- In this video I take another look at the DJI Mini 2 SE. I know a lot of people found this drone under the tree at Christmas, so I wanted to review the drone and features again. This little drone is an amazing value.

This budget drone is much more impressive than the Potestic Atom you tested recently. The DJI Mini 2SE had a strong signal connection and a strait horizon, things that I value in all drones, including budget models. Great tutorial Marcus, and thanks for sharing. Happy New Year.

This 2SE was my first drone back in the spring (this year). Soon after, I picked up the M3P for the "obvious" features. However, I often grab this little drone and am still so amazed at the 2.7K video quality. I save the M3P for early, late day and night flights but love the 2SE in the daytime where I don't have to be concerned with obstacle avoidance. Thanks for the "refresher" video and for sharing!

I was meant to get this drone for Christmas but me being a big kid I had a few weeks before hand but I agree with you for a cheap dji drone is fab for what it is and I will defo upgrade in the future but for now this little drone is perfect for what I need it for with all the quick shots, great video and very informative good job 🤙

IDQ awesome vid thanks for giving me some security with flying. I am a brand new pilot that knows very little. I fly it around my house to get use to the controls , I've improved a lot in the control aspect. and you simplified the photo part for me . thank again I'm a new sub .

I have the Mini 2 and i have the Mini 2SE. When i go out and fly i take either or. They are both fabulous drones.
I agree! Both drones are great!
I mean its pretty much the same thing.... losing a few features with the SE.
Just a good airframe, camera and software for the price overall

I have the regular mini 2 which I bought used for an absolute steal with all the extras. While it doesn't have all the sensors and obstacle avoidance, it's a great learning drone because you have to actually fly it. The camera is amazing. Have taken it to the coast and I'm always looking for new remote places to go as I get tired of flying in crowded areas.
I still fly my original Mini 2 as well. It’s an iconic drone. 👍

Really helpful video thanks. Just one question. Is there any reason why you stopped recording when demonstrating the various automatic manoeuvres?
You have to stop recording before you initiate any of the automated flight modes. The drone then records them automatically.

Android phones work great. Check DJI's website for your phones compatability.

Got out boxing day for an hour, just managed to grab a slot with no rain. First time flying, was a bit nervous but soon settled into it. Quite easy to fly and the remote is quite responsive, took some video, not the best but with a bit of practice im hoping to get some nice footage.

Bought another cheap E88 just to sharpen flight skills...In a couple of days, hopefully on Feb 8, my daughter will gift me a DJI Mini 2 SE. will view your channel to get some tips. Thank you again. I would only use prop guards indoors, and I never fly indoors. 🙂

You either have the drone in beginner mode, or you are not logged in to your DJI account. 👍
Hello, can you add celcius when you says the temperature in your area? In my country we use metric system and I don't know how hot or cold is that but its okay no need to add that,thank you for using meters as your distance and speed though.

Love your channel, very informative. I lost my drone (dji mini se) while flying over the wetland on the Chesapeake bay. I did not know that military aircraft will jam your gps signal. Just a f.y.i. The plane was several miles away and i was flying in a unrestricted air space. I was doing everything right. It was in the rth mode, then all video stopped, lost signal and have looked for the drone but it is gone. Just wanted my fellow dronies to know about passing military aircraft. We are in a busy jetway here and do have alot military aircraft flying by.😢

The Mini 2/SE are great starter drones. They're tiny, parts aren't that expensive, good range.

can you set a way point or GPS course to fly to a predetermined location and back? I just got my Mini 4K and while I was shopping I looked at one drone that would follow a specific course.
This little drone does not have a waypoint feature. 👍

I just got my first drone yesterday and its the DJI mini 2 SE so im excited to try it out. Any tips for a first time drone owner? What are your thoughts on upgrades like landing gear and propeller guards?
Landing gear and prop guards only add more weight in my opinion. You'll be good to go with your Mini 2 SE as is. Have fun!

When you hit record for the video, does it go to your videos on the iPhone? Or how do you go back to watch them? Thank you.
I record to a micro SD card on the drone. You can cache lower res video to your mobile device if you wish. Or you can transfer the full res version to your mobile via the app.
Love your videos. Greatly appreciate the lack of fan boy narrative. Just clear explanations and flying with real untouched results.
Remarkable video quality on this little drone notwithstanding you had pretty perfect lighting on this fight. Would be interesting to see how this compares real time, head to head with the Potensic Atom.

Hello, I have a new Mini 2SE from xmas. The weather has been tough, so I haven't been able to use it much. Today was better so I took it up. Not too far from my home I received the message " weak signal - please adjust antenna." I had no clue, lost control for a moment then it was intermittent as I brought it back. Sounds like this is a widespread issue and I'm not very happy about. Has it happened to you? Any sure fire resolution before I give DJI support a piece of my mind? Thanks
I have not had that issue with My Mini 2 SE. Occusync is quite robust. 👍
I cannot press the led “button” light for quick transfer. There is no give to it like a normal switch. Is it a touch sensitive switch, or am I missing something?
The LED on the Mini 2 SE is not a button. I transfer files via SD card. 👍
i would love one but im in CT, im next to state parks, airports and military areas. plus i go up north to NH and all parks show signs says no drones, its like whats the point of having a drone then? always like watching vids though.
I'll bet there are plenty of places you can fly. Download the FAA's B4Ufly app and it will tell you if you're in controlled airspace.

Do you have to register with the FAA? Can you fly it anywhere as long as it’s for recreational purposes, and under 400 feet?
Sub-250g you don't have to register, but you're still bound by FAA regs. Google the FAA Done Zone.

Not really I was under a roof and in a WiFi intense urban environment. 👍

@@IdahoQuadcopter Good afternoon. I have Taken my Trust certificate online. I will be flying recreational for fun. And I have downloaded LAANC app to make sure I am flying safely in Authorization not required areas. My question is
1. Do I need to Remote ID my drone !?
2. When I go To Destin Florida the beach area there is a lot of red with 0 squares on my LAANC map, Do I still need approval to fly in these areas for recreation proposes (flying less than 400 ft) !?
