Pro tip on the controller, one thing commonly missed . . . If you hold down Fn while scrolling the wheel, instead of tilting the gimble, you get a zoom in/out. Super useful!

better zoom in post production, because it's just a digital Zoom and u get a quality loss ;-)
It might be useful if you are just flying and looking or following something in the ground not necessarily recording

To be honest, manuals are useless nowadays. Just get it out of the box, watch a video like this, then play with the product until you learn what everything does.
if not for TH-cam I would NEVER have gotten my Phantom 2 off the ground! the chicoms just don't make a manual worth a damn! I'm 59 now and i just pulled that Phantom out of storage and trying to remember how to make it go ( spent way too much on that stupid Futaba controller! Who the F sells a battery you have to put into a flame retardent bag to charge???) My NEW Mini 2 should land on my front porch this afternoon!! woo hoo!

I finally took my DJI Mini 2 out of the box. Your beginners guide gave me the confidence to take my first flight. I am a fairly experienced amateur photographer but new to drones. Thank you for this practical and easy to understand video!

@@constantjardinero My experience was EXCEPTIONAL. I bought a Mini 2 refurb from eBay and could not be happier with the purchase or the drone. It came packaged like new, it works perfectly and shoots remarkable pictures. I am a home inspector and use it daily in my business. I hope this helps.

I just acquired my drone. This tutorial is the best means of educating myself on the features and functions. If I had tried reading up or anything else, I would really have missed out on the full potential of this unit. Finally getting into the drone scene and just got my Mini 2. I can't begin to express how helpful this entire video was! Some of the settings and functions might seem self-explanatory at first but it helps that you went through them anyway just to remove any doubts. Thanks again for the effort!

@@zekefreak6082 it's good hehe I've been using it since it launched and the condition are still like new except for 2 blades that got some scratches because of accidentally hitting building but still can fly perfectly. + actually there's spare blade included wgen you bought it hehe.

This is fantastic. I am a first-time flyer however I have been flying all sorts of stuff virtually so by the time I bought my Dji mini2 I had a solid grip on flying. However, this video beginners Guide is absolutely a necessity for me and many others like me. It was so helpful that I find myself referencing it over and over when preparing to fly my drone. My intention is to record footage in the South American rainforest. I've already taken hours of videos in the Guyana rainforest on my practice flights. Thank you very much Jeven you are the best.

You are a master at explaining. You really went through it all in such an understandable way! You even went over the fact that there are multiple cords to link the controller and the phone (as I was confused for a good 5 minutes before I noticed the USB-C to USB-C cord still in the box). I'm also a part-time photographer, and your description about what ISO, exposure compensation, and other things are, as well as the color grading section were top-notch yet also very much to the point. You didn't spend any unnecessary time on things (which could have made this a 2-hour video), but you concisely explained in detail everything that should have been explained (and would have been inadequately covered with a 20-minute video). Excellent work!

I've been flying a Mini & just got a Mini 2, and also just retired so finally have time to actually get regular practice with these machines to add their capacities to my photography toolbox. I have been watching a lot of this kind of video recently, and this is BY FAR the most useful, clear one I have seen. I look forward to getting acquainted with the Mini 2 and trying out some of the tips you shared, as well as coming back for more tips and instructions!

Love this video, got my Mini 2 last week and took it out today after watching this video! One thing that caught me out that wasn't mentioned, as it was the first flight it wanted to do an IMU calibration, as I was out and about I didn't have a flat surface to do this on. So ended up back inside and doing the calibration on my desk. Might be worth mentioning. Love this drone !

I've been looking at similarly priced drones on Amazon like a DEERC 22 and it honestly looks like the DJI App is a huge difference maker in function and ease of use.
