- Meet Luca Betti, the Tony Stark of the Italian automotive world and CEO of Kimera Automobili. Luca is all about pushing boundaries and developing new technology to make the bespoke automotive process and experience even more unique and distinct from commercial manufacturing. In addition to a tour of the Kimera facility, Larry and Luca take some laps in the EVO 37, which is a supercharged and turbocharged 2.1-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 501HP and 406 ft-lbs of torque in a 2100lb chassis, making it a riot to drive.

The design was already beautiful for its time but to see it reimagined like this, absolutely stunning.
Agreed! Always thought the Lancia Beta/Scorpion style was an absolute stunner, for what it was, and for its time. These are pretty spectacular variations of the theme! Like a GTO to a 348.
Love when classic designs are tastefully modernized.
Yes, this is close to perfection
Check out the Maturo Stradale. Full carbon fibre Lancia Integrale. ❤
what" do" you" mean" by" that" exactly?!🤔
@@wreckloosecibblecaboot well for one is the new countach. Could of did much better.
A statement to his strong moral character and love of Motorsport is him giving credit to his team. Stunning.
This is the supercar for me...for the same money as for Ferrar 296 GTB you get this absolutely incredible special machine 😎
Isnt this like $1.3 Million? And the 296 GTB is around $400k
@@MrSeanman30 second hand market is 1.3mil for Kimera and 500k for 296...in € of course
This car is above every new car on sale currently save for T50 and the Eggs. These newer Italian restomods are simply dream world in reality.
What a beautiful car! This is the best modernization of a classic I’ve seen in a long time.
Larry, Jason, and Hagerty are unequivocally the greatest car culture content creation collaboration.
Larry, If it wasn't for your passion, most of us would never see these beautiful machines. We are truly grateful!!
Only an Italian braggart like Mr. Betti can make you feel like your a dear friend, without engendering any hatred towards him. Luverly building/villa and of course the cars, which all this love is directed to. Thank you for keeping all this love of car/Lancia culture, the world over. Grazie signore.
The red and green ones are to die for. Omg. So beautiful!
Luca summed up the point. Human TOUCH. Modern tech is ‘flat’ ( soulless) Bravo Luca
I've been following Kimera for the better part of a year. Yesterday I laid my eyes on #14 Natalia, in person, and It was truly a religous experience.
What I find stunning about the EVO37 is how understated it is. She was parked across the field from an exposed carbon Pagani Huayra. While the Pagani is impressive in its detail, IMO it's just overstyled, which isn't a surprise given Horacio's tenure with Lamborghini. The EVO37 evokes a natural beauty from every angle but with a petite framework that combines the delicateness of a victoria's secret model, and the spunky punch of an MMA fighter.
To the untrained eye, It would probably pass for a kit car, or possibly a modded delorean if painted in silver. However the elegance of design, and emoition is what makes the car so superlative.
Only as passionate people as Luca can bring to the world as great cars as his ones.
In my dreams I am flying to Italy, having dinner with this guy, and taking delivery of my car. It would be a better experience than Ferrari or Lamborghini. I wish. I wish…
I don’t know that I’ve ever seen someone who has realized their dream more than this man. So much passion. He may be Italian, but the way he speaks about his product and the little smirks and winks reveal his love for what he is doing. So enthusiastic. Would love to sit down with this guy.
GOLLY! Those reimagined Lancia’s look good!
They aren't exactly reimagined, he said they followed the same design philosophy, but just using modern techniques and materials. So "evolution" is the best term, which he already put on the car.
Hagerty made the best move ever by collaborating with Larry
And Henry!!

I remember Luca being covered by _Seen Through Glass_ years ago n being absolutely floored by his vision. A lot of folks back then stated that he was trying to cash in on what Singer is doin but they just failed to realise what Luca was trying to achieve. What a machine!
great job letting a conversation breathe... truly enjoyed it.
02:54 That wink as the car starts 😂💪🏾.
Luca, Riccardo, and Eugenio's craft revives the excitement of the 60s to 80s supercars, surpassing even the limited editions of today's Ferrari and Lamborghini, which feel more like supermarket cars in contrast
Riccardo....who? Thanks.
