The parking brake goes back down if you just lower it while engaged, then pull it all the way up and disengage it normally.

Love that you guys always take the time to talk us through things and share your learning pains through it all. Loving the progress! A little weird but I hope this goes on longer because you just don’t see “builds” like this normally.
The parking brake handle should be able to be pushed back down even while it's engaged. Standard practice for left side brake handles so you can get in and out of the vehicle.
Looking great so far gents! I do the same to all my disc brake rotors. Prevents that light rusting and staining especially on daily drivers. I hope the gearbox doesn't end up too bad. Maybe just a set of synchros or bent fork.

Hoovie's 355 burned down. So it does happen. The fuel lines have to be adjusted. Tavarish made a video about what happened to his. Tavarish bought Freddy's car and was going to rotary swap it, but dropped that project.

From what I've seen its the plastic top hat on the fuel pumps that crack and leak. It probably has 2 and I THINK the whole convertible top "cassette" has to come out to change them on the spyder.

I’m only an aspirating internet mechanic however my brakes never squeal! I achieve this by applying grease only to any metal to rubber friction points and also on the rim of the piston. I do not paste the whole back of the brake pad or just randomly brush it everywhere. Metal to rubber contact points or moving parts only.
Any excess grease will actually make the brakes squeal more once dirt particles have clogged the area.

These pads on the brake pistons are anti vibration and blocking heat to the pistons! A lot of Porsche have it too! ;)

The backing pads with the inserts are anti squeal devices, should put new ones with the new pads. My 911 has the same and they were so noisy without those installed and stuck to the pads.
