Page at his best! Nobody can touch him when he plays like this. Legend.... If you disagree you don't deserve ears.
Don't deserve ears 🤣good one
👌👌👍🤘
Don’t deserve ears. Love it!
"Hat's off to Jimmy Page" Roy Harper
I still remember this tour, it was the hottest thing of rocknroll I ever witnessed.
Saw Page and Plant live many times, and I still think this Drummer crushes! Ashame that he passed so early in his career.
RIP Michael Lee.
Thank u 4 The 🎶MUSIC xoxo
Yeah that really sux. WAY too young !! Such talent behind that kit , he really hit em super hard !
What a resume Michael Lee had. Among Page & Plant and others he gigged with more memorable bands like The Cult, Thin Lizzy and Ian Gillan.
Yeah, Michael Lee was one of the best 👌 Zep Loved the kid! He kicked ass every show! The man was pure fire!
Gone way to soon!
Does anybody know how he passed? I saw them everything they came to Chicago and Michael Lee was a very talented drummer and loved playing the Zeppelin tunes.
Zeppelin never disappoints ever. Anytime, anywhere!
Aside from the obvious, that this is an exceptional performance from Page and Plant, the drummer is on fire, Wow!!
Вони ніколи не постаріють!!! А їхня музика буде жити вічно.
Wow. It's the best show that I have seen from the 90's. Jimmy is clean and sober and killing it. Probably his best since 1977 Listen to this Eddie bootleg. Heartbreaker solo is really awesome. Because there is no downtuning, everything played in the original key, it sounds even better TO ME than the O2 concert. Although I miss Jonesy.
Awesome they show they can still rock w the best of em!
Love these guys to death ,it would be great to see them w Jason n Jonesy again 07 at the 02 was legendary we can always hope they get it together they blow away so many bands!

I'm a loyal fan of LED ZEPPELIN for half a century
The keyboard playing in no quarter really missed jonesy
Jimmy played some great music when he was stoned though
Thank you for sharing this, Mark 😊
Absolutely Awesome. Robert is pouring every bit of his heart and soul into this one. ROCK ON..Peace and Love, Janet
I love this! And I don’t think I’ve ever watched a drummer have THIS MUCH FUN on stage lol he’s enjoying the concert! Great show! God I’d kill to see them live
Michael Lee was a powerhouse drummer and he loved playing with them as I saw them 4 times in Chicago. Unfortunately he passes in 2007.
Yeah man ! But he's thinking HOLY SHIT , look at who I'm on stage and playing with !
Michael Lee..excellent drummer..gone too soon..R.I.P
Que terrible!!! He was soo greaat
What a great concert from Robert Plant too
Charlie Jones
Very sad, saw them twice, He never stopped smiling, Dream gig for him.
Wow! I didn´t know that...what a great drummer!
I remember when Led Zeppelin came out...They blew our minds..I was 19 years old when i first heard the magic. They will never be topped.
We were about the same age, and they brought a totally different sound than the Beatles, Stones, the Who & Pink Floyd. Saw them twice as Led Zeppelin & twice as Page & Plant. Not sure why they never invited JP Jones to join them, but they are in my top 5 favorite bands ever.
@@HamiltonRb I think they didn't invite JPJ because then it would have been Zeppelin without Bonham and they vowed not to carry on without Bonham. Without JPJ, it wasn't really Zeppelin. Although this is an exceptional performance!
Some envious people say that Jimmy is sloppy and only plays well in the studio. If it were true he wouldn't be considered guitar god, for me he's the best ever. Besides the technique he has that “something more”, he touches my soul, I can almost see the musical notes flowing around him 🎶🎸🎵😍 About Plant I just say this: incomparable 🎼🎤🥰 Thank you Mark this was great 👍😊
He ain't to bad here, HAHAAHhaha
I swear that looks like martin Atkins drumming.. idk yet, I'd have to stop the vid.lol yes two legends in there own rights. Miss Marcia you nailed it. Jimmy is music with soul, or What He does at home (with his soul I mean) is His business... jklol? That something extra is when like Steve Clark, you can put soul and technique in as much as on that record and not miss a note , even when you don't play them all! Then, they make the song twice as long and Boom!!! Greatness.... thanks mark... #loveisthenewtrend #drumsaremusic #glamrocket #4planetglitter
@@JasonJupiterandtheGlamRocket
The drummer is Michael Lee, if you're not mistaken. Unfortunately he has already passed away. he was very good.
