Glad to see someone finally acknowledging an album I’ve been recommending on my channel for over a year! Helen Humes. I’ve got an original but I’m excited to see what you can do with it Chad. Many thanks.
Yes, finally, Shelly Manne. And “For Real!”? “The Cry”?? Holy smokes. Now you are cookin with heat Chad. Amen and amen. Hoping for Teddy Edwards “Teddy’s Ready!” my favorite Edwards title and hard to find.
HI, Chad. Please put Sonny Rollins Way Out West on Sacd if possible. I missed out the first time. I own dozens of your Sacd's, all of which are exemplary. Even the red book layers are of the highest standard, which is a testament to your integrity to capture what took place in the studio at the time of the recording. Thanks.
Chad… Chad… May i be frank? You are doing a great service for Vinyl fans, and seems to me you might just be keeping SACD alive as well. I’m giving you credit where credit it due. Thank you for the work.. it’s notice, appreciated, and we can’t even begin to imagine all the work it takes to make these releases happen. Truth. However, in all fairness, i believe, inadvertently, you’re overlooking your SACD community. This is how it feels. I see all the announcements about SACDs being released - and then, they don’t come out with the Viny, months or years later,…or, in some cases they get canceled altogether…. man… i dont think you realize this puts we SACD fans on a roller coaster ride we really don’t want to be on. I ain’t mad, though…this just is. I know it’s absolutely NOT intentional, and because you’re not a SACD fanatic, you likely think nothing of it. All good. Just is. FACTs So, here’s a thought - now that you’ve heard how part of your business customers (and fans) feel…. Start a separate channel - name is “Acoustic Sounds - Digital”. Maybe even a email subscription list to “Acoustic Sounds- Digital”. This way, we know to set that channel to hit the bell whenever your team makes a SACD announcement… then, we know the titles will actually have release dates - just like your Analog division. Then, we can get excited like the analog community about AS vids and email marketing again. This saves us the time, as well, as getting excited about your new videos on new series and releases…only to find that SACD wasn’t covered, wasn’t promised, and whatever was announced has an ‘maybe’ date associated with it. This leaves a lasting impression… and not a great one. Add to this, i personally would do more on pre-orders, but…umm..yeah.. see above. So, i just buy when they show up on the site. Again, i ain’t mad… just is.. FACTs. Anyway, thanks for all the work in the analog space and bothering with us Acoustic Sounds - Digital fans. Best of luck on the new series and 2024
Oh man, this is going to be awesome. I'm going to have to get a bigger house if this keeps up. ;-) It's so great to see some new reissues to start coming out; not the same old reissues we've seen a million times (except "Way Out West"....do we really need YET ANOTHER reissue of this?). Overall, great job Chad.
Hi Chad, I was lucky enough to pickup most OJC (& OBC & K2) CD cutouts at my local Newbury Comics stores for $4 or $6 from around 2005 to 2015. Every week there would something new, it got to the point where I'd blind buy (with no disappointments)! With the help of Bernie Grundman you should include an insert sheet with the history of Contemporary Records with the LP. Good luck with the series.
The releases will be fantastic. I know that you are going to kill that Sony Rollins release. I have an orginal mono so, I'm looking forward to what you are going to do with it.
Everyone seems to be so happy about this so ill be the one to comment. Wow, more boring old people's music 🙄 Sometimes you need a little balance ya know
Good music is good music, doesn't matter your age, lot of young people are heavy into jazz and blues. Just because the biggest music movement that changed everything and produced some of the finest music ever written happen when you weren't around, may diminish it in your mind, but multiple millions would disagree with you.
I think more to the point is that you need to expand your musical library. We all start out quite narrow minded, as you get older you’ll start to appreciate more genres including the classics.
Who wants/buys these titles? I really don't get it...sorry! AP makes top qualliy pressings and is one of the best in the business, BUT this stuff is for a very very niche group and not interesting for the average vinyl buyer, that's for damn sure, not ever CLOSE!

Thank you chad for reissuing these classic jazz records in such a high quality yet affordable package. Going to buy the run
Yes! This is my very favourite of all the ongoing reissue series, no matter what label! So happy to see this being continued =)
The Thelonious Monk Riverside Boxset seems to be featured in these update videos. Will that one be re-released? Thank you all for your work!
The one I saw in this video said "the tenor sessions" I believe. But boy would it be nice to get a complete re-release of that Riverside Set!
Hi Chad,
Happy New Year 🎉
Awesome lineup!!!
Thank you 🙏🏾

For the jazz lover, these are very good times.👍👍👍 ???Is there anything interesting on the blues front from AP/QRP coming out in 2024???
So what is that Thelonius Monk box set doing just sitting there on the desk?...
excellent news Chad! what about "Everybody Likes the Hapton Hawes Trio Vol 3? another great approachable jazz title.
Just saw the upcoming titles on Craft’s site. This batch is absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Chad! When will the Verve/Impulse AS series for 2024 be announced?
John Coltrane, Ascension. Fingers Crossed.
@@flyingsommOh yes!!
I wonder if the UMe Verve By Request series has taken that over. Hopefully not.
Some gems in there.

Harold Land and Howard McGhee! I think I have some of these, the Webster and Humes for sure.

@Chad, it would have been cooler if Land’s The Fox was reissued with the original art.
