    05:00 I feel like the exact opposite is true. My last sled was a 155” NA. Because it required to carry so much momentum, I felt like everything was coming at me too fast to process at times and it was easy to get into trouble. Now with a 165” turbo Pro RMK, I really feel like I can slow down and more methodically pick lines. No doubt it could get you somewhere you ought not to be real quick, but overall I feel like I can have a more relaxed approach and conserve a lot of energy over a few days of riding. I think though that it will depend largely on your style, tendencies, and what exactly you want to do on the sled. I like playing somewhat, but my main thing is to get from point A to point B in the backcountry as efficiently as possible. I find the power delivery to be smooth and very manageable. I got an IBexx clutch kit in there for this season, so it’s yet to be determined just how smooth the new power will be ha ha.

      I can see where you are coming from but you are talking about a 155 vs 165 not just turbo vs NA. I was speaking on a 155, with a Khaos and adding a ton of power you have to keep more momentum to not trench big time. Once it's stuck the turbo helps, but because the front is so hard to keep down you end up having to go faster. If not you are in a vertical wheelie constantly in technical terrain.
      A lot of people say they ride 65's because they can go slower and not have to carry as much momentum, which I agree with. I just think that in technical terrain it can be really tough on a short track pumping 220 HP. Compared to an NA or 165 turbo. If that makes sense?

      @@brentcook24 Yeah man that does make perfect sense! After much back and forth I went with the Boost 165 Pro to essentially avoid the constant vertical wheelie ha ha. The turbo helps offset the planted feel of the 165 Pro though, where it’s got the power to get the skis up with the throttle when needed. I live at 2000’, and ride at 8000’, and am getting up in age, so it seems like a nice compromise between practical and fun factor. My wife loved my sled when she rode it so she will be on a 2024 Pro 165 NA this season….lol. Thanks for your reply 👍

    I grew up snowmobiling got into dirt stuff and now at 45 getting back into it. Bought two 155” Khaos and a Pro Matryx I like the NA motor.

      Those will be a lot of fun! A great option for an all around awesome sled!!

    We ride in the West at 5-8,000ft and we have a few people in our club who have turbos, and they just don't have the skills, and just dig holes in the groomed trails all day long. There is very little need for it at our elevations.

      Ya elevation is a huge deal when it comes to picking the right sled. I agree lower elevations I would prefer a NA but being at 10k feet the boost is by far my favorite option!

    From my experience, if your goal is to be a tree rider, master a short track NA before getting more power. I ride at least every weekend in the NW and it's maybe 0-2 times a year I'd like to have the bigger sled; this isn't BC. I see many riders on 165 turbos that don't have skills and can't develop them with those lumbering machines, but then mostly those are the guys that like to go straight and hit the throttle; they're not passionate about tree riding. Myself, I'll get a turbo once I can afford a second $25k hobby craft. Good post.

      Ya I can agree, I think the 155 NA is a great sled to start on because it is really capable for everything you would want to do, but it is also great for building good habits and learning momentum and technique!! From there you could get something that is more setup for what you want to "specialize" in.

    What’s your thoughts on adding a single pipe and can to an NA? Do you think it’s worth it?

      I like adding a can to drop some weight and make the sled sound better but I haven't had much experience with using aftermarket single pipes! I have rode the outlaw twins and those are cool but I'm not sure on the single pipe being honest.

      @@kalerosie9824 I would say once you are comfortable on the sled off the trail going through intermediate terrain. Like comfortable going through trees on a side hill

    'I don't have any experience on superchargers" and then you say "i prefer turbos over superchargers"😂😂 and then you talk about having ridden everything?

      I prefer turbos because what I ride and what is out there I feel like is better on the turbo end. Seems to me there is a reason why superchargers aren't as popular as turbos? I also state that I have ridden everything when it comes to the turbo side of things. I state I have rode all the factory turbos and an aftermarket boondocker. Sorry for the confusion

    At $33,000 all in for a 2023 polaris vr1 boost. Was it worth it? NOPE.