Marcia! You see the special qualities in OTHER people! But that means, correspondingly that YOU are also special , as a music FAN, to notice these things! There was a programme on T.V., showing a pensioner lady, who kept going on about the BLUES. She realised things about the BLUES that no-one else would realise. Her particular favourite was Eric Clapton. She realised things about HIS BLUES style, others just wouldn't realise! Do it wasn't just bias, that she turned out to be his granny! That lady was so endearing, I would have liked to have had her cloned, so she could have been related to ME , as well! DEEJAYENPS

Thank you, you’re very kind but I am not an expert, I just like good music. About Jimmy Page, I love everything he plays, with Led Zeppelin or with other musicians, I hear him not only with my ears but also with my heart, mind and soul, so maybe I “feel“ his songs, he's just amazing! I’ve heard Stairway To Heaven thousands of times, in hundreds of different versions, and I still get goosebumps when the solo starts.
No guitar player could touch Jimmy Page... He was and is the greatest at on the spot improvising... I learned Led Zepplin ll note for note in 1976 and it brought me more success then I ever imagined..
Page's great idol is Keith Richards, who played in front of half a million people in 1969 when Led Zeppelin didn't even exist yet.
@eternityjackson3564 'u are really confused. Led Zeppelin have released its first album in 1969 and have concerted more than a year.
@@vlsmitt I know, but at the time they were a tiny amateur band who played to a few dozen people in pubs or nightclubs. But not in front of such huge crowds of that time as the professional Stones, who already had several No.1 albums back then.
@@eternityjackson3564 LZ never played in pubs although they played in tiny clubs in 1968 before the LZ I album was released. Page was well known studio player before Led Zeppelin era, since 1963. In 1964 he played guitar on Rolling Stones record "Heart Of Stone", in 1968 he played solo guitar part in very famous Joe Cocker version of song "With a Little Help From My Friends". Since 1963 till 1968 he played guitar on the records of many famous bands and singers like: The Who, Yardbirds, Cliff Richards, Johny Holliday, Jeff Beck, Donovan etc. Keith Richards was never his idol even if he very appreciated Rolling Stones as the band.
@@vlsmitt You see, these were all small places, because a studio is even smaller than most nightclubs or pubs. And Richards was already world famous with world famous hits and riffs when the younger Page was still an unknown nobody on the world stage. He admired him, but that's completely natural and nothing bad, you don't have to resist it. Page loved and admired unique guitar riffs and their creators. He wasn't jealous, and that makes him a very good character and guitar champ.
Brings me back so much memories one of the best bands ever. Led zeppelin
Savage rock and roll show..
Plant voice miraculy intact.
Fabulous.
素晴らしすぎる🎉息もつかせない程😂神様に感謝❤❤❤
The 1998 page plant concerts were the best page played since 1973 so lucky to have gone to the Philadelphia show
7/10/2000 Jones Beach , Long Island NY , and a few others ! Absolutely amazing shows
Exactly..true, 👌👌👌👍
No other rock bands come close to Led Zeppelin ! ❤❤❤😊
Of course, because the Stones are so much further ahead. And this has been the case for over 60 years. 😀
@@eternityjackson3564 Hahahaha Well, as far as guitarists, no one's ever surpassed, although some come close, close to Jimi Hendrix imo I prefer Hendrix's vocals over Plants too, myself~ Maybe I'm on the wrong concert lol
MOST HIGH!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m constantly amazed at what can be found on TH-cam. Videos like this confirm that. Ramble on!!
I saw Page and Plant in Orange County California (Irvine Meadows)and they were FANTASTIC ‼️ No Doubt opened for them! Awesome👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🎶♥️
I have watched that concert online! It's fantastic too..Irvine Meadows..love Led Zeppelin ❤❤
That drummer was the best. Great tour. Wish more was on. Thx4 this.
There are more of Page/Plant throughout the ‘90’s & yes Michael Lee was great drummer with them 🌟
Michael Lee and jimmy have that chemistry. Jimmy is very percussive kind of player. You can talk about his leads but his rhythm guitar playing is out of this world. Driving pounding rhythms. Love it !!!