Even though I have no desire to own this car in the slightest, I love seeing people keep these types of designs and restomods being kept alive. I also love the appreciation, detail, and effort being put into these cars. I wish more car companies and others kept some of these great designs alive.
What a nice person is Luca Betti....talking with his hart what shows his absoluut passion. ❤
With the Kimera engine and the all-wheel-drive in the 038 we basically have the S4, except for the silhouette... Thanks to Luca Betti just for DOING IT
Man, how AWESOME is that double howling of S4 evolution engine..
💚🤍❤️
Larry you and your crew have put together some of the absolute enticing and alluring videos that continue to draw us subscribers in wanting more ,each one gets better than the previous, the content is always great Luca Betti has the soul of an old world craftsman 💯 ❤
Im tripping over the car covers itself 😮
You can see the Pagani influences in the car and even the buildings
I'm in love with this place... Love mindset of this italian....
I see two boys who has admired and loved cars since childhood all the way up to adultry, living their passion in this moment. Watching this joy they express makes me so happy.
The Kimera and the Stratos are absolutely the most beautiful reimagined car ever made in my opinion. 👍🏽
Luca knows how to transform dreams in reality , a sort of magician that put all itself into an ambitious rally car reborn
There is nothing I would change about this car. Beautiful, functional, unique. 😍
Your videos are always on point, keep it going
Of course, he's a good friend of Horacio Pagani's, makes perfect sense. We need more true automotive visionaries like them in the world. The only thing is it's a crime that Luca is only making 37 of the EVO 37's which means the chances of us actually seeing one in person is near zero.
037 is an absolutely beautiful car. Timeless.
Dream restomod right there. Literally the only thing I'd want more from Kimera is a Stratos but the 037 has such a stunning profile and stance it's easy to fall in love. Just pure and raw Italian beauty and power.
Equally easy to love is this Italy trip and the content from Larry (and Dino who I know is there somewhere lol)
Man you are doing god’s work showing us these stuff! Thank you so much! I wish Lancia can take notes from this guy.
Thanks everyone for watching. Check out my personal channel for more content like this!
Hilarious difference between Italian and modern American dress sense and style.
Fancy turning up there wearing a little boys hoody, a baseball cap and rehab pants.
I always admired and appreciated Italian and British car designers and manufacturers
Luca said "my friend Horacio Pagani"...nothing more to say!👏
The aesthetics of almost every square inch of his compound..... 'Perfetto'
Emotional . Woahhh . I'm speechless ! 700 year old wood in a sliding door ! Design realisation on-site. And the utter appreciation and devotion to form and function. I'm so happy Inwanna explode.. Thankyou .. I would never have known .
"Italian espresso, eh?"
This was the most Italian moment right there! 😁
But seriously, this is the way to go. In our consolidated and somewhat boring sterile modern world folks like him are important to inspire, to create passion, to share passion. 😎🤘
gorgeous. laid my eyes on Kimera Edda, and got the chance to experience it first hand. I was stunned the entire time but didn’t know much about it. Seeing this video gives me that much more appreciation for it
This is one of the best episode of Hagerty. Both shooting and the subject.
"This is where the passion is."
What a fantastic and inspirational car, and video. Thank you Larry & Hagerty.
In the very beginning I was like, "whats wrong with them? What am I looking at? It looks super cheesy and plastic." And then he reaches down and I realize its just a car cover that is made to look just like the car itself. Absolutely brilliant, and then underneath is a stunning work of art..
What absolutely won me is that Luca has his german shepherd around not loosing a bit of all that happens in that wonderful place. And asking visistors to play ball with her! 😂😂😂
A real car guy!
How could someone not love this. What a passion.
"my friend Horacio Pagani...." what a legendary sentence to say.
You can see how much love he has for what he creates. They look awesome 👍🏼
This is what a dream car looks like ❤❤
If only these weren't $500k minimum. $100k and I'd start saving right now
@@12xenn45 just let people have some dreams bro
100k is like BMW M series or Mercedes AMG, you can’t compare the workmanship, development and investment to make a car like this.
