainment I've heard in a long time!!! Awesome!!!
love the memories,, keep them coming...
Excellent compilation of concert clips!! Loved it! Thank you very much!
Good evening Happy Saturday. Nice to do a double header the concert's this is my 2nd one. Wow does it feel good.
Peace & enjoy.
I LOVE THIS ! Thank you SO VERY MUCH for posting !!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for presenting this Live Aid footage. I have the DVD release of the concert but Zep requested they were left off so I haven't seen this in nearly 30 years. I was only 13 and didn't have enough taste to appreciate them. I so wish I was 10 years older on that day to fully appreciate the whole event.
Priceless They will always be in my heart till my last breath
been a zep fan for 41 year's now , and I never seen plant play the string's COOL !!!!!!!!!! and neil young was a beast.
The chemistry among the (surviving) three was still there...
NIE BYŁEM. ŻAŁUJĘ. TAK SUPER MUZY !!!
What a cool concept, collecting these shows. I've been wanting to rewatch ARCO for 25 years too!!
thanks for posting this man
To Patti T Thank you! It feels really good to have someone on my side. I think they are better looking than ever, because every line in their face shows that they have lived, in the true sense of the word.
Thanks for post this!!!
Thanks
one of the best bands that ever was so cool
Un enorme placer ver a Robert Plant, tocar la guitarra, exquisito ❤
I was at Live Aid. Stairway was Good.
John Paul Jones: 'Thanks for remembering my phone number". Painful... There is, was and has always been an unidentified tension when the three were on stage.
It makes me realize that John Bonham kinda is the bridge between the 3 of them. Without him, you can feel the tension.
Thanks for this, though I can see why the Live Aid gigs have never been commercially released...
WHAT A TREAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE ATLANTIC RECORD SHOW,WOW!!! I LOVE THESE GUYS . LONG LIVE THE HAMMER OF THE GODS
Lovedddddddd!
jason was the only one who chould take his dads place with band he is awsome seen him many times back in the day mybe ill get lucky in michigan and the rumers come true for a concert
Maravilhoso poder recordar essa banda memorável!
GOTTA LOVE THIS BAND.
As bad as these are in spots, it's still better than most of the stuff that passes for music today.
Definitely!
30 years has gone since then, oh my time flies...
FABULOUS!!:)
Que emocion x dios !! Genios !!
uuffff q chimba de mucica q viva led zeppelinnnnnnnnn
Nice Zep playlist... :)
helt jäkla underbar konsert
Thank goodness Tony Thompson's drums were turned up loud enough in the mix !
Genial!!!
there is a reason they are no6 of the best selling artists of all time
Спасибо....Это легендарная группа!
Led Zeppelin Reunions/valla cuatro ases, grandiosos la verdad sin palabras de categoría.
Neil Young!!!))) "Old", but still one of the best!! I whish him all the best!! We love you!!
THAT concert/movie is the best!!!!
from Mexico led zeppelin for ever.
Show de bola, adorooooooooo!!!
the best group in live AID 85... QUEEN FOREVER N FREDDIE THE BEST VOCAL OF THE WORLD
Love the back stage banter with those guys, just like my mates, but way better
They are the best of all time. Without Bonham, they're amazing, but they will never be what they were. It really is depressing.
I was two young in 1985 to know what this meant. Still fascinating.
excelente aporte! aPOTEOSICO!
compartilhou com minha infância esta banda !!
The best
THANKS LULA,,,THIS ROCKS..
Királyok vagytok mindörökké!!!
Was there front and center. No BS when Zep hit the stage i was pushed up against the security fence with my feet about a foot off of the ground. Been to a lot of shows but never felt anything like that before or since. Phil was a great drummer but he sure stunk up the joint that night. Still would not have missed it for anything.
Я, Русский и обожаю эту группу!!!
Long live Rock n Roll
number one band forever and always
Fourth time was the charm.
Kashmir…… fire the sound man.
unas leyendas csmr que viva led zeppelin
7:55 Oops, Jimmy and Phil.
Demasiadas estrellas juntas no pueden mas que brillar---
Fantastic! Sounds great. I recorded the entire day on VHS and still have them. Even though LZ didn't want to participate when Live Aid 85 was released, I still liked them and glad I had this on VHS until great people like you were able to upload this. I always loved Robert Plant's hair....especially the '85 cut even though he didn't'. hahaaha
Just dawned on me they weren't too 'happy' about much during this time. Oh, well. LOL
Magnífico
Yes
Dans l'histoire de la musique eux reste unique i love!!!
1:11:00 savage haha
Page and Plant both know that Jones is the most talented guy in the group but they want all the glory to themselves.
HOW TIME GOES BY.
SERIOUS ROCKERS
One of my biggest dream is that one day all the great bands that broke up could get back together.. GnR, Skid Row, Led Zep, Motley(tho they're finishing the last show) and also, Beatles and Nirvana..
It's been along time a long long time since I r&r
You know what! All the bands in the world can't beat Page and Plant ! They are the greatest