Yeah, that's a great point. People don't really talk about or appreciate his rhythm guitar playing that much.
@@Zosohobo absolutely true I think no quarter is an amazing example and song remains the same too live on 12 string omg so good
Page is the most overrated guitarist ever. He is a hack amateur who was born in the right place and the right time.
Had he ben born just 10 years later, he would not even have gotten a record contract.
The guy is bloody awful.
@@johnp.johnson1541 agree to disagree my friend Pages influence on Rock n roll is timeless and thank God he was born at the right place and time , your entitled to your opinion my friend peace
@@anthonyinsetta6046 What has Page influened exactly?
All metal that isn't Trash or Hair flows from Yngwie Malmsteen.
Trash comes from Raven and Motorhead. Hair metal comes from Eddie Van Halen.
Rock in 1980s came from producers Ron Nevison, Mutt Lange and Steve Lillywhite.
There is no hint of Jimmy Page in anything they produced.
You: "Pages influence on Rock n roll is timeless..."
Odd, when you start looking, you can not find it anywhere.
Good luck!
Outstanding concert!
I saw Led Zeppelin at Live AId, 1985, Philadelphia, RFK Stadium. All the bands only played 3 songs bcz there were so many bands. Zeppelin played "Black Dog," "Whole Lotta Love,' and "Stairway to Heaven." One of the highlights of my life!!! ZEPPELIN RULES!!!!!!!
A bit too young to see the original Led Zep, seeing these shows live was a religious experience for me, one Ill never forget. Thanks for posting to relive such great shows
❤Great concert
Oh hell yeah , these two doing that material . First off I wanna say rest in peace john Bonham . And yeah a rare treat hearing jimmy and Robert do the classics. Still reinventing the blues with the new stuff . Amazing , and still kicking ass from the days of sword and sorcery til now. 👍👍👍
I find it inspiring that there are still fresh comments below for how old this post is. It just goes to show that authentic and organic music is in our souls and will never be replaced by robotic pre programmed and looped parts spliced together.
How fuckin true
What you say is true! Too bad this music here in this video is merely organic fertilizer. It is crap.

Jimmy page is great no matter what condition he is in and I will tell you why( he is the best guitarist in the world)!!!!!🦋🦋🦋
Except for Live Aid 1985. He absolutely did suck at that show.
I saw them in 96 I believe in Philadelphia, best concert of my life!
The 90s shows are heavily underrated. Most don’t even know they exist, or at least have never heard them.
You're right, I had no Idea this was out there.
You're right. I had no idea either. It's good.
Yes I have no idea until now!
I've been doing rock and roll documentaries of my own going from band to band, and became fascinated with Led Zeppelin. I quickly decided Jimmy Page was the number one guitar player in the world ever and Robert Plant was the number one vocalist in the world ever. Robert Plant has done amazing things for decades.... Much like Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney, they keep moving forward - inspiring me to do the same. Lead guitarist like Jimmy Page and Keith Richards... They're so incredibly talented they just have to keep making music.
I had no idea until this minute
Yeah, isn’t this almost incredible ? Plant makes up for lost range with increased effort and “new” repertoire, and Page is like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Back in the 80’s, Jimmy’s playing had taken such a nosedive that the occult talk became a silly gimmick, foolishness. Well in 98’( 95’-96’ had Jimmy climbing the ladder again, some early stumbling) Jimmy was just hitting one home run after another, playing new licks as well and almost shredding at times. Sloppy ? not this tour. I think many had written Jimmy off, as maybe even in 95’-96’ Jimmy was playing a lot of rhythm guitar and acoustic which didn’t allow for that much expression due to the meshing with the orchestras. Many shows “Unledded” Jimmy did play well, but 98’…..The 🧙♂️ had returned in full force.I don’t think there’s even one weak show on the tour ! Check these shows out !
90s Jimmy is a beast!
Its hard listening to No Quarter without JPJ BUT Jimmys' guitar and Michael Lees' playing is FKN out of this world
24:00 No Quarter 34:13 Jimmy killing it.
1:03:50 How many more times.
The 2 best songs in this show in my opinion. AWESOME
34:13 he just repeating the same note
how many more times that is a very nice shred indeed
He’s using a wah pedal in both songs, which I love too! Jimmy’s feet have the same magic as his hands.