I don’t have this kind of money , either 100k or 500k , but I can appreciate the masterpiece that this car is.
@@rolha666 I like this too. I'm working for a big automotive company and people just can't believe how much time, effort and money (pain, tears, stress, suffering...) goes into the development of a vehicle. Even if this is a small series and need to pass less strict regulations. This is still incredible.
Have you noticed? Beautiful people create beautiful objects.
It all makes sense when you see the test track drive. Bravo 👏 to your incredible automobile company.
About 20 years ago I was doing a job in a clients house and we were chatting about old cars. He mentioned that he had a rare car in the garage. It was an early Lancia Montecarlo in red. Low mileage and in tip top condition.
I see it has the classic Italian driving position. I'm jealous of the lucky few owners. What a visceral and beautiful vehicle.
Cool life…nice vid Larry 😎👍
This is the car of Dreams! The love and passion that has been incorporated into each cars DNA! I can think of no other car that I would want in my garage over these beautiful cars! There are so many aspects to love about this car but those seats are just incredible. I have a real love and appreciation for other Italianand German cars too but this is just wonderful! Thank you so much for this episode.
Nice to see that Senna was his inspiration . Cheers from Brazil.
Just incredible! Love the philosophy, the experience and of course, the car!
All I see is Sega rally championship and the OG Gran Turismo. Nobody will beat Larry in his line of work. Absolutely amazing.
He said it! It's a human culture. The smell of freshly started dialed in engine....
The sounds
The feel
The younger generation have not a clue. Not all, but most don't get it.
We saw the green car at The Amelia this year. An amazing build, absolutely a gorgeous car and amazing engineering.
Luca created an amazing place there. Full of passion for Italian handcrafted cars.
It’s funny to see the Americans commenting how old things are XD
Have just watched primes Leonardo, engineering and art as a synergy, it lives on I the Italian soul.
Great conversation between the two of you!
Absolutely amazing,
This is just mind blowing
bellissimo! kinetic artwork ~ signore Betti and his team are modern day artisans creating masterpieces.
Great video , thank you . This guy is a genius and the car is like nothing else
This is inspiring because it is incredible the lengths they did to create these cars. Seeing the engineering and design behind efforts like this and Singer are really special.
It's a beautiful car that looks old and modern at the same time, it's amazing 😮
Love the cars, the turbo + s/charging boosted engines, the carbon, interiors, paint and then especially the compound. Bellissimo!
To have such a passion, to live with your creations, not to mention the century's of history around you... & to be massaged into a giggle fest of G forces, & all the other senses. I'm quite envious of you Larry, but how you present all of this, to us....
Thanx !
At first I was turned off by the price. Then I realized that this is art which just happens to be in the form of a car.
Absolutely beautifully re-imagined. Love his whole approach to design and philosophy. Great video. Just awesome cars. I'd love to see what he'd do with an X19.
Perfect describing him as the toni Stark of car builders.
I'm a Porsche fanatic but this has to be my favorite car of all time.
I think Petrolicous did a video about this guy a few years back
Every single time I see this car, it captivates me as if I'd never seen it before.
This is just...complete work of art, love it.
Really amazing. Congratulations to this man and his team.
Stunning. Absolutely.
Absolutely incredible car and place. What a brilliant video!!
Absolute perfection, simply no other words.
Absolute legend, what a drivers car! ♥
Wow that is unbelievable and so cool
This guy is the epitome of being a good human and a great car guy
I have a whole new respect for this project, and the efforts that Luca Betti went through to create this vehicle 🚗
Luca true man of taste an style. Great video
Brilliant stuff. Appreciate you.
I love the Interior design and The Starting Mecanique.
The Sound is on part as well 🥇
Perfect fit, Larry and Hagerty.
Can't imagine any other car I would have over this. No supercar would attract more attention at any event.
Wow, such a beautiful car. The amount of passion, design and engineering its amazing. Worth all the money! Congrats to Luca and Kimera Automobili. That's art on wheels, keep up the good work. 👌🇮🇹💨🏁👌
The car covers are amazing as well!
This man is living the life we all dream of. I'd lose the Alcantara personally though.
