Mee to
One of the all time best songs of the 70's.
I'm 68 and it still blows my mind. Thanks Deep Purple
Concordo plenamente...obra prima do rock... tanto musicalmente, como no vocal Ian Gillan monstro, e Rick blackmorre insubstituíveis...
Me too, the group of my youth❤️

This song is the blueprint for metal. Others had attempted before but every component is here.
Others captured the heavy sound but a key component is the ballad. Heavy Metal became the balladeers of a generation.

My parents loved it, me and now my children....timeless music!
no digital fuckery, no autotune, no fake talent, pure artistry
Old school always the greatest☝👍☝👍
well technically the keyboard is auto tuned
We called pure skill..
Totally brilliant yes!
This is why the 70's music will always be remembered. When it came out on the radio, I bought the single, then later the Album. Smoke on the Water is another of their raw magnificent artistry.
Still gives me the goosebumps 53 years later. I am 70 now. Thanks Deep Purple .
Me too, saw them at plumpton racecourse that year tripping, happy days 🤪

I love the sentiment of your comment - but you can't count on a video on the 'Choob lasting past the end of the week, whether it's because of (usually specious) copyright reasons, political reasons (eg, artist, perhaps when drunk or joking, comes out with an 'unfashionable' opinion), or just unfathomable algorithmic reasons that even the platform's code writers don't really understand...
@@richiehoyt8487 Five hundred years from now, I hope this video will still be available for children in time to enjoy. Just to trip out and witness This that was once.
@@brian22067 Indeed! I agree absolutely. Music like this ought to be preserved just as much as that of, say, Mozart's so that future generations can appreciate and enjoy it.
Maybe, this is the most historical live show in the music industry. All the band members are totally living it, and the sound from the instruments is JUST perfect.I’ve listened to this song on the radio so many times, so i don’t love it there, but the LIVE experience here is something else. It’s just like an anthem. God bless Deep purple, this is good music for real.🤟

This song is a masterpiece. I can't believe it's been over 50 years since it was released. I remember listening to this song when I was a kid. It's great to see that it's still popular today.
And nothing has changed😢😢😢
geniales Musikstück, habe ich als Teenager gehört 😃👍
Miss you Jon. I was around 10 when i first heard Jon Lord play. At the time i was learning piano. This motivated me, i was hooked on Jon Lord from that day on. A modern master on keyboards. RIP
Hot rod , front row parking, Newport Beach , doors open, 8 track playing this as loud as hell
Crowd gathers, seems like none of them have ever heard this song. Their minds are blown, jaws
on the sidewalk, that was the start of a good day.
Best performance ever! Ian Gillan one of the best voices!
THE BEST
Stimmt !🙋♂️
I bought this album when I was 13, I am 64 now and that scream still sends chills up my spine!!
Yes sir, I was a kid and loved it.....did not understood the lyrics, but now it takes all its sense. To why I love it.
Holy Crap!! Am 56 and that scream made me have an epiphany that I think King Diamond was influenced by Ian Gillan lol!! I LUV This Performance!

God Bless Ian Gillan ❤️🔥
And mine fab rock that stands the test of time
Ian (Gillan’s) unmistakable screaming and voice,
Ritchie’s unmistakable guitar playing.
Ian (Paice’s) unmistakable drumming
Jon’s unmistakable piano/keyboard skills
And Roger’s unmistakable bass playing

Ein Sahnestück der 70er Jahre.....Musikgeschichte.
this audience did not yet know that they were participating in one of the greatest performances in the history of music
Probably even the band didn't know
I'm sure they did but there was just so much great music back then they probably just took it for granted.
They look like they didn't even know what they were doing! Almost like they were all dead!!
But they applause @ the end ...
This live is the most perfect version of this song. When I heard first time, I doubt my ears... Incredible screaming and instruments were balanced perfectly without any dissonance. It is real masterpiece!!!
Indeed, a heritage for rock singers - screem your existense like a child in time ...
Of course.... both the screaming and the balancing of the instruments are amazingly perfect...... But it seems to me. that the main thing here is incredible drive..... That is why, in my opinion, this option is the most impressive of all.