So Again Once Again I Thank The Cosmos !!! They are VISITORS not from here !!! They Leave No Quarter !!! Long Live The ZEP !!!
So Jimmy's Solo on No Quarter Is What Inspired Me to pick up the guitar and join the six string fraternity I am But a MOUSE he is THE MAN !!!
I always love the freeform delivery of Page and Plant. No two performances are ever the same. Never predictable but somehow predictable vin a sense.
hence the end of Zeppelin. They said they couldn't do it with Bonham and the improvisations
Maybe you don't know music asshole

Saw this concert in Washington state George at the gorge full moon Jimmy page was on my side I was 10th row right side I thought page was on fire for that show ! The title song walking to Clarksdale kicked my ass live the lake drummer Michael Lee kicked ass rest in peace, Jimmy page pulling out the bow for how many more times was magical I really felt like I was being baptized by the rock God himself.
I love your fine memory. I'm here!
Saw them 3 X in 95 and 2 X in 98 on this tour. Jimmy was really in fine form in 98, in command of the instrument again like the old days. I never thought I would get to see him play like that. It was really something.
Ive met and chat with them in 1998 İstanbul Tour.

R.i,p Michael Lee ! awesome drummer!
If my best friend had not taken guitar lessons, and been turned onto zeppelin by his teacher… he would not have convinced me to pay 50 dollars (a lot for a high school student in 1998) to see this tour when it came to our hometown, Portland… and I would have missed out on seeing jimmy and Robert together on likely (hopefully not) the last tour they will preform together…
Michael Lee- extraordinary talent!!
I AGREE he was super talented a fine drummer sad he has passed
Closest thing to led zeppelin since the drummers passing 9.25 80......as far as im.concerned..I saw phila corestates ctr..witch is now called wells fargo. ctr...July 16 .1998...it was so fantastic I drove up the nj.Turnpike to go to the old brenden Byrne arena ..that was called the continental arena on July 18. 1998.. Great concert. Huge Zep fan here. Cool to see Shining In The Light in this set list. Never had seen it played live until now. Also Babe I’m Gonna Leave You cool to see with this line up. I wish Plant Page had stayed together longer. The No Quarter and Walking Into Clarksdale albums were great. Charlie Jones was amazing on bass. And of course Michael Lee. What an amazing drummer. Still though it was weird they didn’t invite John Paul Jones to play with them again until the 2007 reunion.
Epic solo in babe I’m gonna leave 52:32. Out of this world good
Grande postagem Brasil RS💣
It rained from the 1st to the last second of the show ! The only outdoor concert where i had to experience this, except for the stones one year later in the same city. I even caught à cold. Ah, the german weather...
My God!!! There on FIRE!!!😲😳😲
I was at the old Boston Garden show for this tour. Best concert of my life, bar none. I've said it many times on these here interwebs, and I'll say it again. Jimmy Page showed up for '98, baby. The man rivaled and surpassed his '73 self, full stop.
I saw the Brisbane Australia show. Incredible. I was wayy up the back and you could hear the detail of J.P. change pickups. They opened! with Immigrant Song and Plant didn't hold back either. Such a shame there wasn't room for J.P.J. but can't complain if you saw these shows..
LOLZ. Page in 1998 surpassing himself from 1973 is like an AMC Pacer passing a Volkswagon bug.
Not sure what’s meant by that. As far as recreating Zep, cannot be done. But Jimmy’s playing overall on this tour was amazing. He’s not sloppy, he has some new licks, almost no flubbing or mistakes( I love some of that stuff on even great Zep boots, but they’re mistakes and sometimes it can get annoying). I’ve run into other people who saw these shows and they couldn’t believe Page’s playing. To some the change in Jimmy’s appearance, a lot less hair and much more weight might disappoint. I don’t understand this, though, as soon as the show starts the master has returned. Unbelievable how feeble
Jimmy played at the ARMS shows in 83’, and here he would frighten other players half his age.
@@johnsmits2494 Why would anyone wish to recreate Zeppelin? They were a mediocre band with stellar marketing.
Page stole the idea for the band from Big Brother and the Holding Company mixed with Blue Cheer and Moby Grape. He came up with idea to steal from these bands when he saw them while on tour with the Yardbirds in California.
Page even went so far as to hire a Janis Joplin knock-off in Robert Plant.
