Finally, an true faithful recreation of the legendary Charger. So many get it wrong with the wrong wheels, supercharger, window tint, ride height etc. This ticks all the boxes. Every detail is spot on. Your attention to detail does not go unnoticed. Truly remarkable work!

@@JustDriven absolutely and if one hasn't done a build before and have only seen the finished product, they can not truly appreciate what goes into this. Putting an engine in, then finding out it needs to come out or be completely replaced is a bit crushing. Social media isn't always real life, in fact it's becoming more rare to see real life. Everyone just wants to see the good but sharing the bad is one of the best things you can do! It is very helpful actually.
You are 100% correct. In our dyno video we discovered a truly alarming missing piece to our puzzle. We took what was said in that video to heart and disassembled the blower again to add the recommended part. We learned something new that day. Now the build is better for it!
The budget for the Eclipse, unfortunately, is not quite the same as the Supra and Charger. The Eclipse is being built for a charity who supports Veterans.
That is a loaded question actually. They are a great source for off the wall parts and builds. We think it might be too much to ask for a full ground up build like ours.
If you guys start narrating the parts we're reading, you'll almost certainly see positive spikes in your channel performance. These are amazing builds and all that time spent wrenching leaves less time for edits, but if there's a min or two here and there, I think it'd be worth it. Thanks for the awesome content.

One thing that caught my eye: in 18:28 you can see the spark plug wires go to the back of the engine, but in your build the distributor is in the front. Googling didn't give me a solid answer, seems they all have the front distributor. Was it movie magic / prop maybe?

As I work on my 70 Charger R/T, its crazy to see some of the minor differences that you guys have done to this that really make the end result come together. I'm curious, why not remove the wiper motor and brake booster when painting?
We have tried really hard to make this as civilized as possible for street use. We had plans of taking this to cars and coffee events without a trailer.

A 36 minute video doesn't do this build justice. That charger is amazing because black is the most unforgiving color. And moving the engine and driveline 1.5 inches may not seem like a big deal but that couldn't have been easy. I am finally caught up on most of your content. Can't wait to see the Kenmari finished as well. The supra with Craig is top notch. He was right the wheel fitment definitely needed fixed lol. Keep the great content coming.

@@JustDriven I know. I have a bone stock 74 Charger (3rd gen) that was a popular body style in NASCAR but not on the street. Very slippery aero-wise vs. the 2nd gen (hence why Dodge made the Daytona which ultimately got banned). 3rd gens are hard to come by, too, because most just rusted away and they weren't made popular in TV or movies.

It´s an amazing car no doubt and wich someday i can own one of those badboys but just a quick question why change to EFI when those engines and blowers sound amazing with carburator, just a personal tought, but once again amazing car and amazing crew working on it
We were trying to pile on modern technologies for this build. Ultimately, we relied heavily on the engine builder, and maybe shouldn't have? Keep an eye out for an update on this build coming soon for more on this.
Wow, that looks amazing. It's my dream to have a car like that. And pretend like we're still living in the 80s. Now, what was the problem with the engine??
Why the 80s? The engine builder accidentally installed head gaskets for a steel block and not the aluminum one we are running. Once we figured it out we contacted them and they asked for the engine back to remedy the issue. We took the down time to correct some little issues we had with the body and when we got the engine back we hooked everything back up and burned up the dyno!

For Joe (our body guy) it started learning from others. Then he apprenticed with an experienced body guy and learned all he could before meeting Daryl. He was trusted with so many wonderful jobs and experience and just kept growing. So we would suggest watch and learn on TH-cam and seek out schooling or a bodyshop looking for an apprentice.

What suspension kit are you guys running? I’m assuming the rear end is built but will you have to do any further tweaks to the suspension if the torque twists the chassis?
@@JustDriven We have a lot of fans of the first parts of Fast and Furious in Russia, and some also tried to recreate cars from films, there were cool projects Supra mk4, Eclipse, Skyline GTR R34, but nobody brought Charger 70s :)
@@JustDriven Yes, you need to look for them in the States themselves, and it seems to me that recently even you have found it difficult to find a copy of this car in a fairly satisfactory technical condition. + In recent years, we simply do not bring cars that are older than a certain year of production and do not meet the environmental standards that exist at present. But no electric car will deliver as much fun - as a car with a powerful V8 or V12 😎
The first one holds a special place in many people's hearts. It obviously affected us as well. We wanted to highlight the cars that started it all for many people. We just wanted to add our special sauce and correct some of the "flaws"

@@JustDriven We have a lot of fans of the first parts of Fast and Furious in Russia, and some also tried to recreate cars from films, there were cool projects Supra mk4, Eclipse, Skyline GTR R34, but nobody brought Charger 70s :)

@@JustDriven Yes, you need to look for them in the States themselves, and it seems to me that recently even you have found it difficult to find a copy of this car in a fairly satisfactory technical condition. + In recent years, we simply do not bring cars that are older than a certain year of production and do not meet the environmental standards that exist at present. But no electric car will deliver as much fun - as a car with a powerful V8 or V12 😎

The first one holds a special place in many people's hearts. It obviously affected us as well. We wanted to highlight the cars that started it all for many people. We just wanted to add our special sauce and correct some of the "flaws"
