Chad , you are killing me. It is impossible to not get these releases. Every release so far has been stellar! When you reached down to get the 2022 releases I knew I would be in trouble. The work your company does is unmatched. I have already gone this far . might as well just continue WITH THE COMPLETE SERIES. No question. Thanks for your efforts and enthusiasm.
Right!!! My bank account has been consistently empty, since my local record stores started getting their restock orders of the Acoustic Sounds Verve/Impulse Reissue Series. Killing me!! In a good way…..
Thank you for everything you do. I have been enjoying the Acoustic Sounds series and have been buying as many as possible. I loved seeing the footage of how the records are packaged. I didn't realize how much individualized attention goes into each record. The hype stickers are put on by hand. ♥️ I'm so excited for 2022. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
It's funny, the comment you made about Ella and Louis, because I'm a teenager that thought I didn't like Jazz until I hear that album. Ella and Louis is now my favorite album of all time. I even went against my standard procedure of buying originals and bought an Analogue productions copy of it in the summer. As a matter of fact, I bought it from y'all, and am very happy with it. That was the first product I ever bought from you, and I couldn't believe you used that industrial of a package lol. Anyway, as someone who didn't like Jazz less than a year ago, I now have a sizeable of jazz lps and CDs. Mostly Blue Note, but I love the impulse and Verve stuff too. Y'all do great work!
I just got the Mingus Black Saint and the Sinner Lady reissue and I just have to say how delighted and pleased I am with the quality. It’s my first purchase of a reissue from you and I couldn’t be happier with it. The quality of the sleeve alone is amazing, and the sound is sublime. One of my favorite albums ever in a completely affordable beautiful package. I’ll never need to buy it again. I’m totally fulfilled! Thanks to everyone involved! I look forward to more purchases from the 60th anniversary line of releases! Cheers!
Chad isnt lying folks, buy now or cry later, I preorder and pick up, Im not playing no games here. I got the Love Supreme when it came out and it sold out almost immediately.
Amazing series. Please repress Satchmo plays King Oliver on AP, please! Thank you for your quality control; AS/AP is my favorite reissue company by far.
I want to thank you for Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus . What a beautiful sound. Unbelivable. I am the whole day excited. Thank you very much for your team. When Will you do Archie Shepp with The way ahead ? I know free jazz is not so populair but this title is really bluesy and great. Greetings from Holland.
Pure Pleasure just released a great title by Shepp and Mal Waldron. They also do a lot of free jazz stuff if you're not familiar with them - really high quality pressings.
I have all of those 2021 releases except the two Mingus titles. Outstanding records and pressings. My local dealer gets every one of you releases put aside for me so will get the 2022 ones too… 😃
Please reissue Alice Coltrance's A Monastic Trio, Ptah, The El Daoud, Huntington Ashram Monastery & Journey In Satchidananda! we need AS AAA reissues for these amazing albums!
@@scabcastle5786 Hopefully there was more than one copy, in more than one location. Alice Coltrane's work was definitely named as going up in smoke, but do other copies exist? I really hope they do.
Any chance the Getz/Gilberto will be reissued from the AS verve series? I know there’s the AP available but was hoping to save some $$ Would love an update!
You are saying these are in stock but you're not supplying the repressings to distributors. I'm in Canada so import costs, shipping cost and damage is a no go, and my local record store has had Ballads on order for 8 months now and they are not being sent any copies. They got a few copies on release date but nothing since then. So is AcousticSounds US site just hoarding all these?
I'm also in Canada, very similar experience as well. I'm anxious and excited at the prospect of getting my hands on A Love Supreme. Its one of the very few within this series I initially passed on at release, I just wasn't ready for it. I believe part of the issue for us Canadians as I understand, is Universal no longer has a warehouse/distribution center in Canada as they've closed it. They are relying on 3rd party distribution for the Canadian Market. Must be part of the reason I believe most new releases from Universal tend to be slow to stock vs. their Street Dates. I'm noticing anywhere between a 3-5 week lag between US Street Date and when I see them list north of the boarder. Blue Note releases especially. However, the last couple from the Acoustic Sound Series (Mingus, Ella) made the revised release dates as published, and many local shops still have stock which is excellent to see. Hoping this trend continues.
Chad, have you considered selling these on subscription basis, similar to what we had with the blue notes and prestige series? Basically those with subscription will receive them as they are released. Miss those days. I have a lot of these titles as part of the “old” Impulse series subscription but certainly would not mind extra copies. Thanks
These are not numbered editions and it's a lot more work to make sure the consumer gets their same number than you could ever imagine. So we're leaving it up to the customer to buy what they want. I would recommend you pre-order what you want as you see them being announced. This ensures you to get your records as soon as possible. Thanks.
All of these releases have been pushed so far back. The new releaes do not have release dates. Best believe I will still get all of them once they are out.
Analogue Productions is Acoustic Sounds in-house label. And we did raise the prices a few months ago to $40 for a single album. This series in this video is the Acoustic Sounds Verve Series that is owned by Universal Music and their prices are still the same. But will probably be increased in the next month or so. I thought that I would let our customers know this so they could buy what they wanted now.
Sometimes mistakes happen! Hopefully you got it resolved, if not and you bought it from Acoustic Sounds, please call and we can help straighten things out. Thank you.

@@acousticsoundsksWhat I mean is, there has never been an Acoustic Sounds, Music Matters, MoFi etc reissue from the original master tapes.
