As a new 2 SE owner, this video has been very helpful, thanks!
I'm glad it was helpful! Enjoy your new drone and get some good shots! 👍
i had bought an offbrand 150 dollar drone and couldnt even get it off the ground, this video convinced me to spend the extra money and get something worth it, it looks way easier and camera way better than what i have, thanks for this!
Yes, the dji drones are super easy to fly, and because they have gps, they remain very stable in the sky even when its windy!.
It's 250 euro now
Yes, it's a permanent price reduction, in the UK, it's now £269 (was £309)
Yeah DJI company alone is a professional drone only DJI drones
Brilliant and helpful vid without feeling overwhelming cheers!
This is my most favourite video so far
Thanks, glad it's helpful 🙂
Thank you
I will sub to you. Your a nice person
Oh, thank you very much 😊
I just buy a new Mini 2 SE...this video very helpful...my 1st fly..thanks bro
Glad it helped you. Enjoy your drone 👍
Bought one because of your video. Got it for €400
It's a good drone, isn't it?
I'm loving my new dji mini 2 se.. very reliable little machine.. thanks for the demo!
Yep me too 😄
Great video!
Thanks for the tips just bought one on Amazon today same day delivery so I’m excited to try it out once it gets here !
Have you flown it yet? Today was a great day to fly weather wise in the UK.
@@RobinDrones not yet. I was gonna go out and practice in this field just a few walking minutes from my house but apparently I live under controlled airspace lol so I need to find a little park with an open space in an uncontrolled airspace area. So I gotta do a little googling to find a nice safe area to practice. Otherwise weather is great here too!
@@RobinDrones oh just kidding apparently I can get approval to fly here. It took 2 seconds to get approved so I just requested an hour so now I can fly around at 200ft for a bit lol
So, how did it go? Easy, isn't it? 😀
@@RobinDrones yeah, It’s a lot easier than I thought it would be. It’s a lot of fun.
Awesome intro especially to using the gimbal settings, thank you.
Thank you so much, I hope the video was helpful 👍
Good video, thank you Robin
What a great video, I have just acquired a mini 2 se and this has helped me immensely. Ty
Thanks glad it helped you 😀
Great informative video, ive recently got the mini 2 se and love it, didnt realise it had the options yiu demonstrated for the camera, thanks Robin, great video
Glad it helped you, and thanks for the comment 👍. Enjoy the mini 2 se
Nice one Robin great bit of info grate video mate Don 🤠🇬🇧👍👍👍👍
Thanks m8
Thanks for the video
Just got the mini 2 se
Trying to get all the info possible
This was a great help
Glad it helped you. Enjoy your new drone. Is it your first drone?
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it.
I have just got my mini 2 se. really enjoyed this video as i am a novice !
Have learned more from this than i did from the DJI website !
All set up, just a bit too windy today for my maiden flight!
will let you know how i get on.
Cheers Dan
Glad it was helpful! Hope you get to do your first flight soon, you'll be fine as these dji drone fly very stable 😀
Good video I was looking for info about this drone this is the best one I found straight to the point non of the messing around about other things I will be getting one
Thanks for the praise. Dji mini 2 se is a very good drone. The mini 4 pro is obviously better, but it's more than double the price, that's why for now I'm sticking with the mini 2 se 😉
Nice video
Thanks 😊
very nicely done mate
Thank you very much 😊
Great. Thanks. Going out now to fly mine for the first time.
How did you get on with your first flight?
Perfect thanks. 3 flights totalling about 45 minutes in the air. Tried a few different functions and everything went well. Even got a nice sunset picture. 👍🏼
@insidemybrain4445 Nice, enjoy your new drone 👌
Great vid, mine arrives tomorrow, thanks for the tips 🍻
Oh exciting, is it your first drone? Glad my video helped 👍
Yes, steep learning curve 😂
I just got one of those at Walmart a few weeks ago works excellent
It's a great little drone. there's no need to pay loads more for a mini 4 pro when this one has excellent video quality 👌
Great video, Had mine a few days now, but it's been too windy to get flying! hopefully soon. I like the zoom thing you showed, not seen that on other videos. Cheers and Hi Noah!