James Gurley was a far better blues rock guitarist than Page ever could hope to be.
And by the time Physical Graffit came out, an 18 year old, Michael Schenker, had exposed Page for being a hack, having done so since he was 16.
When Page was working on his wankery that would become the Firm, Yngwie Malmsteen re-defined rock guitar with Rising Force and Marching Out.
Jimmy Page was a joke guitarist, a rank amateur at a time when amateurs were considered professionals because so few people were playing rock music.
Listening to Page whether in Led Zeppelin, the Firm, or Plant-Page, in 2021, is so cringe.
Good luck!
@@johnsmits2494 That's exactly what I meant, actually. He was back and then some. Badass

Exactly, and will do the same to all kinds of young lads long after we’re gone.
I saw them at the Garden on this tour. Page was on fire in 1998, especially the second half. That friggin solo during No Quarter here...just wow!!!
You know from ironic? Ole' Led Wallet was my personal hero as an angry teen. I was watching this and realized that at the time this was taped... I know am older than them, then.. Shit! But I'm so glad you taped this. Percy and Led were on point. Love the flowing drummer hair...like he is riding a dog team...
So nice like honey tea and love❣️
I wouldn't have complained if i saw this live. Jimi Page never disappoints. Have you ever noticed that he never has a back up guitarist, like some other ageing guitarists? It's all on him in a four piece. And Robert, of course.
Outside of the Black Crows live project Jimmy has been doing it the same way since 1969 so if it ain't broke you don't fix it.
That’s not true- Page and Plant played with that ex Cure guitarist for ages.
There are vids of Page and Plant in this era with a ghost guitarist in the wings playing bits that Page could not.
Page is horrible. Easily he is the most overrated guitarist, ever.
@@johnp.johnson1541 I'll never understand such overwhelming and hyperbolic pessimists. Even if everything you say is true, to say that Page is "horrible" is just insane. If Page is horrible, what words do you use to describe people like Lil' Wayne or Fred Durst or even people like Kurt Cobain who was a far sloppier and less technical player than Page. Words have no meaning if everything is either the "worst" or "best." Mostly "worst" with people like you.
Hearthbreaker live!
People always go on about how after 2007 O2 ...they wanted a zep tour...The point though is this.If they had toured , it wouldn't have been anything like the level of
The page and plant tours of 95,96,98Both p@p were having the final blast of consistency, singing and playing guitar to a high level, playing some rare songs in the sets unlike all zep standards.Thank god they didn't ruin it after O2. With a tour.
Julian Carver
good way of looking at it.
This really isn't that good tho
It's a great point, Julian. I saw one of the '95 shows and it was an incredible testament to their reinvention and energy. It's hard to believe that they could have touched what they pull off here (and in other pro shoots from this era) nearly a decade later with JPJ and JB. As many have said on these videos, Michael Lee was the greatest drummer to play these songs since Bonham. No slight to Jason Bonham, but I've never heard him hit with the ferocity and groove of Michael.
Jimmy would look good plying live now tho
@@KeyboardInvisibility hi yes I saw them in 95...and it was a spectacular event. So glad they did not continue on after 2007. check out all the great bootleg recordings from those page plant tours from 95 through to 98.

Saw this tour @San Jose Arena, Ca. (prolly the best sound locale ever) and never...and I mean never... thought they would play No Quarter without JPJ...#JimmyOnFire @ 30:00 ... need I say more
J.Page best G player of all time. His leads are crafted like symphonies-as opposed to the reckless chaos of everything else called lead guitar by the co-called greats.
oh tosh, he could be terribly sloppy and aimlessly noisable. They would have been much better with a rythym guitarist. no one can accomplish the texture in a song which was concieved with overdubs as was much of Zeps compositions. They required a second guitarist for best effect. Hey, fans didnt care, so thats that. But it is inaccurate to overlook page at the expense of denegrating others as reckless chaos, IMHO.
Not to compare 1 better than the other because it's what a person likes, there are players that are great you might never get exposed to if you do not listen to others. There are so many great guitar players out there today but no so back in the 1960's. The comp is much harder now than back in the 1960's.
Saw them in 98 at Shoreline CA and was incredible. Saw glad I got to see the last incarnation of Zeppelin (except for O2- and this was better).