I went to a lot of concerts in the 80's and these guys played so loud, my ears would ring for three days. The controlled whaling screens, the vibrations from the organ, the smoke, and lasers with the neon DP logo glowing. It was awesome.
As a teen while I enjoyed Deep Purple back then I never realized the deep of talent. 50 years later I see the light.
same haha😂
It’s music that never gets boring
Yes, it’s opera
I understand you!❤
I am born too late.... (2001)
And i hate the music (and everything like houses, cars, clothing and so on) of this time (2023). The music is fucked. The people are fucked. Everybody looks and dress the same. The cars look like clouds. Old cars are more rectangular in shape. I think everything after the year 2000 is wrong or ugly. And from 2000 to now (2023) has gotten worse and its gonna get more worse. I didnt live in the 60s and 70s, but i love the 60s and 70s. I try to have everything of the 60s and 70s or older. And if i had a time machine i will pack my stuff en go. If i cant return back to this time where i live now (2023) i will be happy asf and live a happy life. I am 22 years old now and it was the best to live around my age now (22) in the 60s. Born around 1940-1945 not in 2001. Going to woodstock and monterey pop and live happy. I dont like it here and i understand that "older" people always say "Everything used to be better" (in dutch "vroeger was alles beter"). And i understand there where some bad things happening, but i think every time has bad things. And i like the 60s and 70s more, then how the world is now. Not only the music was better. The cars, houses, clothing are all beautiful. Now everything is ugly. The houses, clothing, music and so on. The difference how people do to each other is so different. And i didnt live in the 60s and 70s, but u truly believe the 60s and 70s where better then it is now. And the people where different. My grandparents are lucky with there age. They were born around 1940-1945, but i dont know why but they didnt like this kind of music and other things.. i will trade and be dead before 2000.😂 (sorry if my english is not very good, thats because i wanna learn, but i only speak dutch and i never speak english or other languages)
Amazing hard rock of all times.
Ian Gillan's screams are insanely good here. Considering this is live, it leaves me even more speechless...
No solo tocar y cantar, transmitir emociones.
I loved him with Black Sabbath too
He had a ridiculous vocal range and his screams in this song are haunting. His slow vibrato in this song is great as well. It's definitely an awesome performance!
Screaming in tune is a rare talent, a talent that Mr Gillan has lots of. :))

We will never have another Ian Gillan, Robert Plant, Ronnie James Dio, Freddy Mercury or Bruce Dickinson. Not with nowadays music standards that's for sure.
You got that right.
Tears flow with emotion with Gilan's screams, what a singer, what a voice, great rock thanks, greetings from Patagonia, Chile.
When I first heard Petr Elfimov's cover I was knocked out by the purity and brilliance, but listening to Ian Gillan again, there is so much more passion and emotion. Technically Elfimov is superior but he borders on being robotic. Nothing to touch Deep purple!

The alias Marvin used "Claudis" IRL Claudius was a Roman consul who seemed as weak for a person in past then he start ruling his way to become the emperor.
Episode 20 showed how brillaint strategist Marvin is and how ruthless he can be. He was not like Kate destroying Red's empire and Red by legal works, unrevealing red's crimes. He killed Red's weakness and made him the leader Red needs to be. He killed people who was about to reveal his plot in Red's name.
He was almost killed by Kaplan and got arrested, always took trouble for Red, Red tortured him and now he was about to kill him. Apart from that Marvin was like a backbone for Red's empire like Dembe, Kate, Teddy etc. After all this he will accept Liz as his Boss?? Liz was an unworthy for Red's empire, Marvin could've ran that for Red.
@Geoffrey Morrison According to the history books, Ian Gillan joined Deep Purple in June 1969. The original JC Superstar album was recorded in 1970. But a brilliant choice regardless. Saw Gillan with Deep Purple about 6 years ago - he's still got an amazing voice but it's not quite enough for Child In Time. The band stopped performing it live in 2002.
I liked it when he sang: 'aaaahhhhhh aaaaaHhhhh AAAAAHHHHHHHH' Very popular at the dentist office I bet (assuming they have those in Britain).

This is one of the most beautiful and most perfect (from the technical point of view) songs ever! Every player excels in playing his own instrument/voice. They all play at the same time, nevertheless you can perfectly hear and feel each of them separately. So beautifully and so perfectly played, it seems that every note of each of the instruments was written keeping in mind every single note of each of the other instruments. Amazing!

I am going to see them live on Saturday! Woo hoo, hope Ian Gillan does this one. I consider myself extremely lucky. The gig has been postponed for 3 years due to covid. Support act are Blue Oyster Cult, who I wasn't that familiar with so been listening to them on youtube. Like them, so looking forward to it. It's not even sold out, so don't agree with the person who said tickets would be going for thousands of pounds. Mine were only 60 odd quid and are row G!!! No idea why they were so cheap. Gig is in Glasgow, Scotland. Maybe we are so mean we refused to pay any more and in other countries they are indeed going for thousands of pounds. Yes there is some truth in the Scottish stereotype I'm afraid! Hehe. Will report back next week. I saw the stones about 5 years ago and they truly put younger bands to shame, I have a feeling these guys are gonna too.
This song represents all the aspects of 70s music: great songwriting, melodic parts, noise, volume changes, velocity changes, improvisation and brilliant instrument playing.
For what it's worth it reflects on the criminality of the Vietnam era, the utter protest of the senseless suicide of those sent to their death's due to the political garbage that's jabbed down the unknowing gullet of souls lost to time.
it was written in 69 btw
Si parece una tocata y fuga en do menor de j.s.b
it's garbage.
It's a intricate song with so many layer's to it
Ce artisti avea Deep Purple in acea vreme, sunt greu de găsit in ziua de astăzi. ❤
my band in 1998 always play this song for the our concert and festival band. i realy2 love this song.
I love the audience... so 70's and haven't a clue they are watching absolute legends
Hello Suzi, how are things going with you?
The audience does know, they sit because they were told to be quiet as this is a live recording..I know because I was in the audience….
Those little kids in the front row look bored--
The audience look like they're waiting for a bus that's late.
Sort of surreal in hindsight.
That's what i thought... The wanted to hear "Howard carpendale, Es fahrt ein zug nach niorgend wo"... Ein schlagersong that says as much to you as this incredible song says to them...
pure talent!!! thank's a lot Deep Purple!