I know how you feel if it's not windy it's raining 😑
Have fun with your new drone!
Great thanks. Hope my second flight won’t be so nerve raking now Iv seen this video 👍
Yeh I know the feeling about being nervous, but after flying a few more times you'll be fine as these dji drones are so easy and nice to fly.
Had the same last week during my first flights, my armpits were crying hehehe
Nice video suport from sarawak
Thanks and welcome to the channel 😀
Tysm❤
Your welcome 😃
Bom dia amigo, parabéns pelo vídeo, like garantido.
Thank you my friend, I'm now watching your videos 📹
Just purchased this one! And your vid as been a great help for an idiot like me!🤪 Thanks!👌👍
Your welcome I'm glad someone found it useful 😊
I bought the used dji mini 2 for 375$Cad and working pefectly fine!
Just becareful if the motor broke or if owner crashed it into the water before buying used one! Otherwise it is really nice dronr with 4k camera
That's a good price for the mini 2 and is all the drone most people will ever need 😀 👍
Thank you
You're welcome
Your son was extremely patient in waiting for a go (which hopefully he got 🤔). Informative. Does it always do a horizontal approach and then a vertical descent on the RTH function OR might it choose a direct LOS path (potentially through obstacles)? Thanks!
Yes he's had a go, and even had a go with the Avata with the goggles 😁
Yes, on the return to home, it always goes up to the set height first and then travels horizontally.
Hello my freind great video what phone do you use is the drone compatable to Samsung A12 android phone
I use a 3 year old samsung galaxy s10 lite. I think the A12 will work as its 64bit. But I can't guarantee it
@@RobinDrones many thanks my friend
Ordered one of Amazon for 250 EUR with the 3 batteries. I hesitated to buy the Mini 4 Pro for 3 times the price, since I never flied any drone. If I manage to crash this drone, I will most likely get the big boys, such as the Air3 or whatever comes next.
That's a very good deal with 3 batteries! Yes, that's what I think about the mini 4 pro it's too expensive for a sub 250g at £689 with just 1 battery. It also looks extremely fragile, and the gimbal is more exposed.
I believe the majority of people should get the mini 2 se, mini 4k or the potensic atom. Or if you're doing professional work, the mini 4 pro, mavic pro, or the air 3.
I wouldn't worry to much about crashing as,
1 they are very hard to crash!
2 dji care refresh is very reasonable for the mini 2 se for that added peace of mind 👍
Is there a way to change the connection from USB-C to Lightning for Iphones? Would your ordinary USB-C to lightning adapter work?
They supply 3 cables in the box
Micro usb to usb c
Usb c to usb c
Lightning to usb c
So pretty much it will work with most moden phones 👍
@@RobinDrones@RobinDrones Oh, alright, great!! Thanks!!
Interesting. Thanks.
Drone can be used as a hand held camera, [+ on stick].
Yeh it could be used for that :)
Thanks for the video, Ive ordered my 2 SE but i have a few questions before i take it up if thats ok, Can you remove the white cross on the screen, how many satellites minimum would you fly at, are the 4 green lights on the controller the battery status, thanks
Yes you can remove the cross lines, and yes the 4 lights on the controller are the battery amount. As for the satellites it needs a min of around 12 but it will tell you when it has enough for take off. 😉
Enjoy your mini 2 se when you get it.👍
Thanks for the quick reply
Just got this drone for Xmas, yet to fly it so looking at hints and tips and found this video very informative. I like that battery remover, where can I get one?
So the battery removal tool can be 3d printed if you have a 3d printer. If not I think some people are selling them on ebay.
@RobinDrones I don't even have a regular printer, let alone a 3d printer!! Lol but yeah I've now found them on ebay thankyou
L o robin do I need to use settings in the phone like bloothtooth, locations,WiFi etc or is all this done through the remote control.
It's all done on the remote, you can even fly it without a phone attached. So your phone is just used for the screen. If you have data running, you also get satellite maps. Or these can be downloaded before flying.
Great video for a beginner. I’m looking to get my first DJI drone for use on my TH-cam travel channel. As lone TH-camr can I use this drone to get some video of me driving for say a few secs?
Now you could control it manually while driving if you're careful. But for your use of tracking a car, I'd get either the mini 3 Pro or the Air 3 as these have active tracking. But these are both a lot more money than the mini 2 se!
@@RobinDrones Ah yes this is the problem you see, cost! I would love the mini 3 pro but right now I can’t afford it. I’m thinking maybe get the mini 2 SE to get me up in the air and some Ariel shots for the channel and when I’m a famous TH-camr I’ll get given a mini 3 pro from DJI 😂 well I can dream can’t I 🤞
@LoneWolfExplorer I know what you mean about the mini 3 pro it's just too expensive for most of us! I have seen people use Quickshots on the mini 2 se while walking maybe it might work with a car?
mini 2 se right joy stick pitching backward (toward the operator) will bring it back to me or move away from me. The reason I am asking this very important question is to determine the forward, backward movements are with respect to opeator (course lock) or with respect to the front position of the drone?
That's a good question.
So, all of Dji drones do not have headless mode. So forward will always move the actual drones nose forward. On the controller screen, you can see what way the drone is facing using the blue triangle compass 🧭
Nice carrying bag which 1 is it ?
It's very similar to this one..
amzn.to/3w9GCtA
But I gave it away as I wanted one with a shoulder strap 👍
3:31 you calibrated the compass like this and I did not know you could do it this way is it good way to calibrate it?
So that it to calibrate the compass on your phone, i have to do that nearly every flight when flying with the dji.
I'm still practicing in a small field, i wonder if my RH doesn't work because im too close to it?
Yes, you have to be over 50m, I believe, for the return to home to work.
@@RobinDronesThanks for the tip and video i enjoyed it.
No problem
Hello from Ohio, I have a new Mini 2SE from xmas. The weather has been tough, so I haven't been able to use it much. Today was better so I took it up. Not too far from my home I received the message " weak signal - please adjust antenna." I had no clue, lost control for a moment then it was intermittent as I brought it back. Sounds like this is a widespread issue and I'm not very happy about. Has it happened to you? Any sure fire resolution before I give DJI support a piece of my mind? Thanks
So, in an urban environment, the signal won't be as good as in the countryside.
Here's some tips if you are new to drones,
1. You need to point the remote antenna directly to the drone.
2. Nothing should be in the way between the controller and the drone, trees are bad as they are full of water, which will block the signal.
3. Flying higher will improve the signal.
4. Houses will be sending out wifi, which will cause interference.
How high and how far we're you?
I hope some of this info helps you.
@@RobinDrones Hi Robin, thanks. Tried again today. I took it up higher (350Ft) and took a different path. A little better but was hoping for more. Just a quick follow up. I've been seeing some success with these snap on Range Extenders. Have you tried them?
No, I've not tried the range extenders as I've not had any issues with the signal. Even in an urban area, you should be able to get 1km+
How far did you get?
@@RobinDrones yeah it was about 3/4 of a mile...lol But I want more now that I learned that these units can go up to 8-10 miles! haha
@tomm2271 Oh yeh, you're in America. Lucky, you have fcc mode max 10km.
Here in the UK and Europe we only have ce mode max 6km
So 3/4 mile is good distance from your garden. To get more range, you'd have to go out in the country with no interference 😀
Would the remote have a cable for iPhone ?
Yes it comes with a USB c, micro usb and a lightning cable for iPhone 👍
In the UK, do you need a license for this one?
No licence as such, but you do need an operator id, which you attach to your drone(mine was under the battery door in the vid)
An operator id is very easy to get, it's just name, address, and email and you pay £11 a year. 👍
Hi. I hear that DJI drones have many NFZ.... Have you encountered any problems?
No none yet the Dji fly app won't let you fly anywhere that's not allowed plus its best to check local countries website 😉
No issues. There are other videos you can watch about people going in depth about it.
Great video did you need a sd card and subscription,.?
Yes, you just need a micro sd card in the drone but you need a fast one like this...
amzn.to/41h1jPm
UHS-I U3 130MB/s
And no, there is no subscription.
@@RobinDrones thank you just seen your other stuff really good photography
It's actually very easy to get some half decent footage with this drone due to the amazing gimbal technology. All of my flights have just been shot it full auto so far.
Really nice video.. when you recording and fly this drone how is your voice come? Are you screen recording or? 🔥🔥
Yes, on that video, I just used my phones screen recording with audio function 👍
@RobinDrones wow i was right.. anyhow thanks for replying..stay connected 🫡🫡🤛💪
I plugged my phone into the controller, but I can’t find a way to input my operator license???
You don't have to put your operator licence on the drone. At least you don't have to here in the UK.
What country do you live in?
@@RobinDrones thank you.
It’s just that the app keeps steering me towards the CAA website. (I live in the UK).
I did add a sticker to my 2SE with my drone operator number.
In the meantime, I’ll persevere.
Have a great weekend😊😊😊😊
Do u have to callerbrate the drone it's self b4 flying. Thanks good video. I know u done remote. But what about drone. Any answers please 🙏🙏
No, no calibration is required unless you're very far from your last location, then it may ask you to calibrate the Drones compass. As for me calibrating the remote, I should have said "phone" it was my phones compass I needed to calibrate. Thanks for your questions. Please subscribe for more videos.
Thank u just sub. I got one in mornigs coming. And was worried about callabrating it. Thank you keep up the good work on videos.
Thanks for subscribing, I've got plans to do plenty more videos. Enjoy your new drone 😉 The 1st flight, you'll probably be nervous, but they are so easy to fly as long as it isn't too windy. I'd recommend downloading the "UAV forecast" app it's free for I phone and android. Have fun flying, and feel free to ask any more questions if you have any.
Enjoy 😉
I got the drone set up but my phone ain't got sound from video I make any suggestions. Cheers buddy amazing bit of kit.
The drone doesn't record sound as if it did it would just sound like a helicopter 😁. You can add music to the video with the dji fly app. There are loads of free music built into the app. It's an amazing bit of kit
These drones can handle wind. But I can understand your concern. Have you done a range test with it? Also, at least with my local regulations, I had to take a free test and I also registered my drone to be on the safe side. Something worth notating. Your country seems to be less restrictive about drones.
Hi there, I've done a range test here..
th-cam.com/video/w9HZM35-jqk/w-d-xo.html
We, too, have to "register" our drones here in the UK. We call it an operator id, and you also have to have a flyer id if your drone is over 250g. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@RobinDrones same here in the US. I have a nice DJI bag and keep the licenses in there. Thanks again 👌🏻
Yep I do the same, keep my operator id for the UK 🇬🇧 and my European 🇪🇺 license in the bag 😀
Nice tool. Where is the link you promised? You rotate the transmitter and not the quad?
Oh sorry I forgot to add the link, I've added it now.
www.thingiverse.com/thing:4723274
Yeh to be honest I have to re calibrate my phones compass all of the time, the actual drone I've only had to do once so far
why in my mini 2 se there is no option "charge phone" ?
It should trickle charge it by default, and there is no way to disable it that I know of.
Hi could you tell me which sd card i should be using finding it a headache. Haven't flown my mini2 se yet🙄
I use this card in all of my tech,
Samsung EVO Select 256GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 130MB/s,
amzn.to/3D9MaE9
And is currently on offer £13.79 so im buying another one!
Here is what dji reccomend, it just needs to be a class 3 sd card
UHS-I Speed Class 3 or above is required. A list of recommended microSD cards can be found below.
I hope this helps :)
Brilliant Thank-you so much. 👍
No problem
I guess you need connection on your phone to use this? I wanted to take this abroad but I don’t get signal there 😅
Hi, you actually don't need any signal connection with your phone. In fact it's best to turn off WiFi, cellular data, and Bluetooth or just put your phone in airplane mode to minimise connection issues. The only thing that you would lose is satellite maps. However, you can download the area before you leave! You can also fly without a phone attached!
@@RobinDrones thank you, that’s really good to know. Now I can buy without that worry 😊
Hi how do you take a photo and put timer on ? 😊
Do you mean the loading timer to render the sphere, if so that comes on automatically. If you mean a self timer I don't think it has one but it does have a feature to take a photo every couple of seconds.
Thanks! 🙃☺😑😋😋🥴😵💫😍
That's OK glad you found it helpful 😀
What's type of cable.. type C or for Android
You get type c, lightning for iPhone and micro usb. So it's suitable for most phones.
It’ll do 58kph in sport mode or +16m/s he was taking it super easy on it 😆
I think it was the wind that stopped it reaching top speed.
@@RobinDrones that’s certainly possible. I just had a terrible experience with a defective Potensic drone I purchased on the 14th of this month and I sent it back today. Their customer service was the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced I left a review and I never do that…but anyway long story short I just ordered the mini 4 pro supposed to be here Thursday and I am super stoked cannot wait to throw it up and see how that camera performs. Fly high fly true keep it over the tress and out the water 😆
What was wrong with the Potensic ATOM? Oh mini 4 pro nice 😁
That looks like the best sub 250g drone currently on the market 👌
The only thing that puts me off at the moment is the price.
Will you be getting dji care refresh with it?
@@RobinDrones The Atom SE I had would excessively go into Attitude mode and instead of just losing gps links it would lose connection with the remote and wouldn’t respond to any commands. It was like someone else took over the controller the drone would takeoff in a random direction the propellers would spin up super fast and then certainly crash into something… And the customer service. Let’s just say I had a terrible experience with them. But on a lighter note, I’m stoked about the mini 4 pro It’ll be here tomorrow 😁 and definitely getting dji care refresh seems kinda pointless not to. It is pricey so that’s why I put mine on the amazon prime card and chose the 12 month no interest payments 😆 What I should’ve done in the first place lol
How's the mini 4 pro? I bet the footage is amazing 😁
How much does it cost
Currently, it's priced at $339 £309
Why is this 4k?
I upscaled the drone footage to 4k, and the pocket 2 footage was in 4k native
learn a lot from you thank you! sub and like there
Thank you very much! Welcome to my channel 👍
That calibration of the controller is something new for me.. is not even on the manual😮
Oh I meant your phone screen to calibrate your compass, but as it was attached to the remote I accidentally said remote sorry for the confusion
In another video, by a different guy, he showed putting the mini into a hover and then told it to do a 180 picture. It took 9 shots and stitched them together. He then put it into a hover again, told it to do a regular pan shot and it took 6 shots and stitched them together. Is that accurate? Do you just tell it to do them and it's automatic or do you have to take the shots and move the drone manually?
Yep just tell it to do it and it does it all for you, and it does it perfectly it can do 3 types, Panorama: Sphere, 180°, and Wide-angle
Hi Robin
Hi
Nabavio sam dron dji mini 3 i ekstra je
360 DEGREES CALIBRATION? DANCING WITH THE DRONE? NO MORE?
Sorry I forgot to show the compass calibration.
Cheers for that robin I've just ordered the 2 se fly more combo . Question if you put your phone on airplane mode does everything required to fly still work. And are you on Instagram
Yes, it will still work, but the satellite maps won't show up. But you can download them before switching to airplane mode. Have a good first flight Friday is looking to be a good day to fly(if your in the 🇬🇧)
@@RobinDrones fantastic thanks for that just need to work out how to do that now haha
